Gave them another try. Much better this time. Prompt service, food was still just bar food but it was fine for a late night drop in.

I’ve been coming here for about a year. I’ve always loved their food and had good service. I don’t mind waiting a bit for good food while having drinks. I feel that since new ownership of this establishment has gone down hill. I was so excited when I saw they had a great chocolate stout out of Colorado on tap with nitro! I ordered it every time I came in. Then the nitro didn’t work and they kept saying it would get fixed, but that was late last summer… Still nothing.
Today I went in with a co-​worker to have lunch. I ordered a salad I’ve gotten many times, candied Apple walnut with blue cheese crumbles. I ate it but the walnuts were not candied. Instead they were just rolled in brown sugar. You can imagine how sugary my salad was! I was disappointed in the service as well. Our server never came back to our table to see how things were. Actually a different server cleared our table and she was the one that asked how our lunch was. That’s when I told her about the walnuts and I just couldn’t eat it. That’s when I heard her bring it to the attention of the kitchen. One guy walked off and said,” I didn’t do it” like what! You put the food out, but you didn’t do it? I’m sad because I used to love coming here after work, but I think it’s time to find a different watering hole.

Great service, friendly attentive bar staff and a nice atmosphere. The happy hour menu was good, the right price, and excellent food! We had the rueben and the chicken fettuccini.

What a great place for food and drinks. Casual and a bit noisy, perfect for an after-​work get together.
BREAKFAST is AMAZING, the corned beef hash, breakfast burrito and/​or biscuits and gravy are the best in town, hands down.

Why Garage Bar is a 5-​star bar and restaurant:
1) Hours: open at 6 AM weekdays, 8 AM weekends, and until 2 AM daily, for those of us who aren’t on banker’s hours.
2) Breakfast. Specifically, Eggs Benedict. Very, very well executed, and the first batch of hash browns I had with it was sublime (the 2^nd was undercooked; I’m hoping that was an anomaly).
Some of the beefs other Unilocalers have raised are accurate: it can be slow sometimes getting service. The menu is small, and some of the food is pretty mediocre. Oh, also, beware the wings — they burn both going in and out. However, points 1 & 2 offset these foibles.
They have NFL Sunday Ticket, so you can probably watch your game here. The owner (one of the owners? Not sure if he has partners) is a huge Vikings fan, so there is a large cadre of Vikes adherents whenever they are playing, and it may make it harder/​impossible to find a TV with the game you want. On the upside, the staff are not surly about accommodating requests for a specific game, if they are able to do so (vis-​a-​vis the other patrons).
There is an outside section which is great during nice weather, and they open up the garage door on those days. Note that the tables are self-​service, as signs indicate — no waitress out there. Smokers even have a little tent over the two picnic tables dedicated to them exiled to the back corner of the outside.
There’s a pool table that gets pretty regular use, although I haven’t played on it yet, so I cannot attest to its condition or quality.
Prices are fair. As others have remarked, the crowd here skews working-​class, but they’re friendly if you give them a reason to be.

The service here can be mediocre, but the food has always been good. At least the things we’ve ordered so far, like the hot rod burger and mac and cheese. We rarely make it in enough now to try other menu items, but when we do, we want our favorites.
It can be loud with music going and drunkards yelling across the bar but what do you expect from a bar?
There’s a shuffle board, numerous seats and lots of tv’s to watch the game on.
I also like the fact that it’s less than a half a mile from my house. Great walking distance!
Can’t comment too much on the drinks since I most often came here while pregnant and couldn’t drink.
Hoping they allow infants in the outdoor seating area this coming summer, so we can enjoy a burger and a beer.

If the servers actually cared to greet you as you came in and did not have to wait five to fifteen minutes, I would have scored it a five. I love the biscuits and gravy, made with great sausage, and milk and butter to make it about as good as mine! Love the hit wings and everything on the menu, I am sure is great. Just work on customer service, Please…

Thoroughly unimpressed.
Loud environment, unruly guests, and though the servers were nice when speaking with us — their loud and persistent cross-​room conversations were truly distracting.

I like coming here for the food and the Angry ochard on tap. Wish they had another pool table or so. But the large opening garage door is nice for a breeze and fresh air. The staff are nice and friendly. Games are fun. Good place to have a drink after a long day.

Nope, not for food.
If you like the feeling like your invisible sitting at the bar, this could be your place. Food is an afterthought, looong wait times, overworked and understaffed kitchen, and girls who move around a lot but have mastered the art of not looking at their patrons, no silverware… done.

Great place to eat and drink, but the demise of Taco Tuesday as notified by our server this evening does not go unnoticed. Just a suggestion, you need to rethink this decision.

We Love, Love this place!!! We have been here a couple of times now, for lunch, dinner and even a large get together. Food is amazing! Always great customer service!

It’s not the nicest of places to grab a beverage but it does the trick. It’s very much a working class bar… Having said that it has working class prices with quality beer and food. Being in the working class I dig.
Pulled pork sliders are great and the stew was really good also.
Not a must see but def a pop in on a pass by.

Go in on a late Sunday night and order some bacon wrapped jalapeños and a beer. I was served by Brett who asked me how my day was and suggested some food based on my diet. The cook Frank (or ‘Flaco’ as some call him) came out berween cooking meals to hang out, too.
I have never been disappointed coming here. They have pool, pinball, and are extremely clean. I work sun up to sun down on the weekends, but those 2 hours to close on Sunday nights are precious to me and I spend them here.
Bring some quarters though. Other guests pick some lame songs and for an extra $.50 you can bump their selections back with your song choices. Those songs are pretty much my only complaint!

This bar used to be our favorite place to go on Wednesday. Now it’s horrible. New management has hired horrible staff and ruined the place. The last 3 times we have been in they have shut down the place at midnight, it’s a bar you’re open until 2. At least they used to before this new management. They put chairs us, turn music off, stop serving food, lock the door. all around you while you’re trying to enjoy your beer. This is the ultimate way to make people feel unwelcome and not want to return. This place will no longer be a place I and several others will visit, too bad because it used to be great.

New to the Garage? They’ll make you feel like family. Great food too! Honestly fantastic burgers (we order rare with bacon and Swiss). Specials every day of the week (our fav is Wednesday $ 6 burger and brews). Bartenders are incredibly friendly and will give you a hard time immediately ;)

Had high hopes for this place, most of the staff is amazing. There are a select few who make the experience not so amazing, but those were the ones behind the bar, well really it’s was just the woman with short bangs, that always seems to be running around frantically making herself seem busier than she is. The few servers who I have had were amazing. They made the experience enjoyable. There was one amazing girl with purple hair, she was the best. Guess she moved onto bigger and better things. Good for her, but it is their loss.
All in all, the food is amazing, servers are great, well most of them.

It’s a blue collar, kind of redneck vibe sports bar. The place has character, unlike most of the chain sports bars, and they do have some decent eats.
Try the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños. They remove the seeds, but they are still worthwhile.(a spicy version with seeds would be much appreciated). Their drinks are fairly priced, didn’t try the beers, but I think I saw a few with a properly dark color.
