I really enjoyed my meal here. I only had the Chicken Cesar Salad and the Salmon Won Tons but my friend had the fish tacos and enjoyed them. The service was a bit slow but it was a crowded Saturday night so we cut them some slack. Try the lemon/garlic salad dressing. Very good! We’ll be back!

The Calabria wrap was delightfully delicious. A generous amount of fresh roasted turkey breast with roasted red peppers that added a sweet finish to the favors coating your tastebuds. The spinach wrap was fresh and moist without over powering the meat and veggies inside. Our beers were cold and hit the spot to quench our liquid cravings. The staff was helpful and just the right amount of interaction with us to ensure the experience was pleasant. Thank you Farrars!

Tucked away in a magical corner… Not really. Its right there in Felida, next to the little gas station and convenience store, just around the corner from Felida Park. Where my daughter used to have soccer practice multiple times a week. Rain or shine. So a few times a couple of us would wander in for a snack while the girls were sweating themselves on the field. The service was great, the place is cute in a kitschy kind of way. Eclectic, but not strange or supremely odd. The food was fresh, they knew we would be needing to get back to the field soon so they were always fast. Only had a drink here once or twice, but it was made well and charged appropriately, as you would expect. If im in the area I will certainly stop in for a bite, but it is a bit out of my way for a normal stop.

Fun atmosphere and the food was great. We had the meat loaf with Brussel sprouts and a wedge salad. Place was packed. Great local hang out.

Just love this place! Close to home and fantastic food. I’ve now gone through almost half of their menu and still haven’t come across anything I didn’t love. Just had the Bistro burger the other night and can easily say it’s one of the best tasting burgers I’ve ever had. All the components were on the money… cooked to a perfect medium rare as I requested; absolutely off the chain!!! The chicken piccata is another favorite dish of mine and highly recommended. If you’re a pork chop lover, theirs kicks ass! In fact, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu… it’s all good.

We stumbled upon Farrar’s and I am so happy we did. It’s modern warm décor is very inviting, service was on spot, and the food O, my! I ordered the lamb burger and citrus slaw, the lamb was perfectly cook and the layer of flavors was pleasing my pallet. The citrus slaw was, fresh with a little kick, ok… it was amazing! My sister ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. The pork was smoky goodness with yummy tasting sauce and the little crispy onions and jalapeños made it. The fries were cooked perfect we shared a crème brûlée was good, my only suggestion would be a bit less crust on top. Lunch was mind blowing and I am wishing you were closer so, I could visit more often. Our only downfall of our visit was the temperature of the restaurant and the bathroom. Can’t wait to tell everyone of this gem!!!

I’m at Farrars at least twice a week and am never disappointed. The food and drinks are great and the service has always been pleasantly quick. I come here for anything from a quick bite for lunch to family dinner and drinks. It’s been a great addition to our Felida area!

Farrars Bistro never disappoints. In fact, this place has seemed to get better with each visit. I am impressed that the beer selection is ever changing and there is always has a fun variety of new stuff from northwest(or at least West Coast) breweries. So far I haven’t ever ordered anything that wasn’t cooked or seasoned incredibly well. The ultimate test(in my book) is with the standard cheeseburger and fries. I feel like this all American Classic can be treated like an after thought and thrown together in the kitchen with little regard given to seasoning and proper cooking prep. I rather enjoy a thick and savory medium rare burger with crisp and seasoned fries, and the good news is that they deliver just that every time. Due to a number of pleasant experiences, I chose Farrar’s for a company Christmas dinner(16 guests). Thankfully, Farrar’s delivered AGAIN. The food was fantastic, and the service on point(after the slight snafu with our reservation time which had us waiting a half hour, but the management compensated with complimentary appetizers). I am constantly impressed that the flavor of the food highlights the dishes. I chose the pulled pork this time around and I am so glad I did! I can’t say that I have ever wanted to eat a pork dish again, but I am going to make a special trip this week just to do that. The marinade used on the pork and the coleslaw was incredible. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well(from the special of the evening: beef stroganoff, to the filet and everything in between). No one was disappointed. Farrar’s is a true gem with a warm and classy environment, great food and service.

Happy Hour at the bar brought me to Farrars while average food and high prices had me wonderin’ why. The answer is simple: this is Felida and, in Felida, your option is Farrars Bistro. St. Louis Ribs — Chewy, fatty, with sweet sauce(2 stars) Crème Brulee — Sweet, fattening, and classic(3 stars) Wedge on Fire Salad with Buffalo Bites — Tough Chicken(2 stars) Bistro Cheeseburger — Tillamook Cheddar = +1(3 stars) French Fries — Sharing is caring(3 stars) Bistro-tini — Sweet … too sweet(2 stars) Honey Blossom — Honey Jack to the rescue(4 stars) Barrel Mountain IPA — Battle Ground’s finest(4 stars) If you’re willing to drive a little farther than Felida you’ll find better food at better prices, but when in Felida, drink & eat where Felidans do: Farrars Bistro.

First time here – not sure what all the hoopla is about. Friendly staff on a Monday night. Nice happy hour menu(appetizers and cocktails) at affordable prices. Enjoyed the crispy chicken bites – they were very moist and delicious. Caesar salad run-of-mill. Mac-n-cheese was tasty but also nothing special. The star should have been the lamb chops ordered medium rare but delivered well done. They were also very small for the $ 23 price tag. Served on very nice polenta cakes. Overall, if you live in the area this would be a fine occasional watering hole or a place for a bite out. Otherwise, not worth the trip. It’s an upscale neighborhood pub at most, not a bistro. BTW, what ever happened to wait staff or management«making it right» after they ask if everything is ok and then get a concern raised? Nowadays it seems it’s always an «I’m sorry» and that’s it. This is what happened when I mentioned the chops were overdone. I miss the days when at least the manager or chef would come ask for feedback or maybe a comped desert – not fishing for free food or anything, but legitimate complaints should, at fine establishments, have an apology component. This example shows that Farrars’ is not yet in the big leagues of dining.

