The resto is a real gem in downtown Vallejo. Place is very relaxing with nice concept of setting and décor. Food is fresh and delicious. The staff are welcoming, attentive and friendly. We were lucky we had a Hawaiian buffet on a Friday night and was indeed a wonderful experience to end up the week :)

The first time I met Michelle, the owner of Vallejo Power Company, I was with my children at the Mad Hatter Festival and Parade. She was very gracious and invited us to come to her restaurant on Virginia Street. I told her it had been my intention to visit for quite some time, and we would be in for brunch. Well, the busy mom I am, three months later I showed up and this wonderful woman remembered me! I went the first time with my friend for brunch, 30 minutes before they closed. It was wonderful! I am gluten free, so my choices were limited, but the food I had was delicious. I had ribs, potato salad, salad and coleslaw; I wish we had gotten there earlier, ;) About two weeks later we went on a Friday night with a large group of friends. Same experience: gracious attentive host, wonderful food, drinks and a relaxing atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable, the portions were generous and the buffet is probably your best value with delicious choices. Nice place to unwind on a Friday night, nice break from the chain restaurants in Vallejo. Enjoy!

I applaud any establishment that will try and operate in downtown Vallejo, especially one that is trying to offer a high end meal experience. We came in for the Easter Brunch having made reservations. A table was ready for us and we were off to the races. The premisses are very nice with quality linens. In the past my wife and I have had specialty functions at the location and it really is a nice venue. The buffett offered today was extensive, but the execution was a bit lackluster. In the backroom where they had the main hot food line they had all of the dishes in hot trays, but with the lids on and no room to set your plate or lid down. Makes it rather difficult to see what the food was,(needing to lift the lid on each one to see) not to mention actually being able to serve from the tray if I wanted that dish. 1 hand plate, 1 hand hot tray cover, no place to set the cover and not a 3rd hand to actually serve myself. Highly recommend they look for alternative buffet serving equipment. Salmon was good, benedict average, and some of the other dishes OK, but nothing to write home about. Good but not great. Something I would expect at a higher end hotel breakfast buffet. They also had a made to order omelette station that was good with numerous selections. Definitely a plus. The biscuits were lousy, cold, dense, with poor flavor. Deviled eggs had good flavor however please invest in a pastry bag and pipe the filing in instead of trying to pack it in with a spoon. The deserts were a mixed bag. The chocolate chunk cookies were a hit, however the chocolate brownie/cake with marshmallows on top had a weird after taste that ruined them. The fruit crisp bars were good.(Pear I think) Service was good, up until the point that we were finished and wanted to go. We asked a sever for the check. 10 minutes later, we asked a 2nd server for the check. 4 – 5 minutes later it finally came to the table. Not sure if the gentleman that brought the check was just busy or pissed that he had to bring over the check, but it wasn’t a very cordial delivery. Bottom line, I hope for the best with this place but probably won’t return unless there is some type of special function at the premisses.

This brunch would easily cost about $ 25-$ 30 elsewhere, but it doesn’t! Take advantage of this delicious dining experience in the large, natural sunlit bar and dining space. Nice mix of Casual and Classy atmosphere. Doting service for clearing plates off your table and refilling your bottomless Mimosa flute(if ordered). Easy parking on the historic downtown Vallejo streets.

On my continued quest to find and support local businesses, I stopped in this establishment Sunday afternoon. I got a chance to get a tour from Michelle, and was impressed at the ambiance. The rooms are open, bright and inviting. As I had just left the gym. I was not prepared to eat, but will return soon. When you are in the Vallejo area on Friday and Sunday… check this spot out.

My girlfriends and I were in search of a brunch place that served bottomless mimosas. Well, this is where we landed after one of the ladies found this place thru Unilocal. We were going here to celebrate one of the ladies’ birthday and have a get together. We were able to make reservations and as soon as we got there, were quickly seated to our table as we passed the various entrée’s. We were immediately served our Mimosas :-). As soon as we were all together, a plate of blueberry pancakes were put on our table. There is a made to order omelette station — with a wide variety of choices. Variety of pasta, potato choices. They had chicken and rice, BBQ ribs with sweet potatoes, salisbury steak and mashed potatoes, eggs benedict, fruit salad station, cookies in various areas and so many that I can’t remember them all. The service was awesome. The owner made sure our Mimosas were bottomless, and as loud as we were with our laughing and talking, it was a great enjoyable place to have brunch with the ladies. I would highly recommend this place. The service was great. The restaurant is located in downtown Vallejo and is truly a gem. I love the décor and it’s not your ordinary buffet brunch scene. Check it out and give this local restaurant a try!

