The website is shutdown. A quick call to the office finds a recording which indicates they will be closed until further notice. this is a shame as the neighborhood could use a top notch comedy club. national acts came through this location and a good time was always expected.

The acts were funny which is the point of a night a comedy club I guess so based on that I feel obligated to give at least 3 stars. That’s where the positives end however. The drinks… they were so unbelievably weak there was literally no point in ordering them. 2 drink minimum is fine, but don’t cheat me in the alcohol! ! It should be illegal to sell a drink with that little(if any) booze in it! I tasted a slight bit of alcohol in my 1st drink, but the second I didn’t even detect a hint of booze. Just order a soda and save a few bucks and drink elsewhere, they seem to just want to cheat customers on light pours with no intent of selling more than the 2 drink minimum. Just pathetic, a terrible way to conduct business and they should be ashamed of themselves for this practice. The comedy was funny though, just avoid the 2 drink min if posable or order the cheapest thing they’ve got because mixed drinks are a joke at this place

This place is garbage. We had a group of 15 and were told by the«Manager» that people around us were complaining that we were being«disruptive» only to find out later that it wasn’t even us. Needless to say I asked for our checks and we promptly left. The staff is very disorganized. The person who answers the phone and takes your ticket at the door is a slob and needs to open his mouth when he speaks. The building is out-dated and looks terrible. This place won’t stay open another 2 years at this rate. Don’t waste your time here.

Went to the Funny Bone Thursday night to see Dan O’Sullivan. The best thing he said was that as a child he aspired to own a bird shop in valley park. However, I was disappointed to find out that he’s doing the same jokes that appear on YouTube from two years ago. The service was attentive at best. I had bought a groupon & it almost wasn’t worth the trouble. Apparently if you buy a drink at the bar is doesn’t count as one of your two drink minimum. The building is outdated & they prefer to sit you in a straight row right next to other people which makes is appear less crowded. I asked to be moved because I didn’t come to look through other people to see the stage. If I’m back I’ll be sure to come on a weekend.

Really enjoyed! I won a free pass for two to see a show and choose to go on a Sunday evening. I was skeptical at first because the place was completely empty initally but eventually a few tables filled up. The smaller crowd was actually nice because the comedians really interacted with the audience. Service was great! The waitress came over often but did a great job not interrupting the show. The mc was funny and we laughed the entire time throughout the two comedians we saw. My boyfriend and I would definitely go back and it’s good to know you can avoid big crowds if you pick the right night.

Hott mess express. A lot of people came out for Pauly Shore. There was a long line out the door, only because there was no room on the inside where the bar is, and they hadn’t opened the main room yet. But everyone in line had already bought tickets, and it wasn’t clear what the«line» was for. So everyone started butting to the front, and squeezing there way inside, where there was NO room. Everyone was gnarly with each other, being rude, only because there was literally NO staff to help explain what was going on. People were just pushing, lying, and being rude just to get to «the front.» There 100% should’ve been staff to help the and manage the crowd. I do like that they take you to your seats– so you don’t have to worry about people saving tables or anything. But the atmosphere was tense before the show started. Service is slow, and drinks are expensive. This is the second time I’ve gone to this place, and the beginning set up was just as frustrating the first time, when it was a no name comedian.

Went here for a friend’s birthday last Saturday. We waited awhile for our first round of drinks. I think they were understaffed. After our first round I ordered a lemon drop martini. It was absolutely terrible, I don’t think they made it correctly. When the acts came on the host and headliner were great! However the second comedian that came on he was mediocre at best. Not sure I’ll be back.

The acts were great for a small venue that is off the beaten path. The space is very small and the stage wall backs to train tracks for a train that runs on the hour. Our act was interrupted during a train passing that shook this place. Overall it was a fun evening until we got our bill. They have a 2 drink minimum which is fine except they charge a mandatory 20% tip, write the total largely in permanent marker over your charges. Then they proceed to hand you the receipt to sign with a tip line. This double tip that most people paid without reading there bills seems very sneaky. For $ 38 for 4 drinks didn’t seem worth the investment. Oh ya — ask for water and be prepared to pay $ 2.50 for a glass with ice and a 12 oz bottle of water! Come for the entertainment, skip the drinks if you can get away with it.

First time at the Valley Park location was not exactly spectacular. First I’d like to say that the performances here were great! But the performers were not the issue. When you walk in there is a small bar with very few tables & chairs. Here you can also purchase tickets. Then you go a few feet down & wait to be seated. All fine & dandy until the place gets packed like sardines & you can not enter the showroom so you just stand there getting smoothed. There was little direction. All in all the performers were fantastic, the set up & space of the building is a different story.

Positives, I felt I had a little bit more room than at the other club in Westport. Negatives– Not enough wait staff I go to the Funny Bone every New Years Eve and have for many, many years now. I went to this location because the comedian playing at the Westport location I had seen twice before. So the opening guy comes out and I won’t say his name but he needs new material. I have seen him 3 times now and all 3 times, the exact same jokes were told. I knew everything he was gonna say. Then a few minutes with a local kid, I forget his name but he was pretty funny. And now the headliner– Ryan Stout. I had gone on his website before I bought the tickets at the Funny Bone because I didn’t have a clue who he was. During his show he told quite a few of the same jokes as on his website. But he is just not funny at all. He spends the majority of the time yelling at the audience about why he’s funny. Sorry, but he is not. This was my only visit to this particular Funny Bone since its new. They have a bit of work to do still. A few finishing items not done like plates left off of light switches. Its a non smoking place but still smells a bit like smoke. I really just wish they could get better talent and people who have not been here before. And if your opening guy is using the same material year after year, can’t something be said?
