Best blonde EVER! I have been going to one of the top PDX salons for 10 years and my regular girl is going on maternity leave so I decided to make the big risk of trying again on the Vancouver side. I was petrified to go elsewhere, until I met Brooke! I was happy with my hair before, but now I’m thrilled! She is amazing! Very cool vibe, big smile and very welcoming. My hair feels healthy and my hair doesn’t feel like straw or blown out. My hair is platinum with no brassy. Soo happy I found someone, and close to me now! Yay! No more beating traffic in Downtown Portland! Thank you Brooke! Ps I cancelled all of my old appts and booked out with her immediately. She also does makeup and I’m planning on trying that soon as well! So happy!

Davina is an amazing stylist. She not only makes sure your hair is to perfection but she is warm and bubbly. She makes getting your hair done fun and a breeze. I’ve never left a salon getting the exact hair I wanted until now. Davina is sweet and kind and you won’t regret seeing her, and neither will your locks!

Great location, atmosphere, décor, and especially great stylist. Hillary is so personable and understands exactly what I’m looking for in a cut and color. And she gives great suggestions. I felt totally pampered!

I felt so disconnected with my hair before finding Kendall. This is by far the happiest I have ever been with my hair. I was looking around Vancouver for A WHIlE trying to find a salon worth coming back to.
I am a very indecisive person and came in not exactly knowing what I wanted to do with my poor hair. I was afraid to come in without an exact style I wanted for my hair. The only other time I had been so in love with my hair was when I went through Kendall at a previous salon a long long time ago. I trusted she would know what would be best for my hair as she did such a great job previously.
She did NOT disappoint. I left the salon feeling great on the inside and out because my hair looked amazing!!! Kendall’s customer service and talent are out of this world. I will continue to be a faithful client to her as long she is around!

I’ve finally found my salon! I asked for balayage, got a perfect balayage. Asked for bangs and got perfect bangs. The prices here are totally reasonable and for the quality of the cut and color, totally worth it. Lastly I’m a neat freak and would pick apart the cleanliness of any place but at D Side Salon they had ever inch of the place in immaculate condition. My experience here could not have been better!

Love my new Pixie cut that Kendyl gave me. She is efficient and so adorable. I am looking forward to my next appointment!

Lenea is amazing and talented. She has a great eye. She gave me a great cut and color.
She has done my hair three times and it was perfect every time.

I have been to both Hanna and Lenea at D Side Studio and they are both great! Hanna is very respectful of what I requested and worked hard to make it the least expensive as possible.
Lenea is my new hero who saved me from a HORRIBLE haircut (from another Vancouver salon). She was patient and creative as she tried to repair my cut, while respecting that I had been trying to grow my hair longer. She also gave me a great blow out!
Given my experience with two stylists at this salon, I would highly recommend anyone there!

Kendyl did an excellent job on my ombré/​balayage. It was the first time I had been to her and I’ve never walked out of a salon more happy with the way my hair turned out in the 6 years I’ve been coloring my hair. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to spice up their look!

Ask for Hannah! She keeps the conversation going while doing an amazing job with your hair! You won’t be disappointed!

Hannah is awesome. I’m a pretty shy person and usually keep quite when getting my hair cut, but we had a great conversation and lots of laughs! She cut my hair exactly how I wanted and showed me how to style my hair with salt spray in a way that didn’t look like I just rolled out of bed. :) it was a very good job that was worthy of the price and I will definitely be coming back.

Disclaimer: I am an easy going person, but when it comes to my hair I have very high standards.
I had a bad short haircut years ago and it left me scarred for life. So imagine my anxiousness in deciding to chop off 12 inches! I read the Unilocal reviews and decided to make an appointment with these ladies. It was a very last minute decision so I was pleasantly surprised to know they could make room for me. I was booked with Hanna.
I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. She was so confident in what she was doing, I felt right at ease. I also loved the fact that she took her time on me, I was there for a good hour and a half (seriously) and never once felt rushed. She also curled my hair just to show me how to style it in the future. There was no hard sell for products, just a genuinely great haircut experience. I really couldn’t believe how great the haircut turned out.

Amazing is not a good enough word to describe the D side studio team! My bridesmaids and I went and had our hair done for my wedding at D side and it was wonderful. Hannah, Katie, and Heather did an amazing job on the bridesmaids hair the hairstyles were exactly how I wanted them done. Allison did my hair and it turned out better then I ever imagined it! Audra at the front desk is awesome too! She had everyone feeling at ease and having a good time. They are incredible, very professional, great hospitality and very timely. The wedding day was perfect, we started the big day at D side and if it weren’t for the great team there I don’t think the day would have been as perfect as it was. I definitely give D side 5 stars and would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thank you girls for making my day one ill never forget!

Katie is an amazing stylist. My hair was mutilated & Katie is bringing it back to life. Prices are great & the facility is clean & comfortable. I highly recommend this salon.

I have always had my hair cut by my sister. Unfortunately she recently moved back to California. I had been trying to find someone in the area who would recommend a stylist who could cut short hair. I got on Unilocal,found D Side Studio and decided to give it a shot. The stylist I was given was Katie, who was extremely friendly and sincere. But most importantly, Katie did an amazing job on my hair! My style these days is a pixie that’s a bit longer than the typical length. Katie point cut and textured my whole head. I loved it immediately… I had no «get used to it» period. Still loving it 2 weeks later. I will definitely go back and have Katie cut and color it. Soooo happy to have a stylist I can trust!!!

Love this place. Very friendly, good music, clean, and most importantly — talented staff! My favorite is Heather. The cut and color I got from her is outstanding. I’ll never go anywhere else now that I’ve found D Side.

Go to Heather!!! She listens & gets it right the first time! I dye my hair platinum blonde & no one has ever done this good of a job!!! Friendly staff & the salon is super chic~ Thanks Heather =)))
