Los Tres Hermanos

This review is for last Saturday night, I’m complaining again about the same waitress who fucks up all the time. Finally got her name, Valeria. I am certain next time I will ask for someone else because every time she fucks up the order. Anyways, my brother order pollo con arroz and she brought him some weird looking bowl with shrimp and bunch of melted cheese on top. He told her that’s not what he ordered and she had the nerve to tell him that was pollo con arroz lol seriously, you could smell and see the big ass shrimp on it, she was so reluctant to admit she fucked up, never apologized, and after my brother insisted many times to get the right plate, she finally did. She always does the same thing, what kind of service is that? It’s making me now not go anymore for the lack of customer service of 1 waitress. Then to top it all off, after we asked for the check, we waited forever for her to come back with our change, it was so obvious she avoided us and wanted to keep it all and thought we would just get tired of waiting and leave but hell no! We were not gonna let her keep that tip she didn’t deserve! The food is great but this person is damaging this restaurant. I’m giving 3 stars only because of the food.

This is the second time I’ve been here. My best friend decided this place for her birthday since we had a good experience the first time. It was a bit busy while we were here, so some of the things lagged, which is understandable. When the food arrived, my plate was missing. Thinking it was just coming, I patiently waited. I started getting impatient, so I asked where my food was. My waiter, Cynthia, was unaware of my order (since my best friend ordered the same thing) and she didn’t take our order. It was another waiter who took our order and mistakenly only got one of the carne a la parrilla (which was awesome!). I asked to speak to the manager and she was really nice and accommodating. She was very understanding and I appreciate the effort she took to make me happy. Los tres hermanos really values their customers! I will definitely be returning here!

Great atmosphere, fresh salsa bar, great food… This is my first visit here, and I will definitely be back! I had the three item combo-​taco, enchilada, and chile relleno. All very good!!!
This place is in a strip center, and has parking in the back.

I ordered grilled fish filet plate like the pic I took. oh man oh man, great dish, wonderfully cooked and I truly enjoyed the food.

The food is okay. It does not meet my Mexican side of expectations. The service is okay. I think the service was really bad before but it has gotten better. If I do come, it’s only for some drinks.

I went to this place during the day on a weekday. Nice atmosphere, good customer service. The food is nothing spectacular. Ive had better food at stop n go places with better prices not complainong about these guys prices, just saying… Its like what evers. I might stop in for drinks.

I am not from the area and I Unilocaled this place looking for good Mexican food. I ended up getting a shrimp cocktail and my husband got the macho combo. AMAZING! Both plates! (I ate off my husbands also) the shrimp tasted fresh and the tomatoe juice as well. The taquitos, Chile reño, and enchiladas we crispy and delicious. I told him every time we are in the area we will come here when looking to eat. Really good. Would recommend to anyone near by.

My partner and I have been coming here since we moved to Van Nuys 6 months ago. Chile Verde is the best and Margaritas are kick ass. The service is always friendly and accommodating.

I GIVE THIS PLACE –1 STAR! (I had to give it one in order to post a comment but they deserved a 0) My mom and I were in the area and stopped by to eat. We ordered 2 pepita salads and waited over half an hour! Our food never came and none of the servers updated us that our salads were almost out or that they were backed up! I was extremely dissatisfied with their service and will no longer come to this place!

I used to think that the east SFV was lacking in authentic and delicious Mexican food… Until I learned about this place from friend. My favorite thing to order is the chile relleno with rice and beans. The chile relleno is fresh and is smothered in a delicious sauce. The rice is fluffy and tasty and the beans are thick and delicious. My husband loves their potato tacos. Their guacamole is flavorful. I have never eaten inside the restaurant so I am unable to provide feedback on the service. But, their take-​out process is quick and easy. If you’re in the area looking for high quality Mexican food, I definitely recommend checking this place out!

I wanted to try this place because of the mariachi and I also wanted to try their drinks… I did not like the food at all. I got breaded shrimp and they were the tiniest shrimps ever. And they had a really bad taste like if they were old. I wanted to try the drink with the ice pop, I asked for a passion fruit one but I really did not like it. I’m pretty sure she gave me a jalapeño flavor. I then order the mango drink and it took like 40 minutes for them to bring me my drink and they weren’t even that busy. Our waitress was not so friendly but everyone else provides good service.

So on cinco de mayo we ended up in a bind because every Mexican restaurant was packed. Go figure. We Unilocaled everything in the area and found this option and decided to check it out.
My food was made to order but my friends was not. They were not helpful or attentive at all.
If you’re ok with a hands off experience. It’s fine. Otherwise there are plenty of other options around town.

