Went for a ride on my motorcycle to this casino. Came to get a bite to eat for lunch. I was sat down quickly. There wasn’t much to choose from. The menu is 1 page. So i got a burger well done and fries. the fries came cold and the burger was medium well and greasy as hell. Seems like the fries where cooked earlier. The waiter never came back around to check on me for about 20 minutes. I was very disappointed seeing how i just spent $ 20 for a burger and fries plus tip that was not better than Denny’s.

Been here twice. Service has been great both times. No complimentary pastries for breakfast, or rolls for dinner(I guess I’m comparing them to BLD’s at Valley View Casino… mmmm). Had the BLAT both times, no complaints, I like it. Generous amount of bacon. The mister ordered the New York steak and eggs. He was so disappointed. He wasn’t expecting the greatest, since we were at a café and not a steakhouse, but he honestly thinks that they fried without any seasoning whatsoever. He just kept adding s&p…trying to get some flavor. So stay away from that.

Came here with my parents on Thanksgiving. It’s located inside of the Harrah’s casino and is reminiscent of a Denny’s or iHop. In fact, they have a very similar customer service flow. You take your check, walk up to the front counter and pay with the host when you’re finished with your meal. That’s how iHop operates. The Café features booth seating and overall very casual layout. It’s a good spot to relax if you’re not wanting anything too fancy. The food was decent and it comes out like how you want it. I ordered a medium rare steak and it was a hefty guy that I wasn’t able to finish. Great taste and aroma though.

Our server was great. We waited for about an hour before they finally brought what we ordered. In the meantime, bout very nice server was super apologetic for the time we waited(over an hour) to get our breakfast. He did bring us a couple of complimentary muffins because of the inconvenience. Me: California omlette. Feta, spinach, tomatoes, avocado. Exactly what I ordered and expected. Beware if you order subs or extras it automatically becomes a build your own. He: make your own bacon onion and cheddar omlette. Exactly what he expected when it finally got there. No matter what it was not the servers(Omar) fault that the kitchen was backed up. He empathized and brought us the tasty muffins! Banana nut was a fabulous favorite… My interest is piqued enough to give it a try again, was not turned off enough to stay away.

This restaurant does not serve vegetarian party burgers, was quite disappointed. I would recommend the management to consider adding vegetarian burger choices, this is California Acer all!

I’m not a gambler because I’d rather spend money and get something in return. However, I won a contest and was able to snag a hotel room here for the night. My fiancé and I arrived at around 8:30pm and we were starving! We decided on The Café because we wanted diner food. Fortunes(Asian food) is next door and the prices are comparable with each other. Our server was super friendly and gave us amazing customer service! I wish I remembered her name! The food was delish and came in very large portions. We got 2 sodas, an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert for about $ 45(tip not included). This is pretty decent considering the buffet is $ 35 a person. I really liked my Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich and my fiancé really enjoyed his breakfast entrée(I forgot what he ordered exactly). Both entrees were huge! We decided to end our evening with the banana split and was surprised to how big it was. For $ 5.99, the banana split can feed up to 4 – 6 people! It was so big, we had over half left over when we tried to stuff as much as we could in our mouths. That most definitely was the highlight of our meal! Overall, we would definitely come back if we are in the hotel. The Café floors weren’t very clean but we had a good time with our server and we enjoyed the portions of the food.

Headed up to Harrah’s last weekend to hang with some friends from out of town. I’m not much for gambling, but I’m ALL for breakfast. I’ve been to The Café before a couple of times(club sandwich and a waffle respectively were ordered in the past couple times I’ve eaten there) After a late night at the tables we headed to the café a little before 10AM Memorial weekend Saturday and were seated pretty promptly(Table for 7). One of our group was a Diamond Club Member so he got a special line but it wouldn’t have been much a wait without. The menu features basic breakfast/lunch/dinner faire and during other visits as always been A-ok but not remarkable. Our server this time around was very nice as is the norm at Harrah’s(Great staff!) Waters and coffees were brought and we placed our order fairly fast Then we waited and waited. It took a long time for our food to start to arrive(about 40 minutes) and when it did begin to come out of the kitchen, it was sporadic.(They were not super busy– during most of my meal they had no line at the door.) A few friends got their dishes… then we waited almost another ten minutes for the rest of us to be served. We begged them to start eating — they were waiting to start out of politeness — but after they saw the next couple trays coming out of the kitchen were not for they rest of us but rather other tables being served — they gave in. I ordered eggs over medium, toast, bacon and hash-browns. When it did show up at the table my eggs were cooked perfectly, but the toast came cold. The hash-browns were tasty, but my bacon was served in two odd little stacks on my plate that consisted of short half strips/broken pieces of meat that crumbled immediately when touched. I would have asked for new toast and bacon but it had been an hour and I was staving. I’m sure I’ll eat there again if I’m on the property and maybe there’s another star hidden is a full strip of bacon somewhere. Pros: Convenient, reasonably priced, friendly servers.

