Been here a few times but never for a packed USA game. I was impressed that they still had fast service at the table and at the bar. The pastrami burger was their special and a first time for me. 4 of 5. Clean rugby sorts bar. And good food.

I can’t stop thinking about the turkey club! Yum!!! Gooood werk! The waitress wasn’t SUPER attentive but then again one of the girls in my party was being pretty annoying so I understood.

This place has been my favorite, especially for Happy Hour. But, alas! No more. They have jacked up the cost of drink, Lemon Drop to be exact, by three friggin’ dollars! And they had removed a lot of imported beer from the drink menu as well. Good and services are still good, but this day and age of bar options being abundant I will probably choose to go try out somewhere different from now on.

This place supports homophobes. Stay away from any comedy night. One comedian pretended to talks about gay cover bands. He said he didn’t know they existed till he went went to San Diego. I’m thinking somewhere in between he got rejected by a homosexual or realized he hates them. I say this with extreme caution and compassion. I confessed to the Third World Immigrant Asian comedian that my kid was gay. Then he proceeded to make fun of gays in a parody mimicking pop music humiliating sort of way. The last set was called butterfingers covering Eminem. Then it turned extreme homophobic once he took a survey and asked who was gay and straight. Once I volunteered the status in question he flip flopped and made about his personal rejection and then to drowned me out with the microphone. He said that women flipped flopped but men didn’t. I defending my kids honor but the bully drowned me out with the microphone. I’ve been a patron since 2006. I can’t recommend this homophobe establishment.

Great place to go watch sports games with friends, 2 big screens inside, the outdoor patio also has TV’s. Be prepared to wait sometimes there is a wait time to be seated inside, specially for game days, place does get very crowded.

This is literally the worst food I’ve ever ate in my life. 2 days old or older. Double deep fried. The mac n cheese balls were disgusting! The fries were mixed w overcooked and undercooked. The server was great. Everything else sucked! And overpriced.

Quick review. Seems like it’s a nice little spot to hang. Small outdoor section and a decent size inside. It’s like a mini bw3. Didn’t have a meal but I had the garlic fries which were pretty good. the fries on the bottom were pretty greasy from sitting in the oil though and the garlic is no joke. I also had one wing(lol) my only complaint about the wing was it was very salty. $ 5 for a short domestic and $ 8 for a crown on the rocks gives you an idea what the drink prices are like. The staff was overall pretty nice. service outside was kinda slow. I wouldn’t mind going back again to hang and check out the food!

Great place with tasty food & friendly servers. The fish & chips are the best! Rewards /FREE !!! They just added a reward program with a birthday club. I signed up for an instant free item & can’t wait to get more. Look for the Kiosk at the hostess station

Great neighborhood bar with lots of big screen TVs for watching the game. South African menu is very unique and they update the menu regularly. I love the Red Kidney Bean Salad, and my husband says the ribs here are awesome. Every bartender at The Springbock is terrific, too!

I have been here a bunch of times. The owner has seen me and my boyfriend for years. On their receipts they don’t have an 18−20%tip section at the bar because drinks don’t have tax(which is amazing and I’m not complaining) I told the bartender he should add one and Angela cussed me out and told me to shut the fuck up, apparently she is a bartender that is off duty but I don’t appreciate being cussed at by and employee when I am a good customer. I will walk out every time I see her.

Went for a few drinks and early dinner with friends. After an hour the TV is turned up for the Oscar’s and so loud we couldn’t talk. We asked several times for the volume to be turned down and we’re ignored. I finally yelled to my friend sitting across the table because when I said it in a human volume he couldn’t hear. This brought out the manager who clearly is on insulin to respond. He asked if the volume was OK for sports. I shouted back that it’s too loud for anything and we couldn’t hear. I then said he lost a customer. His response was«Good. I don’t want you anyway.» Hell never see me again. I walked out and left him to pay the bill.

To start. Sarah our waitress was Great. Food was tasty and good. But when I spend over 100 $ I don’t enjoy people who smoke outside where it says No Smoking while your eating. The people(6 +) were asked to stop… didn’t… and then came back later to blow smoke again this time right by the outside entrance toward our table. Not my most enjoyable experience. Please enforce your No Smoking signs.

