Most delicious thai in Van Nuys. Its a small joint but has friendly staff, great food and quick service. Ordered several noodle dishes and soups, all have been well above my expectations! Give this a try, if you dont live too close, its worth the drive.

I went with my family. My kids loved the food. The wanton soup was great. Good service and clean place. I will go there again for sure.

Second time here at Picka Rico they have so much to choose from it makes it so hard I had to plan before I came in today which failed and ordered something totally different of what I had in mind, patiently waiting now with a free Thai iced tea with a check in!

This place recommended by the print shop next door… I am indebted to him for this recommendation. I am in love with this place — Thai and Mexican under one roof. I glutinously hoovered my tacos down: spicy shrimp and spicy fish. The sauces were both amazing and their menu is impressive. I am looking forward to sampling everything they have to offer.

I loved the curry burrito, but the teriyaki plate kinda sucked, but like I said the curry burrito was truly incredible!

The worst burrito I’ve ever had!!! My girlfriend and I ordered for delivery one night and got the beef burrito and the chicken burrito. Horrible, rice is DISGUSTING!!! Meat is cheap/no flavor. We called back to have the delivery driver return us our money.

I did delivery for this place, which I am assuming was my mistake as everyone is posting how good the food is. The food I got was awful. Literally no flavor. The quesadilla seemed like they just sprinkled cheese on a tortilla, cooked it in the microwave, and called it a day. The pad Thai was beyond bland and got worse as I ate it. I know eating in the restaurant is always better, but I don’t know if it’s worthy trying, that’s how bad it was.

Small quiet place with Mexican/Thai fusion! WHATTHE! That’s right, curry asada fries, Mexican fried rice, tacos, etc. Really good stuff. Fair pricing. Hope they stay in business!

So close to home and I mean my apt. Friendly staff. Not too keen on the teriyaki beef burrito although I love to try new things. HOWEVER, the teriyaki quesadilla and chicken taco salad is bomb! I can inhale those. Willing to go back and try other interesting dishes

Love it! This place is amazing! Food — TASTY! Customer Service — AWESOME! The price — GREAT! These guys are doing good job. I order always online for delivery because I have an infant, so this place is exactly what I need. The delivery guy is so nice and after 20 – 30 min he is at my door with everything warm and fresh and DELICIOUS! What else can you wish? MEXICAN + THAI. If you like that kind of food you’ll love this place. :-) thank you guys! You’re the best!

Ordered from here off a group order from Eat24. Order was 30 min late. Everyone else’s order was correct but cold. I ordered soup which arrived mysteriously dirty-looking and half-eaten. Disputed order.

MmmMmmm very delicious!!! We wanted to come to a place we’ve never been too and this place had amazing reviews! I ordered the crab rangoons, DELICIOUS and 1 chicken taco, which was a bit spicy for me. My wife ordered the fried tofu and egg rolls. She loved the fried tofu and the girl at the register gave a side of rice on the house for her! THANKYOU! She wasn’t too fond of the egg rolls, that’s OK because I ate them. LOL. My, mother ordered the shrimp rice plate. It was FULL and she ate it for 2 days!

For the cost it was not great, tempura tasted like fried chicken they must have used old oil, currry is watered down altho taste was ok not much coco nut taste in it, calamari was ok also too dark and too crunchy i believe its the batter and the oil they use, pad thai was good comming from a non thai resturant, will i order here again probably not. Tempura picture will be uploaded.

When I think about great food fusions Mexican-Thai does not come to mind. I’ve never fathomed chicken curry quesadilla, but somehow Picka Rico has successfully captured the best of both worlds. If chicken curry quesadillas are a bit too adventurous for your palate you can chose to partake in either Mexican or Thai delights solely. They have a large selection of strictly Mexican food choices such as taquitos, tacos and nachos and they also have strictly Thai delights such as Pad Thai, «Pad See You» and an assortment of tastily described fried rice. My first encounter led me to the Pad See You which was utterly delicious. It was well portioned and packed with tons of flavor. Above all else, it was reasonably priced. The second time I came here I wanted to be a bit more adventurous and got the tacos with the chicken curry quesadillas. The regular chicken tacos were decent but I would suggest going for the spicy chicken. The spicy chicken contains a lot more flavor and the spice level is only at a medium. BUT oMGahhhhh the chicken curry quesadillas were the money shot! Such a great blend of Thai and Mexican piquancy! It’s ooey gooey goodness with every bite and a must-try! Service is excellent, parking is ample in the rear and the prices are pretty reasonable.

I ordered a quesadilla. It was booooooomb. They used real cheese. I’m lactose intolerant, but the toots were worth it. Boyfriend got something, I forget what if was but it was delicious and we got padthai for his mom, got a few bites from it. Other places usually make it really sweet, but this padthai was on point. Got that check-in deal for a free Thai iced tea and it was good. Yeah, I had to toot it and boot it. But it was all worth it.

Picka Rico is an incredible neighborhood restaurant that serves homemade Mexican and Thai food. Their flavors are very nice & the blend of spices are homemade and very very very hot. The food was also very hot temp wise, which is great for the winter time I just think that during the summer it maybe wise to keep it down a bit. We had a smörgåsbord of both cuisines including the taco combo, the Tom kah coconut soup which was delicious(i love soup) we had the spring rolls, steamed tofu and spicy carrots. The music was awesome as well, the chef loves edm and is a DJ, which goes hand in hand with cooking. Always mixing and blending flavors. Give this place a visit and you will definitely enjoy your experience!

Ordered online at 1:24pm the it is now 3:24pm when i received it. Totally unacceptable since we are literally 2 min drive from the restaurant. Aside from the awful delivery time, let’s talk about the god awful food they delivered. Let me just say that the 1 star is because the food was actually warm, since they had to remake it after i enquired about my food being late more than 1 hour. If you look at all the uploaded pictures of their food, there is nothing there that looks like the pictures. My co-worker and I fell for pictures, since she thought the Fried Rice with Shrimp looked awesome, and I thought that the burrito looked amazing. But come to find out that it was far from good. The Burrito was made up of mostly rice and beans, lightly sprinkled with tough cheap beef, worst than that of Del Taco meat. in fact Del Taco has better meat. The fried rice was oily, bland, and mushy. I cringed at the very idea of eating it. I counted 4 shrimps total and the rest was just hard to look at. As a kicker, I had ordered the Nacho Fries, but that was just damn awful too. It had a combination of fake wiz cheese and shredded cheese, guacamole that looked like it had browned over 2 days, tons of sour cream, and very watery pico de gallo that made all the fries soggy. This was a total waste of time. It was 98% aggravation, .5% satisfaction, and 1.5% just filler. Places like these should not be given a chance unless you are drunk out your mind and don’t know the difference between good food and bad food. Worst thing is that i had to wait for the delivery to get my money back from them, because would not reimburse me for the meal, even tho they are the intermediary contact. Please save your appetite for something better.
