Rob Joyce is so knowledgeable and kind. I always love going to get my eyes checked and having both him and his team help me with glasses/​contacts/​eye exams. If you are looking for a personable staff and eye doctor that actually cares about you and your eyes… look no further. This office is top notch. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love coming to VCO! Everyone is so personable and everyone is always smiling! I have gotten my eyeglasses here and anytime I need an adjustment they are always ready to help. This is also where I buy my Maui Jim’s! Love VCO!

The staff at VCO are very warm and welcoming! I especially loved the modern-​rustic feel! Dr. Joyce was very sincere; he asked questions to understand my situation (had a pinguecula) as I was contemplating surgery. He made me feel better by letting me know that it was not an uncommon condition and has had several patients with them and how they responded to the treatment. He was very honest and gave me the pros and cons. He definitely helped me keep it real regarding what to expect afterwards.
All that after I originally came in for a routine checkup and an update for my glasses!
Simply put: you’re treated like family at Valley Center Optometry.

Let me start with 5 years ago I has Lasik surgery, and for the last 6 months Iv noticed my vision is a little blurry, So I checked Costco and Wal-​mart if they accepted my insurance, No they did not. On a hunch I called the only Optometrist in the town I live, and what do you no, not only do they take my insurance they can see me in an hour. Sweet, within one apt. I have glasses picked out and my 10 year old has an apt. in a week. Super friendly Dr. and staff that really listen to their clients.

Just moved here from out of town so just looked around google and decided to go here. What a great experience! Beginning with Dawn at the front desk understanding when I called to say Id be late due to traffic… to Dr Joyce – Very thorough and pleasant to work with-​Relaxed and very professional atomosphere. Good selection of nice frames and easy billing at very reasonable prices. Will be returning for sure whenever I need eye care…

So yay-​it might be way inappropriate to be posting this-​but Dr. Joyce is way Hot!
Not bad getting in a little EyeCandy while I get my eyes checked :)
Of course as I am driving into valley center I loose one of my contacts (of my last pair-​last eye exam was about a year ago) I quickly pull over the side road-​look up optometrist in Valley Center and this place came up-​I called, explained my dilema-​they got me in right away.
The staff was incredibly helpful-​Joseph is incredibly knowledgeable and professional and helped me pick out a pair of Hot Coach Sunglasses that compliment my face. These are the first pair of sunglasses that I actually love. I’ve always been the one to spend $ 20 on sunglasses-​because A. I don’t ever think I look good in sunglasses B. I always loose them. C. Or I break them…
Joseph I promise I won’t leave them at the beach, restaurant, bar, or sit on them!
Dr. Eye Candy… I mean Dr. Joyce was incredibly personable and professional
I also loved the ambiance of their office-​I have to say I was quite Surprised at how cool the décor/​ambiance of the office was.
I will never ever again go to Costco to get my eye exams-​I totally loved how you can tell the Staff here genuinely care about their patients and that you’re not just another Dollar Sign to them.
