Olfactory Bliss… you can smell the lavender as you drive near the farm. Rows of lavender great you and instantly put you in a relaxed state. The garden path meanders through flowers and interesting antique items such a short an old gate, water pump, spoked wheel, or bench. The gift shop offers everything lavender… soap, essential oils, eye mask, dried herbs, lip balm and much more. They have a small area to grab a drink and offer high tea(with reservations) and other events. They are open in May or June only, which is a shame, but understandably, when the flowers are in bloom. It’s a drive down a washboard dirt road, so take your time. I had high tea here many years ago with my mom. It was pleasant but a bit pricey. If you love lavender, Key’s Creek is a must.

Do Not have their soap class!!! It is unworthy!!! The event name is Soap Making Class. We thought the teach will teach how to make and we will do it by ourselves. It should be a nice experience. HOWEVER, it’s just a lecture. She just showed how to do it which you can find on YOUTUBE easily. Here, you have to spend $ 50 and 2 hours!!!

They offer guided tour on Saturday and Sunday for $ 15, by reservation only. We had few questions but no one ever answered their phone or email so we ended not book the tour. So glad we didn’t. The farm is extremely small despite the self-guided tour map looks big, it took less than 30 mins to walk the whole loop. Maybe we went on the wrong time of the year, there were only few rows of lavenders. Gift shop has tons of stuff but I don’t find it any different than the one you can get from Mother’s Market or Alteya Organics.(my favorite brand for lavender water and oil). My friends tried the lavender lemonade but it’s just like regular lemonade with a hint of lavender. We tasted the scone and it was too sweet. To get here you will be driving on dirt road at some point, we drove the rental car so I could care less. It wasn’t the worst dirt road I ever drove on so no big deal, road is flat and wide. Their website said not to follow the GPS direction but my iPhone gps took us there from Pala without any problem. Lot of bees around, don’t come if you have bee phobia. Verizon cellular signal is very good in this area. I don’t think it even worth just short drive from Pala, oh well. I guess there’s nothing else better to do in the area besides staying in Casino anyway.

The tour was nothing special, the owner gave the tour and she talked about herself more than the farm itself. Very beautiful though, very unique. But you can probably get by doing a self guided tour.

I love coming here to smell the lavender. Nice to sit and enjoy the view. I’ve purchased lotions, face wash, oils and honey and the quality is always top notch.

Amazing place to visit! My husband and I love this cosy lavender miracle from the first step. An owner, Alicia, is such a unique and precious person. She is very kind and full of love of nature. The farm is a must see place! Lavender’s bushes are really wonderful! Farm also has a big variety of organic products. We used a map from the web site and didn’t have any issues at all to find a farm. Highly recommended place to visit from a busy life ;).

This place is amazing! I insist you consider visiting or throwing your next event here. It’s absolutely delightful! April and May are gorgeous but if you need to get away anytime of year please visit. You drive through lilac on the way there. Do I need to say more. The owner Alicia is delightful and super classy. Go!!!

I know the listing says that Key’s Creek is temporarily closed but if you go to their website they are still holding special events that allow small groups who sign up to go. We went to one such a event. It was for an Earth Day celebration. We helped plants and do some upkeep around the farm, lunch was provided along with a tour and some time to explore and shop at their lavender store. This place is such a cute little place off the beaten path… literally…it’s off the main road for sure! Though Google maps found it ok, so it’s not THAT remote but you’d definitely miss if if you weren’t looking for it. The reason why they are temporarily closed is because evidently the fields are«resting». Every 7th year or so the land needs to be replenished of its nutrients and they go easy with the planting and harvesting that year. I’m not an expert on organic standards by any means but that in conjunction along with that they wanted the fields to be at their best for functions like weddings which they do is an idea I can get behind. Speaking of which, I could definitely imagine this place as a great venue for a wedding. When in bloom on a high harvest year… I could imagine this place being just so beautiful… I don’t think it would fit a very very large wedding… but for those that did go it would be memorable I’m sure. The staff was so nice and accommodating as well! How can you doubt anyone who has a tattoo of lavender on their arm as lack of commitment? =) They were the icing on the cake and made the outing an memorable one!

I took my Mom to Keys Creek for a birthday tea over the weekend and we had such a fantastic time! It was a perfect afternoon. The drive down from Orange was wonderful, particularly the scenic back roads en route to the farm and our hosts were so kind and welcoming.(We stopped at roadside vendor selling mini avocados 20 or $ 5!) The food was wonderful and I loved the touch of serving the lavender tea at the end of the meal. The desserts were a particular hit — the lemon squares, yum! — and the presentation was very thoughtful. I particularly enjoyed the labyrinth on site and the unique items in the gift shop. I have been to several lavender farms but this is the first where I have seen lavender face wash(sold!) and I also loved the rose geranium spray purchased. What a special place!

Keys Creek Lavender Farm is a must see place for any lavender lover! I have always loved lavender for baking to bathing! I had the opportunity to visit the farm for a St. Patty’s Day Tea served with many things lavender and a gorgeous view of the property. Tea was served at tables on the patio and the owner Alicia was present. There was a demonstration on how lavender oil is made at the event. Afterwards everyone could enjoy the property from the gift shop(guess what they have) to the lovely labyrinth. Go and enjoy a day in the county so close to home.

I loved the rustic feel driving to Keys Creek Lavender Farm. Alicia is a gracious host, the lavender farm and surrounding buildings are magical. If you are there for a wedding, to shop in the lavender store, for a spot of tea or a tour, you will be delighted and wowed by it all. Highly recommended!

