A-Midwest Sewer Cleaning & Septic Tank Pumping

This guy just left out house and was a royal a*hole. First of all, I made the appointment to have our septic pumped because we had moved and wanted everything straight for the new owners. 2 days after I made it, the secretary called me and said all her appointments were lost in the computer and she had to track everyone down and ask them if they had appointment and if so, when. So I set that straight no problem. Anyway, she had set forward the price telling me that it would go up incrementally if the tank was bigger than the base price. I understood and agreed. Well, when he got here, the first thing he did was ask my husband how long it had been since the last time we had it pumped. My husband said about 3 years and he gruffly said «You gotta do better than that». I’m not offended by general rudeness but I think it’s just not smart for customer service. When he was done my husband went to pay him with a debit card he stated only cash or check. When my hubby came back in I told him the secretary hadn’t mentioned that and he’d have to bill us… we’d already moved the majority of our papers and other things out and had only come back for the appointment. My husband told him so and he said no dice and my husband said he would have to go to the bank. This clown said he’d wait. What?! By the time my husband came back in, my daughter had dug thru a pile and found a single check in a book which has earlier been started and voided… quickly erased it best we could and wrote it out. On top of all of it, he tried to chew my husband out for waiting so long to pump it out. Guess we get the last word. This guy’s name is Tom and claimed to be the owner. I have no beef with the job he did… I’m sure it was fine. I’m also sure there is someone else to do this job who won’t be a condescending prick. Just make sure you get everything straight before you hire this joker.