Came here for a late dinner and had the capellini pesto and it was delicious. The portions were medium size, but just right. We were seated quickly and the server was attentive. For three people and 3 drinks it was about $ 50, so not bad for quality meal out of a «café» Want to try their breakfast next.

Don’t order a salad from here. Mixed greens on my Chinese chicken salad means iceberg lettuce. Wings were cold. Go with the burger and fries if you have to eat here. We ended up here because the oyster bar was closed.

Open 24⁄7 they offer up a great range of food and drinks! I recommend their steak and eggs. Whenever the buffet is full this is a great option for a quick meal!

Came here for brunch with a group of friends when we were staying the weekend at Harrahs. Only half of us ate and our waitress still served us with excellent customer service. I ordered the steak and eggs – medium rare, sunnyside up with wheat bread. This was about $ 14. The steak was a much bigger portion than I had imagined! I have gotten steak and eggs at a lot of different places and this place probably served the biggest portion wise. The steak was a little too rare for me… it would’ve been okay if they cooked it a little longer but it was still good. Nothing to say about the eggs and toast — how could you ever screw that up! haha but for the potatoes… well, let me start by saying I LOVEPOTATOES.(You would know this if you’ve read my other reviews where I’ve mentioned this before) I love potatoes. diced, hash, mashed, baked, french fries. you name it! But the way they served their potatoes here was a bit disappointing in my opinion. First of all, they looked like thick potato chips but mushy instead. They were stuck together and they tasted really bland. I had to use tobasco, pepper and ketchup to add flavor to them. I like when places serve potatoes that are seasoned, especially if they come out in any other form but hash browns. But anyways, overall, the meal was decent. I’ve had their quesadilla here before too and I really liked that! It’s an appetizer but it can easily be eaten as a meal because it is so filling! Comes with sour cream, guacamole and salsa on the side. Yuuuum, I love guacamole. Their chicken wings are also pretty decent! The size of their wings are huge compared to like BWW and other places. The Café is probably a good place to eat at compared to all the other food joints they have inside Harrahs. It’s open 24/7, prices are a litttttle pricey for being a café, but its way better than eating at the Earls, Pinks Hot Dogs or the buffet here.

Went last night to see Pat Benatar and Rick Springfield. Which was awesome for this 80’s kid. Me and my girl decided to check out The Café before the show. Seemed like a good place to chow. Menu varied of the standard American fare. This review is not about the food. Which was good. Try this place. HOWEVER, this is about the service we received. Which was deplorable. First, our waiter was very abrupt and not really engaging(keep that in mind). Took our drink orders, no problem. Came back for our order… that’s when s**t got real. We ordered really easy menu items, fish and chips and salmon blt. Here we go… first, my girl asked for a side of ranch and the waiter actually rolled his eyes. No kidding. That was strike one. Usually, we brush this off as maybe he’s having a bad night because it was concert night and it was busy. Oh, I’m sorry. Did I say busy?! Well, it wasn’t when we got there! So, that excuse is out the window. As it started to get busy we noticed that he spent a bit of time with other tables. But, he would ignore ours. Case in point, I ordered a coffee and a glass of water. Easy right? Well, I finished the water and did the«slide– glass– to– end –of– table –to– signal– I– would –like– a– refill– please». Said waiter ignored me. BUT, he had all the time in the world for the tables behind and to the side of us. He even walked by with a carafe of water, looked at my glass and kept walking. But, he made sure the patrons behind us were watered. Oh, and my coffee? HA! No chance! Strike two. Strike three(you’re out!)…by this time we were done. Done eating and done with this waiter. I actually felt discriminated against. I’m a Pacific islander and my girl is Caucasian /Mexican. Now I really don’t think it was overt discrimination because our waiter was Asian(I think). But, one can’t help but wonder when service is this bad. Being ignored and patronized tends to make you have bad thoughts. My girl is a former restaurant manager so she knows the business. Needless to say by this time she is really ticked off(that’s being politically correct). So, we get up to leave. Not only does our waiter not give us a check. He calls out from across another table if we’re ready for the check. He goes and prints it up and just sticks the check in my hand! That’s it! No thanks for coming in or have a good night… N.O.T.H.I.N.G!!! My girl flags down the supervisor. We didn’t get her name but she was really understanding and sympathetic. She comped our meal after we explained our night. We are really hard working, easy going types and great tippers. So you really have to f**k up for us to get really riled. Oh, tip? No he didn’t get one. Seriously? So, if you come here. Enjoy the food. Just stay out of Nelson from Escondido’s section.