I was really surprise to find a great place like this in this developing area. Good job, Farrars Bistro. Our waitress was amazing, she was fun, fast and did everything right. Love everything about this place…

I’m really disappointed with the lunch we had. The sandwich was plain with no flavor. I could have made a better one at home. The chicken soup had processed chicken that tasted worse than hospital food. I would not recommend eating here.

Caprese stack, $ 9.50 Taken alone, the crostini, balsamic and basil are nice. The tomatoes(beefsteak?) and mozzarella are flavorless. No salt detected, but I could be wrong. Filet, $ 24.50 Sliced through the center, butterflied, but after it was cooked, which was a major turn-off. Didn’t taste any seasoning. Tasted beefy and was a bit rare, which fine. The mashed potatoes were bland, but the broccolini were VERY tasty. Service — great! A few months ago I had 2 ribeyes here after they put them back on the menu. They were inedible and I sent back full plates and stopped coming. I’m glad they are turning out decent filets now, but steaks are clearly not what they are good at.

Pretty good food overall. I was impressed with the Fiesta Salad. People I’ve went with enjoy it as well, and we’ve gone back a few times. Nothing stands out to make it an amazing 5 star place, but nothing is bad enough to give it less than 4. A great place among an area with no other food nearby.

I decided to have lunch here since it was close to my friends house I am visiting. I got in just early enough to beat the lunch rush. The service was very good! All 3 girls on staff made sure I had whatever I wanted and checked on me frequently. The food was very good, I had a chicken bacon pepper jack wrap. It was awesome. I also tried their citrus slaw, oil based cole slaw with orange, cabbage, carrots, ect. also very good. I would recommend going here for sure!

We ate here for dinner on my daughters recommendation; she recently moved from Texas to Vancouver. I am a Texas Pescatarian and get as much fresh seafood as possible from our nearby coastal waters. Visiting Washington State is a real Pescatarian treat. Farrar’s Bistro has it’s own French Caribbean chef; Terri Farrar who adds the flare to the food and pastries served at this establishment. Courtney was a delight to have serving us, and she informed us that the Bistro tries to use ingredients from local farmers. You can tell when the food is processed or made from scratch and this was truly an unexpected treat. My husband had the Wild Caught Salmon(the only kind of Salmon to eat in my opinion) which was served with coconut rice and a side of tasty vegetables. I took a fork full of the salmon and the rice and it was very t a s t y. I ordered the Cilantro Lime Shrimp. I had no idea I was in for such a treat; I took one bite of the tomatillo salsa with southwest quinoa and vegetable medley; dang what a treat this mouth watering. Yeah, I ate the whole thing. My daughter had the Chicken Pot Pie for the second time and from the looks of what she ate, everything looked fresh and plentiful. My son had their Bistro Hamburger which was a blend of chuck, short rib and brisket and he opted for the sweet potato fries. We ordered their raspberry cheesecake which was an outstanding finish to our meal.

It would have given a five-star review because of its excellent service, atmosphere, cleanliness, drink presentation, and food presentation, but I got horrible food poisoning from a very undercooked ground beef patty. The meat was practically raw on the inside, and ground beef should never be raw on the inside for consumption. The cook either needs to go to basic school again or find work elsewhere, because who knows how many other people have gotten food poisoning from his mistakes. Other than that, the restaurant has great potential!

Normally, I love Ferrars. Especially in the summertime when there is outdoor seating and have their delicious seasonal salads! Went there tonight for dinner, and it took 20 minutes to be seated. The food was partially quick coming out, but when I got the salad that I was eating as my entrée, I was beyond disappointed to see only a child’s fist size portion of lettuce. Not to mention it was $ 10(including chicken) which was extremely aggravating, considering I was still hungry afterwards because my meal was so small. When dessert came, they got the order wrong, took forever to get the check, and the server charged us for the wrong bill which was $ 200! Not cool. I certainly hope the next experience I have is not as horrendous as that one, they most definitely need to make their salad portions a tad bigger because A. We’re not birds and B. I am not the first person to have complained about it. Also, it would be great if they added more parking because it was completely full when I arrived and there is no where to park around the area, which added on to my irritation. Not the most ideal situation to walk in the dark, in the cold, on a very busy street.

This place is so amazing! The dinner was exceptionally creative and equal to any five star restaurant. The pork tenderloin stuffed with spinach and goat cheese, perfect asparagus and mashed baby reds complimented perfectly. My husband had the meatloaf with elk and beef. also exceptional .The level of comfort food served here is amazing.

We went for Valentines dinner and was amazed by the new expansion an remodel. More room, dinner is now up front and a new door off of 36th. The food was amazing, the service by Amanda was 5 star equal to any top restaurant in downtown Portland. Farrars Bistro is very close to our home in Felida in Vancouver. If you are driving you too will be impressed with the food, service and fun of the Bistro. Look at the daily offering of local beers. I enjoy the different offering each time we go in for the daily 3:30 — 6:00 happy hour Monday through Saturday. Closed on Sunday. Add Farrars Bistro to you to do list for a great adventure.
