I moved around here about 2 years ago and this is conveniently located near me. Hands down, Shakila does the best haircuts and coloring. That woman really knows what she is doing. I’ve also gotten my eyebrows done here a couple of times and I would have to agree that it is a hit or miss. It hasn’t bothered me too much, because you really should guide them in the amount you want taken off and which area of their eyebrows they should touch.
This review however, is for the haircut I got today because this place is more a hair salon rather than somewhere you should deem as just an eyebrow threading place. I would definitely have to say it deserves a ⁵⁄₅.

This place is amazing! It was the first time I went here, and I don’t trust just anyone with my eyebrows. My friend recommends I see the owner and so I did. I ended up getting a full face done. The makeup here is awesome too. You can’t beat the prices here.

Do not come here if you want your hair color to turn out as you had asked and if you want to deal with honest people who will keep their word. The first time I came here, they dyed my hair darker than I had asked so my hair looked like a patchwork. The lady who dyed my hair tried to tell me that it looked fine but since I was still unhappy she said that when it is time for me to have my hair colored again she would fix my color and do it for the same price (she gave me a $ 10 coupon too) I came back. The second time around, the color was better though still not even due to the previous color (which she at least warned me so I expected that) but ended up charging me DOUBLE because she did the full color AND she blow dried my hair! I obviously came back so she can fix what she messed up. Some places would have done the fix for free. I agreed to pay the same amount. But to charge me double and telling me about the price change after everything was done and I was checking out! Talk about being sneaky! She seems like a nice Indian lady but clearly is not trustworthy!

I get my eyebrows done here mostly because it’s convenient in location. They’re usually pretty quick but It’s definitely a hit or miss. Only one or two of the ladies actually do a job I am truly satisfied with. It seems as if they don’t know how to shape an eyebrow properly. A nicely shaped eyebrow makes a big difference. A clean brow is better than nothing, but that’s not my main concern. The problem is, when I ask to fix it or do something else (to get the shape I’m looking for) I get the same response «I think it looks nice» I’ve had different ladies tell me the same thing… Which leaves me kind of frustrated. I’ve had my eyebrows done routinely for years and have never encountered that!
They do a very good bikini wax, and would definitely recommend going there for that!

Megha used to work there and did my eyebrows great! They look so much fuller thanks to her. Unfortunately she is no longer there. I do let the young lady at the front desk do my eyebrows and she does them pretty decently. If anyone knows where Megha went or has her number please comment on here! Thanks :)

Last time I was there for my eyebrows the lady left me bleeding (from threading). I thought I’d give someone else at the salon a try since it’s close in the area. Went back 2 weeks in a row. Supposedly they open at 10 but there’s no one there except the hair stylists.
I won’t be going back.

The owner is SO unprofessional. She spilled wax into my shirt and on my neck and just ripped it off, did a TERRIBLE job and on top of that they’re overpriced. She kept trying to convince me to get my arms done. UM, NO. She did a terrible job waxing and she was SO rude to me. NEVER going there again.

This used to be my favorite place to get my eyebrows done. I came for Baby who hasn’t been in for a while; she was the best. I found her again!!! She’s at another salon called Instyle near Staples off of Sunrise Hwy. She is still in Valley Stream, super sweet, and still does the best eyebrows!

This place is hit or miss with eyebrow threading. I have gone there 3 times, twice was great once a hot mess. I think the language barrier may have something to do with it.
I do not like thin eyebrows and was done to me. This place is good for touch ups but be very clear about what you want and need.
