I’m not an avid gamer, so I have no clue how places like this would make a living. Do they rent out table space? I like to support local shops, so I don’t mind spending money here, but they charge MSRP for everything. Folks are friendly and helpful and it’s bigger inside than you’d think. I’ll go here when I want to pick up a game, but not because it’s the most economical solution. Nice place though.

Great store. A ton of gaming items you won’t find everywhere. Has all the usual suspects GW, Board Games, X-Wing but if you are a modeler/gamer this is the place for you!

I absolutely love this place! There is always a game going on here. Unlike in Portland where the stores make you feel like a number, this place makes you feel like home. They certainly go WAY beyond to help you.

Very rarely can I walk into a room and be the LEAST nerdy person. However, I met my match when I walked into Dice Age Games. A friendly group of 20−40yr old dudes were building spaceships and laughing about Magic Cards. Though I love Spaceships(Trekker myself) I have ZERO knowledge about the Magic the Gathering Game. That being said, I wanted to stand on a chair and yell«HELLO, MYPEOPLE!!!» But, instead, I walked with purpose(as if I fit in) and grabbed my expansion pack for Fluxx. The gal running the register was nice, explained how I could spend lots of money there, and get some money back later for doing it. Mathiness is not their strong suit, apparently. ;) The selection of games is epic, and I *might* be checking in to see what sort of events they do, since my husband isn’t a table top gamer… and I’m longing for some people who are! I’ll be back, Dice Age Games. I’ll spend some money there, and maybe get some back. Dang. She sucked me in. Only lost a star because I asked a generic question about the set I was buying and she didn’t know. I think knowing the games should be a pre-req. It’s ok, register lady. You are still my people.

This is a great game shop. Folks are really helpful and knowledgeable across the spectrum of minis, board games, and RPGs. Lots of gaming tables, great conversations, and friend atmosphere. Truly it’s an awesome place to spend an evening.

After moving to Vancouver I very quickly became an everyday costumer/gamer. It is a great place to play your favorite games with many like minded enthusiast. Great for all age groups.

Don’t let the outside appearance fool you, this place is huge and full of awesomeness on the inside. Their board game selection is phenomenal and they are the best hobby shop in Vancouver, hands down.

I came here to buy a card game for a birthday present. I felt like I had walked into a particularly geeky country club where everyone including the staff was playing one game or another on the massive array of tables in the middle of the store. Sadly, they were too distracted to offer any help to someone who was obviously lost, but luckily one of the other customers happened to know what I was looking for and gave me a hand. Two thumbs up for the customer, and I’m guessing that if you’re big into card games and this is your social crowd you’re going to have plenty of people to play with here. I noticed that they had a very large bulletin board with«looking for» type postings for various games of all colors prominently by the front door. Actually, that did surprise me as I assumed that was all done over the Internet now but what do I know? Besides the card games, I did notice a lot of painting supplies for miniature games, but are likely very helpful for anybody looking for craft supplies as well especially people looking for paint for models.

A good store! Lots bigger and much nicer inside than what it looks like from the outside. Friendly employees and people here. Big game selection.

Super nice owner in a well set up card shop. A great place to come play. One of the best in the region. The chairs are comfortable and the tables are solid. There is ALOT of room here and even supplies for projects. The retail area is well stocked and staff is helpful. I like this place as soon as I walked in the door

cards //dice //mini’s & wacko games I’ve never heard of. the owner(I assume) knows every game in the store by heart, which is freaky because there are hundreds. HUNDREDS. He also know plenty about olde bad movies; ask him about«Starcrash». Be warned the owner is dangerously loquacious, formidably knowledgeable, and sweet like candy, he even let me park my bike in the store.
