Great salsa and hand made tortillas! Food very good in general. Terrible service, General manager and staff, not friendly at all. Very long waits to get your food.

We used to drive all the way to San Fernando from North Hollywood just to eat these amazing huaraches. Their food is so good it used to get so packed on the weekends but it was always worth it. Now that there’s one close by we’ve been coming here more often. The huaraches are stuffed with beans then fried which gives it a nice crispy outside and a soft inside then topped with green or red salsa, cheese and your choice of topping. Everything on their menu is delicious, my favorite are the chorizo or chipotle huaraches and the cheese quesadillas. My dad likes to get their menudo and my mom loves the asada huarache. Make sure to wash everything down with a refreshing horchata and you’ll be a happy camper. :) Service varies from great to bad but I’m just here for the food which deserves 5 stars, the only thing that sucks is that when a mistake is made they give you a hard time about it.

This is the second time I come here over the weekend for lunch. The first time I had a huarache de carne asada. Today, I had their menudo. Both times the food has been extremely delicious and well-made. I loved the freshly made tortillas. Everything is made to order and it does take about 20 to 30 minutes to get the food; well-worth the wait. The employees are very cordial, helpful, and work hard. Remember to leave them a tip

I was pleasantly surprised when I tried their food. I had the Asada plate combo and my sister tried the Milanesa Huarache. Both were delicious

Called in an order. 20 minutes later still not ready. Good food but they weren’t even busy and couldn’t have my order ready. Walked in and they made me repeat my order so I’m thinking they didn’t even start until I got there. Not impressed.

I must have come at a bad time because I walked out hoping I don’t get sick. Huarache was hard and chewy and the meat tasted funny. I don’t think I will to try this place again. The place looks clean and I’m sure does well but I can’t say anything about my plate was fresh or hot.

The huaraches are so good. Never have I tasted huaraches with such taste than these. The salsa is perfect. I like the Horchata they have as well. The price is right since the food is good.

Love love love this place. Their huaraches are the best around. It’s basically a bigger elongated sope with the beans cooked inside and on top cheese and your choice of topping. I recommend carne asada or egg with green sauce. Anyways this is what they are know for but everything on the menu is top notch. Especially their cheese quesadillas. Deep fried and amazing. Place is clean. Ambience is killed by Spanish channels. I hate Spanish TV but hey that’s just me.

I’m only giving them two stars for several reasons. First of all the food is delicious but customer service sucks the cashiers are rude. It’s not the first time I come here to eat so I never get my order wrong but yesterday went I place a order of chile verde and I had a big order to go. I get my order and check if I get everything and everything I order was correct I’m not sure if this person is the owner or not but he tells me that everything I order is on the bag I told him I was just checking incase he spoke to me in a very rude manner went I told him that I just wanted to verify my order of chile verde because he told me chile rojo so he goes chile rojo or chile whatever it was its on the bag. So I just left as soon as I get home and my family is about to eat my chile verde was chile rojo. So I guess as a customer I was right to check my order so pretty much I went back to pick up the correct order after calling and waste more gas. The cooks need to make sure that they know what they are doing along with the person packaging the to go orders. Overall if I didn’t had this issue maybe they would of had gotten 4or5 stars from me.

Fair prices but the garlic shrimp were a bit too salty for my taste. I’ve lived next door to this restaurant for 10+ years and have always loved eating here.

To take the time and write a review for me, would mean I have strong feelings about an establishment. Food is important to me, the quality of the ingredients and the flavoring the food has is what sets establishments and good food apart. This place is amazing. The food is authentic and has fresh wonderful ingredients. Hands down their Huaraches are the best! However, their quesadillas and enchiladas are delicious. Staff is so welcoming, accommodating and NICE! El Huarache is CLEAN and FRIENDLY with AMAZINGFOOD, what more can you want! My family favorite.

How can I express my love for this place? Hands down. the best. huaraches. e v e r. Don’t tell my mom. Honestly, everything is good. The huaraches are made from fresh handmade tortillas, which is awesome, but I think what I really love about this place is that it reminds me of my beloved Mexico. The coctel de camaron is spot on, not too spicy, but just right. The quesadillas are deeeeliicious which look like emapanadas instead of your regular boring flour tortilla. The camarones al mojo de ajo are SUPERB. They bring you this amazing salsa which is spicy but like I said, it’s amazing. Shall I go on? And of course all the huaraches are delicious! My favorite is between carne asada and pollo. Maybe this is just my preference, but I always ask if they fry the tortilla a little bit, because usually if they fry it a lot, it becomes so hard that you can’t possibly cut into it.(It’s just something to keep in mind) The parking lot is small, but it’s not that bad. And the only thing you should note is when your eating there, don’t sit next to the TV. If you do, get ready for a long hour of awkwardness because you feel like everyone is staring at you, when in reality they’re watching Univision on the flat screen. Nuff said. Having said all this, go try it for yourself, I’m positive you won’t be disappointed.

My husband is from Mexico City and we go every year on vacation. Our favorite thing to do is to go for desayuno.(breakfast) I have updated this review because the place reeeeaaallly needs some updating in décor. The seats in the booths are ripped up and covered with tape, and in general it is just yukky inside. If they did a remodel and got rid of the TV’s, it would make for such a better experience. The food is great, service is friendly. I had a huarache with cheese. It was so fresh and tasty. My husband had eggs with salsa verde, fantastic! The tortillas are fantastic, homemade. they were amazing. I also love the coffee. If you want an inexpensive, authentic Mexican breakfast, this is a great place. it is also next to my favorite panaderia. Panaderia Mexico, so I like to go in there after to buy some tamales to take home.
