So, if the entire thing did not end up in complete shambles I would have left 5 stars, but I can not. My(now) husband and I went to Rev. Chuck to elope and then plan a small surprise wedding for our immediate family for the following day. Rev Chuck was very nice and the process went a rather smoothly. I was a little confused because though he was nice he didn’t explain everything very well so I asked questions, one being lines 30A, 30B and 30C, I asked if I were to put my married name there and he said no, to put my current name there. I felt that it was wrong so I asked 3 times and he told me the same thing; he does this every day so I figured that he knew what he was talking about. A month has passed and I followed his instructions on how to proceed with changing my name; I went to the county clerks office in Van Nuys, went to the Social Security building and then to the DMV. When I got to the SS building they told me that my name had NOT been changed on my marriage cert, but that he could change it on my ss card, great I thought. I THEN went to the DMV and was told that they could NOT change my name due to the fact that my marriage license did not have my married name listed. I called the main county clerks/recorder’s office in norwalk and I was told that I could not change it with them, that I would have to go to court to legally change it. I contacted the court and they said it will cost 270.00. I think this is absolutely ridiculous, what woman does NOT want to change her last name when she gets married? Though I did really like Rev. Chuck I was disappointed to how he reacted when my husband called him and explained to him what happened, you would think that he would try to help seeing that it was his mess up. I now have to contact my credit card company and speak to them because I feel as though I should be reimbursed for at least half of what I paid due to the inconvenience. I am beyond frustrated and extremely displeased with the lack of empathy and consideration Rev Chuck had. Again, was very nice and maybe he was just in a hurry or something that day, but his lack of attention to detail caused myself a great inconvenience and will cost me more than enough money to fix HIS mistake, not to mention what other complications may occur to do the fact that my socal security card has my married name and my driver license has my maiden name. Such a disaster!

REV. CHUCK is AWESOME! Quick, Efficient, and Right on Time! I called set up an appointment time. When we arrived, We filled out applications for the Marriage License, Had a quick official«I DO» and received«proof copy» on the spot! He explained in detail our next steps, how to make my name change and how to acquire our«Certified Copy»! Let’s not forget great rates and I even used Paypal! …and I am now a happily married woman without the fanfare and stress. Less than a hour and we were on our way! Thanks Rev Chuck!

had my legal ceremony here and Rev Chuck was great and exactly what’s to be expected at a place like this! It’s def a no frills kind of place in a strip mall, so if you’re looking for a nicer quicky wedding venue, this probably isn’t it. We are having our big ceremony in Mexico, so we just needed something to make it legal. His prices are the best I can find for same day license and ceremony which was nice since we got to avoid going to the court house all together. He allows up to 30 guests without charging extra like a lot of places do and he even let us bring our dogs! I came to his walk in hours at noon on saturday and we didnt have to wait at all. He works the ceremony like a well oiled machine w/a check list of exactly what you want him to say or not say. You can just sign at his table and do no ceremony, or have a longer ceremony in front of guests. We went short and sweet and in literally less than 20 minutes of paperwork and ceremony, I was a wifey!
