Anthonys Deli/Sandwich Shop is everything you want in an Italian-American deli. Fresh sliced meats, cheeses, great specialty sandwiches, FRESHLY fried chicken cutlets that are CRISPY, not something sitting around a few days and tossed in the microwave, and great people working there. TCS(chicken cutlet with gravy and mozz) BCS(chicken cutlet with spicy blue cheese and mozz) Fatboy(Roast beef, fried onions, mozz, gravy on garlic bread) Chicken Madness(chicken cutlet, bacon, mozz, fried onions, gravy on garlic bread) are all fantastic. HUGE sandwiches for under 8 bucks. Cold cuts by the pound are also cheaper than the supermarket deli counter. Must have for anybody in the Five Towns/Valley Stream area.

When it’s comes to getting breakfast or lunch in Valley Stream there is no better deal than Anthony’s Deli. They load meat on the heros unlike every other deli in Valley Stream where you are getting a ¼ lb of meat. Just to compare, other Delis charge $ 8.50 for a turkey hero with a ¼lb of meat, while Anthony’s gives much more(I don’t know the exact weight, they don’t weigh it) and the hero is $ 7.00. Anthony’s is not a fancy gourmet Deli, you won’t find dried meats hanging or sautéed broccoli rabe and fresh mozzarella in the display case. What you will find is Yankees posters all over the walls. The Homeboy is way better than the Bindy sandwich down the road, be sure to get one! This is a legit neighborhood spot with solid food, and reasonable prices.

Still coming to Anthony’s all these years later. I’ve been a customer for just about 10 years. I’ve probably tried every sandwich they have to offer and some of their sides like the couch potatos. If you can appreciate good food, you won’t care that the place needs a makeover. My favorite sandwiches are the bada-bing, the BCS, chicken madness and their signature sandwich, the Homeboy, which is 100x better than the crappy bindy a few lights down. They have plenty of chips to go with your sandwich. and the drink selection is endless, always stocked with arizona tall boys. Anthony and Vito are stand-up guys and their high school cashiers aren’t bad either. I seriously love this place and i’m a loyal customer for life.

This is a great hole-in-the-wall neighborhood deli. I’ve had and highly recommend both the buffalo chicken sandwich(chicken cutlet, blue cheese, dressing, mozzarella) and the«chicken madness»(chicken cutlet, bacon, fried onions, gravy, american cheese). The guys that work there are friendly and the portions are very generous. The first time I went, I was going to get the buffalo chicken sandwich and chicken madness on rolls for $ 5.25 and $ 6.25. The guy helping me said«just get it on a hero, it’s only a dollar more and you get twice as much meat» — that was nice of him, I always get the heros when I go there now. Both sandwiches were really good but a bit greasy. Although the ingredients taste fresh and the sandwich itself is made nicely and doesn’t fall apart. I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 because it’s pretty much all take out and nothing really different or special about it. They do have some seating but its not very inviting. It’s not the kind of place that I would just walk into without already knowing it’s good. But honestly, who really cares about the décor, it’s a deli — you can get some good sandwiches here.

Hands down the best deli in valley stream. It’s an Italian deli and you get that feel when talking to Anthony and his brother. I’ve been coming here pretty regularly for at least 7 or 8 years. The homeboy is on point and everything else is amazing to. It is not very clean but they always have someone mopping at least and it is cheaper thn most delis in the area. It is a great time to get some good food pretty quick because I’ve never waited on a ridiculous linenlike inhave had at some other delis in town. The bread is sometimes hard but it’s always good and sometimes they hook you up, once they didn’t have a hero so they gave me 2 rolls of the sandwich for the same price. 5⁄5 if you’re looking for a real Italian deli come here, they’ll give you an honest price unlike brancards on rockaway and their food will be top notch.

I’m a fan of the sandwiches. No doubt. They’re great. But I was extremely disappointed by their potato salad which was FULL of red onions. Not just slivers but gigantic chunks. It was more like red onion salad with a touch of potatoes. The huge wedges were more than half of the container. Disappointing, especially since I get sick from raw onions.

Some of the best sandwiches on Long Island, hands down. Great chicken cutlets! Not super thin like many other sandwich spots these days. Great service, a true new york deli and sandwich shop. OH and the potato salad? With chopped red onions?! Fuhgetaboudit. Don’t change a THING.

OMG! This place was truly incredible. Last day in NY, decided to take a drive out to the ocean. Got hungry along the way, punched in Sandwich on the handy dandy Unilocal app, and this place popped up. Absolutely one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Had the goodfella, and it exploded with flavor. Very friendly service behind the counter, a true Deli experience. Yes, I am an out of town person, but this was easily my best Sandwich I had during my trip!

Consistently good deli sandwiches/heros. The store could use a little refreshing, the walls and floors look as if they want to retire. But the staff is friendly and the service is fast. There are a few seats inside, but most of his business is carry out. I wouldn’t make it a destination, but if you’re in the area, it’s certainly worth a try. Note: the«TCS» totally kicks a$$!

I’ve been going to this deli on and off since I was 15 and have gotten the chicken madness hero as long as I can remember. The hero is fantastic– Lightly breaded(and fried?) chicken cutlet, bacon, caramelized onions, melted american cheese, and gravy, on a garlic bread hero. You will cry tears of joy… After you recover in the hospital from your heart attack. It’s all about moderation!

Nice local deli. The décor is not to my liking though. They have a lot of wrestling memorabilia hanging up that is all faded and sun damaged which makes the place look dirtier/older than it is. Who goes to a deli though for the décor? No one, that’s who! As for the food, my favorites would be the fries and the buffalo chicken sandwich. They have a good breakfast deal where you can get a breakfast sandwich and coffee on the cheap. The bacon on the breakfast sandwich is amazing, it is so crisp and savory. This place is apparently known for having good deals on cold cuts as well.

It’s a good deli where you can get great hot sandwiches. The prices are reasonable and the portions are decent, if not generous. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is a great size, my bf and I often share it. It’s very tasty with a nice spicy buffalo sauce. The Seasoned Fries are good and flavorful but I like the seasoned fries from S&S Eatery better. This is a great place to pick up a reasonably priced hot meal. Not really a place for dine in(go for S&S Eatery to dine in and eat Deli-esque Americana food), but it is a great place to take out something.

Quality local deli. They make a nice sized sandwich at a good price. Staff always seems to be in a good mood and they are always busy.

This is what a NY deli is. Great hot and cold sandwichs including cold cuts, grilled and fried chicken, real bacon, and boneless ribs. They also have burgers and fries. Standard is the homeboy, I prefer the badabing. Just wish they had longer hours.

Anthony’s is my go-to deli. Any lunch or cold cut sandwich they serve is loaded, and I feel you definitely get your moneys worth. I like the Heavy D(hot roast beef, sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato on toasted garlic bread). Coffee is always fresh too.

Easily the best sandwiches in the area. Try the homeboy(chicken cutlets, bacon, russian dressing, american cheese), it is the best food in town! You will not walk out unhappy.
