Olympia Marble & Granite

When you go to Olympia Marble and Granite you will feel like a family member! They are welcoming and friendly and will help you find what you want. Tyler did most of the sales/​design/​customer interactions. He is a lovely young man!
After I selected my slab/​material, Tyler and Kosta helped me determine what kind of cut, edge, finish, and size would work best for my job. I came with a very detailed spec sheet and lots of photos, and since it was an island without any sinks or other cut outs they did not come out to measure which helped to expedite the process!
The price for fabrication (remember Kosta does not sell stone; he buys it for you from a slab yard, so the price for the same sized job can vary wildly depending on the material chosen) was competitive– «Good work ain’t cheap, and cheap work ain’t good.»
Kosta’s work is fantastic!
His installers were professional and really took great care to ensure the countertop was installed perfectly evenly on all sides.

I too have to agree with Gen L. I can only give Olympia 4 stars (maybe 4 ½) because we had the same experience with the demo team. We however did not have anything broken. They did leave a bit of a mess when they did the demo on our kitchen counters. That is our only complaint. The workers who were at our home were very courteous and worked very hard while they were here. I just wished they would have been more thorough in their clean up!
Now on to the positives:
Tyler, Tyler, Tyler!!! He is amazing! He was available when I had MANY questions! He answered ALL my emails and phone calls which were a lot :) I was looking for a particular color of granite for our kitchen counters and he wouldn’t stop looking until we found exactly what I was looking for. When it comes to customer service, Tyler is top notch! He kept me informed with the fabrication and all the big & little details that comes with getting new counter tops. I really can’t say enough about how pleased we were to work with Tyler. I do highly recommend Olympia, even though we were not too pleased with the demo clean up. The turn around was quick and our new kitchen counters look gorgeous!

I’m going to go ahead and start out by saying that Tyler, our fabricator, was amazing. If I could review just Tyler, he would easily get five stars. He was responsive, responsible, professional and courteous. He made me feel like I was the only client that he was dealing with, which was amazing.
Unfortunately I can’t review just Tyler.
Olympia is getting four stars due to their demo team, who were messy. They damaged my property, caused a dangerous gas leak in my house, and as a result cost me hundreds of dollars that I never should have had to spend.
On the day of demo, they also removed my backsplash. They failed to remove some tiles, left holes all over my walls, accidentally pulled out electrical outlets, and left the debris all over my kitchen. $ 200 additional fee from my tile guy to repair the walls.
When they removed my sink, they dropped the assembled faucet and garbage disposal into the base cabinet, disconnecting the lid from the disposal and emptying the contents into the cabinet. They couldn’t properly disconnect the line connected to the disposal, so they ripped it in order to get it out. $ 350 plumber fee to fix.
When they removed my gas cooktop, the only thing that I initially noticed were the gauges in my walls from where they knocked the metal edge into the drywall. It wasn’t until two weeks later when we had moved in, and ended up needed to have an emergency visit from the gas company due to a gas leak under the cooktop. The demo guys twisted the elbow connector which connected the line in the wall to the valve as they removed the hose, AND bent the connection to the cooktop itself. $ 385 plumber fee to rebuild the connection.
The stonework that Olympia did is incredible. My kitchen and fireplace look amazing. However, the nearly $ 1,000 that I’ve had to pay to fix their workers’ sloppy job that also happened to endanger the lives of my family members is hard to swallow.
If you use Olympia? Go to Tyler… but have your counters demoed by someone else.

. (They are suite #7). Olympia Marble & Granite is suite 5. Kosta from Olympia is very helpful & his customer service is amazing. Unfortunately I don’t believe they have a website. Give them a ring though.
