There’s no wifi. The staff are disengaged and not that interested in attracting new business. There’s a 12 month commitment, a monthly rate(which is low) and a new member signing fee. You have to pay extra to use facilities other than the one you sign up for. Bring your own towel, they do not provide them. The locker room is clean. Gym is one large open room with a wide variety of equipment. There’s plenty of parking nearby. In relative terms, they’re cheap. You don’t pay much and you don’t get much. The clientele mostly appear to be very well built young men, the kind that look like professional weight lifter wannabes.

They have to do something about the Men’s locker room. Having 3 lockers stacked, with a couple of benches, slush water on the floor, who knows what growing on the shower floor and the worst yet… when some muscle head takes a big dump because his steroids are kicking in, the entire locker room is unbearable. Knock out a wall next door, take over the chinese buffet and put in a real locker room. I keep reminding myself«it’s only 19 bucks»…And dont let the weight lifters move the incline benches away from the barbells; instill some rules and follow them. And tell the trainers not to let their chubby clients run wind sprints down the walkways of the machines! And fix the treadmills after being broken for 4 months! Why are 6⁄15 treadmills still broken! And why cant VU get their own fitness center if their students pay 20G per semester? There, I have vented enough. Most of the staff are cuties however and nice.

Started working out here as part of the NY resolutions. It’s functional. Good for folks like me getting back into it. Lots of cardio machines. Music is terrible pop geared towards teens/young adults. TVs in the front where the cardio is and in back by the free weights. 2 brands of exercise specific resistance machines. I’ve occasionally seen the staff fairly active with cleaning. The members do a good job with wiping down the machines after use. It’s $ 10/mo. Hard to be too critical for the price.

This facility is completely dirty and unprofessional. After attempting to cancel my membership after moving out of state for 3 months, I finally left my number for a manager. I had to call back cause the manager was never given my information. When I spoke with the manager, Jim, he proceeded to question whether I had ever called to cancel my membership because I couldn’t recall names of who I spoke to. Then he said that if I would have called, he is confident in his«training» of his people to inform people a handwritten notice is needed– which I was never told. So after 3 months of useless conversations and an unprofessional general manager, I am left with a ton of money in charges. Been in the retail and customer service business– and this was one of the worst experiences. Do not join!
