I can’t say enough nice things about this place. Family owned and operated — the owners are the sweetest people. So warm hearted. Their gyros are amazing. They do not skimp on anything. The meat is tender and perfectly seasoned. The pita and veggies are fresh. The price is right. My only compliant is I wish they had a sit down restaurant with a full Greek menu. Between their positive energy and top notch food, this would be the best local restaurant and hangout in Vancouver.

Love this place. The food is great, they get u food in hand and on your way very quickly… even though you wouldn’t mind if it took longer because the people who work there are the best! So friendly, and sweet, this place really gives you that wonderful small town feel. Go getta gyro!

Wow talk about amazing gyros! The man who runs the place is there almost every time I go through and he is so incredibly friendly. The doo is out of this world. You get more than what you pay for. Only thing I wish they would do is add more garlic aside from that I wouldn’t change a thing. Oh and they have punch cards which is awesome

Quick, friendly service. Pita bread used was good quality and using feta cheese is a plus, will ask for extra meat next time. Overall a great pita.

I buy their gyro sandwiches at the Camas Farmers market and have always loved them. I recently bought one from the drive through and had a good experience. Nice ladies working there. No it is not an authentic gyro but it tastes good and is reasonably priced. I only gave it 3 stars because of the lack of authenticity and a drive through but it is a place I would eat at if I was in the area which I am frequently. It is way better than McDonalds or Burger King. Check it out.

The family who owns and operates Getta Gyro is so nice, so friendly and polite. Seriously, the costumer service experience is a big part of why I like coming back. The gyros are amazing. I wish I’d been able to try their baklava when they had it and it would be nice if they had some side options. I highly recommend Getta Gyro to anyone looking for a quick meal in East Vancouver!

Super nice man and delicious food. The gentleman who took our order also cooked them for us. The two Gyros we ordered were big and stuffed full enough that you can’t touch the ends together. We ordered the traditional which has a lamb and beef blend of meat, tomato, onion, lettuce, pepperoncini and some tzatziki sauce. The meat was an even portion and was not overshadowed by the veggies. Each of them are $ 7 which is a great deal.

It’s a small drive-thru business so it’s fast and cheap. But seriously… BEST gyros I’ve had. They have a loyalty stamp card so I go quite often and they’ve never let me down. The staff is always super friendly. Highly recommended!

Got a gyro from this stand at the Milwaukie Farmers Market this las Sunday and I was less than impressed. The three boys working there were really short, kind of rude, and I had to repeat my order to two different people? The veggie gyro doesn’t even have any falafel balls on it or anything, it’s just a bunch of shredded lettuce and some sauce out of store made tub. I love gyros but this was the worst one I’ve had

This place isn’t super authentic(no spinning shawarma griller and the meat is just pre-made frozen stuff) but it tastes good and hits the spot when you want fast food but don’t want a pizza, a burger or chinese food. Their gyros also travel well if you are ordering for others and driving home. Adorably tiny drive-thru only building. We ordered the basic lamb/beef gyro and it was about $ 6 each. Definitely plenty of food(I couldn’t finish mine), but they also sell gyros with extra meat for about $ 8.

The menu is not very extensive but I felt that it was enough. When you go to a gyros restaurant, there’s not really many items to choose from, so I was fine with that. The food was good, I had chicken shwarma and it was a solid dish, met my expectations. Staff was helpful and the restaurant was inviting. All in all, I enjoyed it.

I’m absolutely shocked at the high rating this place has… There is nothing traditional about it. I suspect that the baklava is not even homemade since everything about the gyros is store bought, and it’s painfully obvious. This place doesn’t even deserve one star, but the one star I am giving them is solely for the friendly nature of the people working there. Over-priced for what it is. Save yourself some $$ and buy all the ingredients at Walmart and make these at home. For $ 10 you could have gyros for a week.

Fresh veggies, soft pitas & tasty meats are what make their gyros the tastiest! But the customer service is beyond five stars because he owners are the nicest folks! The flavors are amazing & it’s such a treat to have one of their gyros for lunch! My friend has had them cater, and it was wonderful for her group gathering! Everyone loved it!

The best part of this place is the sauce. It’s very flavorful. Not sure if it’s homemade. The lamb is preformed slices that are just greasy and flavorless. If they are going to survive, the need to get the rotisserie of lamb going and shave the meat off. They also need to expand the menu from soda cans and potato chips. Some easy item include Greek salad, spanakopita, and rice. Even souvlaki would be easy and delicious.

To start, i am typically on the side of err when trying gyros, due to many poor experiences in the past with them. First time going here on the advice of a good friend though. Here are my thoughts… Exceptional customer service and delectable food to match! Friendly, courteous, and professional father/son establishment. Upon ordering the Double Gyro I was very pleased with the presentation. Very clean looking and well constructed. The taste was fresh and light while retaining a flavorful experience. I really like that all the ingredients didn’t fall out the back of my gyro(a distasteful pet peeve I have with many other foods that come in a wrap). In summary I will be returning quiet often to enjoy more gyros. The menu is simple, prices are amazing, stamp cards, and delicious baklava! Couldn’t ask for a better experience! Thank you Dennis and Zack!

In town on business. I almost missed this place next to the gas station. Short menu. Gyro. Gyro…or gyro with soda. Great food! Great service!

This is an expansion of owner Elayne Barlas’ baklava business that she opened in 2004. It’s a menu with two main items: gyros and baklava. Gyros can include the usual lamb-beef blend, chicken, or a veggie option(hummus, bell pepper, and kalamata olives). I inquired about the portion size. The regular gyro($ 5.25) has less than ¼ lb of meat, so panda logic required me to get the Deluxe Gyro($ 7.25) that had double the meat portion. All gyros include lettuce, tomato, sliced onions, feta cheese, and tzatziki. Diced pepperoncini is available on the gyro if you want, so I got that as well. Delicious gyro here. The thin strips of meat are cooked on a griddle, and you probably get around 7 – 8 strips for a deluxe. Juicy, tender meat, seasoned very well. Tasty tzatziki and fresh vegetables. I’m truly convinced feta cheese makes a gyro taste that much better. I’ve actually considered bringing my own container of feta for gyro benders should a particular establishment not carry any. I’m not really sure if the pepperoncinis added much more for me, but then again, my palate’s messed up from all those superhot stupid panda moments anyway(for example: ). Gotta love YouTube. I initially wondered if the baklava was from a completely separate business, but then looked online and noticed Elayne owned both endeavors. This homemade baklava is a family recipe, passed down through several generations. I like the bite-sized pieces here for easy eating, and the execution is flawless. Very enjoyable, not too sweet. No wonder Elayne is now lovingly called«The Baklava Gal.» At Getta Gyro, you can get two small pieces of baklava for $ 1.75. Getta Gyro is generally open seven days a week. It’s a family business, so I assume her family runs the stand when she is unable to. Check this spot out if you’re craving a good gyro!