From someone who lived in South Africa for 6 years — I found it to be very South African… which I LOVED ! Food isn’t as good as there though… and the service is FAR from it… The service in South Africa was just amazing, but somehow it get lost here in the US… and the servers do not have the right pride to their job… and does not treat it with the right professionalism. All in all — I may come again — it was quite good food and we didn’t wait much. It’s SPECIAL place — SPECIAL food — and for this, I’m willing to tolerate a bit… If you never visited there — I recommend going at least once… judge for yourself — you may like it very much… or may not… but I’m sure you’d think it’s a unique place and was worth the visit :)

Upon going for weeks on end, instead of being welcoming they were very rude. That place is always dead and the majority of the clientele are employees. I guess they just want their friends there. I would give less stars if I could. Btw, Seth and Ashleigh are the bar tenders whom were very rude to us. Ashleigh should not work in the service industry she’s a very sour person. Before this incident she was never very nice and always gave us unnecessary attitude. We tip as well so I don’t why?

I’ve been meaning to go to this place, but the parking situation is a bit of a #$*%£! Pain? But yeah, don’t let that deter you from stepping in and giving it a chance. I actually thought it was a nice surprise. It’s your average sports bar that has tv’s in almost every corner, a pool table, beers galore and that sports bar smell. However, the best part for me would be the yummy food!!! I don’t think I’ve been to a sports bar that serves excellent dishes. I mean, usually I get pretty decent food in a sports bar, but the food here I would actually come back for. The food here actually distracted me from the tv and let’s face it, I’m still thinking of those sosaties skewers. We actually went here coz I was curious about South African food and I happen to love peri peri and I was so happy to learn they have peri peri. Their menu looked awesome and I got distracted from the peri peri and after much discussion, we got the skewers and fish and chips. I wish I didn’t have dinner before going here coz I wanted to order more items. Luckily, there will be a next time.

The Springbok Bar & Grill was founded by Peter Walker, Robin McLean and Graham Taylor. We are all South Africans hailing from Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. Having lived in America for many years we noticed the lack of a really good rugby bar and decided that the time had come for us to do something about it. Our goal is to not only create a fantastic, comfortable and friendly environment to watch Rugby, Cricket, Soccer and American Football and Baseball, but also to create a great menu showcasing the cultural diversity of Southern Hemisphere foods. STATS: Monday — Sunday 10:00 am — 2:00 am Indoor/outdoor seating Private Lot & street parking Free Wi-Fi Flat screen TVs EXPERIENCE: This is one of beer snob’s regular places in the valley. We came here one Friday eve and it wasn’t too crowded when we arrive, we were seated fairly quickly. However, within a half hour, the places was hoppin’ and poppin. The covered patio was a bit quieter than inside, yet, it was nonetheless a bit noisy to hold any kind of private conversation because the patio is tightly jammed with tables and chairs. A large party was seated at the far end of the patio, but were quite boisterous. Clearly, our server was a bit rattled and overwhelmed with the number of tables she was assigned. It took about 15 minutes for her to greet us, another 20 to deliver our drinks. Fortunately, we made use of the downtime and were able to order food and drink at the same time, which resulted in our food coming out about five minutes after our drinks. I ordered: Chicken Sosaties-Grilled on skewers coated in our slightly spicy apricot marinade, served on a bed of rice. Beer snob ordered: Chicken Peri-Peri– A large boneless breast coated in our homemade peri-peri sauce and grilled to perfection, served sliced over Springbok Fries with a side salad. A house favorite and«must try» for spice lovers. Although beer snob really enjoys this establishment and their offerings, it wasn’t for me. The flavors were ok, the service was meh, and the noise level could break sound barriers. Overwhelmed server checked on us once, fortunately for those who arrived after we did, a second server stepped in to help out. Check, please!!! Third time here, time to review… for interesting historical/cultural points, see Gary I’s review… I’ve had the Durban Curry of the Day($ 13) ALL three times I’ve visited. It’s lamb, luscious, tender and delicious. Served atop yellow rice with a wheat roll, fresh, diced tomatoes and shredded coconut. I really do have to branch out, but this curry is just THAT good! Today, I brought two colleagues here, and they were equally impressed with their food selections. One had the Guinness Stew($ 12) and, unexpectedly, finished all of it. This comes with a spring mix salad with the house dressing, a pleasant mustardy blend. The other had the buffalo wing quesadillas($ 8). Pretty presentation, stacked. She also devoured all of it and said it was tasty and a tad spicy, but not too spicy. She had requested the sauce on the side. Haven’t been here to drink… yet. Always here on a work day. Seems like a fun place for game days, trivia nights(Tuesdays) and people watching. Only one star off for service that’s friendly, but a tad too slow.
