Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Excellent service; we needed additional mileage and our Service Rep was very helpful. This is our second time using Enterprise and we don’t have any issues using them again. Staff was professional and friendly.

This place drained my positive enegy as soon as I entered. The staff is unfriendly and not really interested in helping customers out, let alone even being there!
There’s another Enterprise in Floral Park that averages $ 40 cheaper per vehicle! Also, the staff is actually friendly, compared to this place.
Definitely not a place to rent a car!

The service there was nice and friendly and I was put into a car in a reasonable amount of time. However, despite the representative stating that they would clean the car before I drove it, it was nothing more than taking a hose and drying with a dirty rag. The windows and interior were very dirty and I wound up wiping down the interior and cleaning the windows so I could see clearly when I was driving.

I’ve rented from many enterprise over the years, normally I always have an amazing experience from start to finish. Sadly, this wasn’t the case at the valley stream enterprise. Booked a rental online, and showed up at 8:15 to pick up the car. Turns out they had overbooked and didn’t have any cars.
After they called around to find a car, I signed all the paperwork and was told that they would take me to the car which was in the queens enterprise location. At this point I was late for work, but put on a smile and enjoyed the ride with Michael who couldn’t have been nicer.
When I was given the car, we did the look over and found no damage. When I started driving the car is when it was horrible. The car reeked of Marijuana. Reeked to the point that I had to drive with the windows.
When I dropped off the car, I explained the situation to the manager. She rolled her eyes, but when I gave the keys to her and she checked the inside of the car, she gave her sincerest apology and said the car would definitely need to be detailed. She offered me a free day or upgrade next time I rented from them. I will never rent from this location again because of that car.

Lost an Item here over the Halloween Weekend. Called in to see if they found it and Manager «trainee» Michael was very RUDE and uncaring and a complete JERK. Will never come here again.

I appreciate Enterprise management follow up regarding my experience at the Valley Stream location. Mr. Knapp assured me that the issue would be addressed locally.

This is my first experience with Enterprise and this location. I’ve only dealt with Hertz prior to this.
The Valley Stream Enterprise location has set a new standard for my rental expectations. The service from beginning to end was excellent. The service people I dealt with (Mattie & Wayne) went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with everything.
Long story short, I ended up having a billing issue when I returned the car and I went back in to address it. They remedied the issue promptly and continued their excellent service. Whatever is going on at this location should be duplicated everywhere. It is appreciated greatly.

Looking for a car to rent, Enterprise is the place to go, fast, efficient and courteous customer service at its best!

The service was EXCELLENT! Everyone was very helpful and kind. They made sure all my questions were answered. I would definitely return for my next rental.

Words cannot explain how nice everyone at this location is. They were so accommodating to me and my situation. I live outside they’re pick-​up area so the Branch Manager tried to call a location closer to me but they didn’t have the type of vehicle I needed at the same price. So this location came to pick me up and when I got there I realized that my child’s car seat couldn’t go in the Cargo Van I rented. So the team got my rental situated, took me and my son home in a car, and brought my cargo van to my house. This is excellent service and I’m more than grateful.
I’m a very happy customer and have pledged my future business there.

Except for Wayne, the others are major jerks who do not represent The Enterprize Brand. They obviously dislike their job so they need to take out their frustration on customers, retraining should be in their near future or career change.

I am a platinum member and have been going to this location for over 8 months now and renting weekly on a consistent basis. The ONLY reason for me to be picking this location over an airport location is Mr Wayne Wallace. Who has over the course of months proved it over and over again that He holds ENTERPRISE core values of putting CUSTOMER FIRST. He has occasionally gone an extra mile to prove it that he values my business and my PLATINUM status. I really would like to see him grow up in the ranks and make sure that his senior management acknowledges his EXCELLENT work ethics and most importantly his PROFESSIONALISM at work and superb customer service.

I picked up the car through insurance (Geico has Enterprise as their preferred vendor for rental reimbursement). I gave the claim number and manager assured me that it would all be taken care of. Eventually it was but only because I had to constantly double check every single step of the process.
1. Carefully check your rental car before approving. While the Toyota we were first given on the surface seemed OK there were issues. That was because the brick wall next to the car and it’s shadow hid damage we would later find. I did note that the check engine light was on but was informed that the car had just been serviced and that they had forgotten to reset this but that it was OK.
In actuality the car showed signs of a crash and it’s interior was filthy. I didn’t pick up on any of the damage to the car but my wife did (although I should have seen the broken antenna up on top of the roof as a warning sign) when she put it in reverse in our driveway she heard grinding sounds and refused to drive it to work which was the reason we had rented in the first place. Enterprise of Valley stream fixed it (initially said that I would have to drive the car back and sign another car out, which was problematic as by the time I called them I was at work in NYC which would have meant another trip back and a lost day of work. Then they called back and said that they would replace it for us and leave the keys with my parents who were home watching the kids. They left us a Santa Fe that was useable. So everything got resolved but it never should have happened in the first place and this whole process killed a day.
2. Not enough trained staff. The rental confusion would have been avoided if their staff had properly known their own policies and procedures. This would have probably avoided the bad rental in the first place if they had taken time to look at the car themselves.
The rental agreement was supposed to be direct billed to Geico, and eventually this was all resolved but not according to this Enterprise. Multiple phone calls were required, especially after we received messages from the francaise that Geico would not cover the rental when our policy clearly stated that it would. Geico had the information on file, but no one at this location seemed to know how to access it and referred us back to the insurer. This was resolved but again it required way too many phone calls, all of which took too much time out of my day (s).
Again everything was eventually fixed which is why i gave them one star. the effort to fix is why I cannot rate higher.

Wayne, Carlene, Natasha, and Michael were great. From our initial phone calls inquiring about rates to Wayne’s affable, warm manner upon our arrival and return of the car after two weeks, I have never felt so comfortable and at ease renting from a rental company. Unless you simply must rent from Manhattan or one of the other boroughs, it is worth the trip out to Long Island. They’ll take good care of you.