This place sucks…$ 5/person to enter? Super small cup of lemonade $ 1.75 ? There is okay be only 5~10% of the land can see lavender lively ~. Well…1.5 hr drive really not worthy it at all… Over priced over rating … Sigh ~ very disappointed !

Visited Keys Creek Lavender Farm over the weekend and it was really a beautiful place to see. If you are planning a visit, make sure you take a look at their website first for helpful information regarding directions, what to wear, etc. Getting there was an experience all on it’s own. The directions on the website were clear and easy to follow. Allow PLENTY of time to get there if you are trying to make one of the tours. The final turn off is on to a dirt road and is pretty narrow in some spots so drive slow and watch for cars coming the other way. The accessibility section on the website, I don’t think fully describes what to expect. It is all dirt with stairs or cobblestone pathway. To see all of the farm or the labyrinth you do have to walk up several steps or up hill on the cobblestone path. Then you have to come back down. People who have trouble with steps or walking up hill or with uneven surfaces should be warned that it could be challenging. Good workout though! We took the tour at 10:30 on Sunday and our tour guide was very knowledgeable, answered questions, made sure to wait for the entire group to be caught up before talking about the next subject on the tour. After our tour we went up to walk through the labyrinth however when we got up there, there was a large group of girls up there who outnumbered the parents, and were allowing them to run amok. There clearly was a sign that asked parents to not let your kids do this, but they didn’t have any respect for that. There were girls walking on the PVC pipes for the sprinklers that were exposed. Not the fault of the farm but it surely would have been nice if the parents respected the farm and other visitors by helping keep a closer eye on the shenanigans that were going on. I really would have liked to experience the labyrinth for it’s intended purpose. Mrs. Jones Tea House offered lavender tea(hot or cold) and lavender lemonade and scones and cookies for sale. The tea and lemonade were very refreshing on the warm day. The woman who ran the tea house, was very nice and personable Last comment is there are LOTS of bees on the farm. Lavender attracts bees and obviously are needed. If you are allergic or have other issues with bees, take caution. The bees kept to themselves and never were a nuisance to us while we were there, but there were a lot. I hope to go back and visit again this season with our return ticket. It is truely a unique experience.

What a cute hidden gem in the Valley Center! It’s definitely a bit tricky find it though if you’ve never been here. For sure do NOT follow you’re GPS or it will get you lost! Follow the directions on their website for the exact turns for the tiny dirt road entrance, it’s the street directly after the BIG yellow deli building. You might miss it if you’re not looking carefully! Note the lavender farm is only open from May-June each year but check there site for the latest conditions. The entrance fee is $ 5/person which they collected at the entrance to the parking lot. Don’t forget your camera and sunscreen since this is a self guided walking tour! If you’re a lavender lover this place is definitely heaven for you. The 5HUGE majestic fields of lush lavender that you can smell far away and yes they’re organic too! YAY win! The trail is about ¼ mi around the entire grounds with some small gardens here and there. If you’re thirsty or looking for souvenirs or just wanna buy some lavender goodies checkout the gift shop at the main entrance. They had some refreshing lavender goodies too next to the gift shop: lavender lemon tea $ 1.75/cup, lavender scone with jelly $ 3, Lemon lavender cookie $ 3.50, gluten free cookie $ 3.75, lavender short bread $ 3.50. Its definitely a nice place to visit on a sunny summer afternoon.

The grounds were beautiful and it is a great place for adults to spend a relaxing afternoon, however it is not a place for children, especially children who struggle with social and interpersonal skills. I thought it would be a nice trip for my son, who has a psychiatric disorder. I thought it would be a calming and relaxing place for him to be out in nature for a bit. His disorder makes him very impulsive and when we got to the labyrinth he got excited and began running. Before I could get to him and get him calmed down someone who worked for the farm came out and told my sister and I that our kids had to leave the labyrinth. She was not sensitive at all to our situation and instead of trying to help the situation she only tried to make us feel bad for not«controlling» our children, telling us that«some people take this seriously,» as if kids, enjoying the property as kids is somehow insulting to the property or the others there. Please note, the kids were not being destructive or noisy, they were just running and laughing. My son is very hard to deal with sometimes and this type of «intervention» by strangers only makes it worse, putting more, unnecessary stress on both of us. I can understand the concern and surely if there is a child running amok with parents obviously not trying to stop him then it is something that needs to be addressed. However, when you see that a parent is trying to deal with a child that simply does not understand the social implications of a situation, berating them and making them feel like they have done something wrong is really the last way to handle it. My son and I left feeling like we were not wanted here and we will not be returning.

My mom loves lavender… so what better place to visit than a farm of lavenders! After driving up and down the hills and going off road for a bit… we finally arrived into the farm. It’s not really a spectacular sight since the fields were a wee bit small. However, as we walked around, I gained some appreciation of the beauty of the place. I had no idea there were different types of lavenders… or all the different products you can make from it: body wash, lotion, soap, honey, incense, and on and on. There was a tea shop, a massage chair section, a prayer/meditation garden, and even card readers who will read your fortune and give you insight… if that’s your cup of tea. It’s a neat place to walk around but probably not somewhere I will come often given how small it is… maybe once every couple years. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. But it does close pretty early, 4PM!

I know, I know… I was just there last week! But I had to review for the Tea Party. It was beautifully set up, the tables just looked so crisp and elegant at the same time. The tea cup setting was just beautiful! Everything served today was refreshing and tasty. Alicia the owner was there today, a very kind and soft spoken lady. I enjoyed my tea time(English Theme) at Keys Creek Lavender Farm, I would like to attend again next year.