We came here on a weekend evening and all the restaurants had lines. Believe it or not, this place had NO wait and we were immediately seated. I think at this point we were so hungry that we just wanted to order anything. I wanted something light and healthy and was about to go for the fish tacos. When I asked our server about the tacos, he mentioned that the chicken tacos were much better. OKFINE, so I ordered the chicken fajitas. I have to admit, the plate was filling. The side of rice was alright. The service was OK, but don’t expect anything stellar. It’s a weekend night so expect this place to be busy. This café is located next to the Asian and Steak and Seafood restaurants.

The fare is typical of what you would expect at a café in a casino. I ordered a three cheese omelet and although it was OK they melted slices of cheese on the top vice adding shredded cheese throughout. That was weird. I only got cheese on the very top of the omelet but the portion was huge so that’s pretty much all I needed anyways. Also I always have an issue with breakfast places when they charge you an arm and a leg for a Dixie Cup full of juice. The Café gives you a full size glass. That’s a plus especially when you are recovering from a too much fun night before. My service was great and I loved the sourdough bread. Potatoes were OK I just wish they were a little bit crispier. All in all A-OK.

Service is bad. Really bad. Every casino has a café and this one is Harrah’s café. We came for breakfast and were handed breakfast menus. For 20 minutes, not one person came by or even acknowledged that they were coming by. We finally got an acknowledgement in 20 minutes and waited another 10 minutes so they could take our drink orders. When we told him that we waited over half an hour and we were ready to order, he said he was busy and get our order after he got our drinks. Getting coffee took another 10 minutes, a total of 40 minutes. When we tried to order, he told us that we couldn’t order breakfast anymore and breakfast ended 10 minutes ago. This idiot knew we waited over 40 minutes and had the nerve to tell us that. I asked for the manager that took another 15 minutes before he came over. The idiot manager blamed us for coming too late and didn’t offer any compensation for our time. My father is s a Total Rewards Platinum member, which he could care less. Only because I became hostile, he gave us a voucher for cash. When we went up to the casino cashier window, since the restaurant wouldn’t cash the voucher, they told us that no one, including the restaurant could give us cash. Come here if you like slow waiters and idiot managers.

For a casino café, it was pretty good. The parmesean parley lemon fries were really yummy as was the french dip. Tuna salad sandwich was huge! Oh, and the jalapeño potato salad was really good too and I hate mayo… Also tried the onion rings(huge and crispy and yummy, served with two aolis) and the Wonton soup(wontons were good but they served with a mass amount of saimin noodles in the soup which was really weird. Noodles were NOT good. Very rubbery) Service was quick for water refills and ordering, slow for getting food out and getting you the bill.

It’s a casino restaurant… A bit over priced, with tons of variety. You can get American food, or Asian food! Breakfast is served all day and most menu items are served until midnight. Very creative and delicious fried… With parmesan. Service is fast, and everyone is very friendly.

*Night Review I only went to The Café twice but this recent visit was great! The girl working there was very nice and friendly. Also the prices are relatively cheap for a casino. Tall iced coffees ~ 3.00 and grande around 3.50. I have not tried the food yet but it looks tasty especially the desserts.

*BREAKFASTREVIEWONLY My parents come to this Harrah’s all the time as an alternative to going to Vegas. As members of the Total Rewards program, this was an obvious choice for a So.Cal. native. We had comps to burn and unfortunately not a great big appetite, so we opted out of the buffet and instead turned to the Café. Clean. Yippe! Now I was a little hesitant because of the rotten reviews, but whatever. Each experience is different, so here’s mine. The greeter was amazingly nice, and the waitress was very receptive and quick. Instead of guarding their own tables, it seemed like everyone worked together as a team. As for the breakfast prices, they were all around $ 10 or less. For three adults, we ordered 2 omelets, and the bill came out to around $ 20. These omelets came with toast. My only complaint was the heavy amount of butter used in the food. Piece of advice? If your meal comes with toast, ask for the butter on the side.