Oh boy, don’t even know where to begin.
My family (party of 20) came to the restaurant about 5 pm on Mothers Day. Not very packed at all so being seated quickly wasn’t an issue. We sat down and immediately received terrible service. We waited at least 15 minutes before our waitress, VALERIA came to greet us. She failed our order completely. Forgot multiple drinks our party had ordered and lied to me when I asked about where my drink was after all my family had already received there’s. She said «I have it coming right out» then comes back with no drink so I ask again and says oh we’re all out. ??? Okay then you ask what else I want to drink?
She didn’t put in my sister in laws order and we were all done eating before her food came out which is not okay in the least bit. We had to continuously have other servers call her over because she never came to check on us. She was also so blatantly disrespectful to our table and rolled her eyes and gave us attitude when she had no reason to. We hungry, paying customers asking for silver ware and refills. If that’s too much for her to handle she should maybe find a new field to work in.
I understand the restaurant business is not the easiest field to work in. I’ve been there done that. But I would never disrespect a table when I was the issue and I was making all the mistakes. So I have no remorse for her because her tip was included in the bill regardless so she didn’t care about giving us the service we deserved.
After much more attitude given and many more mistakes made, I finally went to the back to tell the GM about the terrible experience we just had. He apologized and was more than happy to give us a VERY generous discount and remove the 18% tip included because she was not deserving of it what so ever. Also she failed to take off my 10% for checking in on Unilocal and didn’t remove the plates we were not suppose to be charged for after we asked her to twice.
So after what seemed like a lifetime we were all checked out and walking out of the restaurant when we walk past the mangers door and hear VALERIA telling him «are u f****** kidding me? I worked my ass off» probably referring to the fact that he took the tip off and we did not tip her at all. I know that might not sit well with people (my family tips generously because we were all in the same position at one point.) But no server should ever disrespect their customers the way she disrespected us. None of us will ever come back to this location and if you do please avoid sitting in her section she is the worst waitress ever.

This tres hermanos looks great, much different than others. If you’re planning on drinking, they have a bar and they have a great selection of alcoholic beverages however service wasn’t good.
Once the lady asked us what we wanted, we ordered are drinks and food at once and the food came first, but the drinks took even longer. I’m talking about Jamaica. We were already halfway done with the food and the drinks still had not came so we had to ask a different lady for our drinks because our current waiter wasnt checking up on us. Eventually they brought the drinks but forgot one and said they’d bring it, and never brought it. They did not once check up on us, not even for the check! We had to go up ourselves. Really poor service, however a great spot if you want to see some mariachi live!

Another first time another success, wonderful atmosphere in every way possible.
The food is so good i’m addicted

food was great as expected but seriously this place is way too loud. like the mariachi is WAY TOO LOUD and the speakers are loud to the point where they are distorting the sound from how ridiculously loud it is. service and waitresses were pretty slow and unaware, but everything was greabutuntil the mariachi started playing. i literally had a guy blowing a trumpet in my ear to the point where i had to ask him if he could play somewhere else seeing as to how i was sitting in the table furthest away from where the band was supposed to be playing, then the drunk people at the restaurant became hostile.
id seriously give 4 or 5 stars if it wasn’t for the mariachi band

Ordered a steak burrito and was impressed by the flavor and how juicy the meat was. I was served chips and a bowl of beans that were yummy. There’s also a salsa bar and enjoyed them all.
They have a Super Burrito for some dollars more that is massive, and can be eaten as two meals. The meat wasn’t as juicy, probably so it could hold together better.
Parking isn’t an issue, and the inside was relatively clean and nicely decorated
Just moved to the area, and look forward to trying the other dishes.

We used to be regulars here; two years ago. It was a near bay place with good food and good prices. About a year ago prices started going up and quality and favor going down. The only reason we still go here is because of the aguachiles but last night we had a very uncomfortable time here because management can’t ask children to remain seated. Their were about 5 kids running a playing around the tables. Trowing balloons disturbing every costumer around.
Two stars only for the aguachiles.

Delicious food! I had to serve jury duty so when it was near lunch I did a quick Unilocal search and found this awesome place. It was right across the street from the court house where I could have just walked. So I spent more time going to the parking at the court house to get my car and spent $ 1 for metered parking. Or well, when I serve again next year I’ll remember.
I got the fish tacos combo plate ($ 7) and an iced tea. The tacos were delicious. The grilled fish was about 5“x4″ with lots of flavor and filling.
If I’m in the area again, I will definitely make it a point to go here and try their Shrimp Cocktail and Margarita.

Venimos a este restaurant por una recomendacion. Venimos un viernes para mi cumpleanos. Habia muy buen hambiente y la comida no estuvo mal. desafortunadamente pense que deje mis lentes ahi. llame dos veces y la segunda vez contesto una de las empleadas llamada Ana pienso que reconocio mi voz y me dejo esperando en la linea por 10 minutos. Como era viernes pense que me habia dejado en la linea sin querer. llame devuelta para enterarme que se habia ido a su break y me dejo en la linea. Que lastima acaban de perder un cliente. Se que para mucho de ustedes esto no cuenta pero para mi EL SERVICIO AL CLIENTE ES MUY IMPORTANTE!!!

Los Tres Hermanos is a pretty solid mexican spot. They also have a Unilocal deal, oh baby!
Service: All the servers were great! No one took priority of the table and they all stopped by to check in at different times. They recommended dishes and kept the table very clean
Décor: Pretty nice inside, especially for a mexican spot in vanuys. They have some nice exposed brick walls along with edison lights and clean booths.
Food:
Michilada: Super solid. It’s also huge «that’s what she said»
Fajitas: I’m not going to lie, the meat was above par; however this place literally has the best, the best!!! fajita veggies i’ve ever had in my life. I would literally got back and get a veggie fajita if that is even possible
Cocktail:
It was ok, nothing to great but i will say they pound that guy with some fish (shrimp, octopus, white fish)
Salsa Bar:
All pretty good salsas with a little spice. I enjoyed it