The flavor of all of the food was thoughtful, had a lot of depth, and used interesting and quality ingredients. There were a lot of different dishes to choose from, and everything was fresh. Please note, however, that this restaurant in still growing and there is still a long way to go before they are settled. Today they told us that this was the busiest they have ever been. While it was very exciting for us to hear that they are growing(we need more quality restaurants in Vallejo), they definitely are going to have to step up the waitstaff and food turnover if they are going to keep customers coming back. We only had two major complaints: 1) my mom and I both got omelets. They took 45 minutes to get them to us because there were 10 orders of omelets in front of us. This is waaaay too long! Having two tiny omelet stands at the buffet line may be fun for people to see, but they should send some of those orders to the back kitchen so they can get them out quicker. Plus, you just put your name on the order, and the poor waitstaff is then relegated to running around the restaurant trying to guess which guest looks like a «Courtney». 2) Each dish was really good, but none of the dishes went together. Today there was(from left to right) a small salad bar, chili, eggs benedict, rice and some kind of beef, spaghetti, short ribs, mashed sweet potatoes, some kind of cheesy white potatoes(think like a scalloped kind of dish), fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, cold shrimp, potato salad, ravioli salad, some kind of curry-pesto pasta salad… and…that’s all I can remember. Like I said before, none of these dishes really went together. When they just tighten up the menu(maybe a specific theme each week?) and get the staff the kind of support they need, this place will be awesome! For the price, you cannot be the beautiful restaurant and the flavorful food.

I was looking for a place to throw my son’s party and a friend of mine suggested coming here for Sunday Brunch to check out the venue. As soon as she mentioned the 2 words«Bottomless Mimosas», I was there! This restaurant is located in(I would say), Historic Vallejo. Parking was not a problem. I fell in love with the restaurant as soon as I walked in. The first thing you notice is the full bar and the décor. Very classy! Another big plus is that it’s affordable and KIDFRIENDLY! The selection was phenomenal for the price you pay. The blueberry pancakes were AMAZING and many of the dishes on the table were tasty. You can tell that the dishes were made from fresh ingredients. There is an omelet station, a good selection of cheeses, even chocolate truffles. Yummy. My favorite was the pasta with sun dried tomatoes! Thanks to the pasta, I had food coma x100! And of course, another favorite of mine was the Bottomless Mimosas($ 10). My glass was never empty. If I can give this place 10 stars, I would. I have made the decision to host my son’s party here. I was very impressed with the quality of food and décor. It is perfect! Can’t wait to come back next Sunday! Thank you VPC for a remarkable Sunday brunch!

I have been to a few restaurants that present themselves as a buffet, but this place greets you as family an give a homie environment. I especially enjoyed the blue berry pancakes and the eggs Benedict… Which was out of this world…

First I must say it is wonderful to have a place that is open for brunch in Vallejo. The blueberry pancakes and eggs benedict are great. They also have an omelet bar although we did not try it. There are lots of choices and the side dishes are very tasty. The meat dishes on the other hand were very average. The sausage was dry and bacon was limp. Boiling a bunch of pork ribs and covering them with BBQ sauce in a steamer tray is just not memorable.

So I’ve been here twice now and have been impressed twice. I just wish more people in the Vallejo/Benicia/American Canyon would visit this place! She serves dinner on Thursday and Fridays only. We were able to choose a few items from the menu, and they were GREAT. Plus huge portions. Had to take some home! Sunday brunch is wonderful as well. Every table gets eggs benedict and blueberry pancakes. Yum! Then as if that weren’t enough, there’s a huge buffet spread with tons of fresh fruit, beet salads, pasta salads, shrimp, salmon, breakfast items(eggs, bacon, sausage) and even lunch items(pasta, ribs, etc.) And bottomless mimosas for $ 10? Yes please!!! Can’t wait to go back on a Sunday and spend the entire day there. Yum!

I consider this restaurant to be an oasis in Vallejo. Michelle St. John is a wonderful person and chef and her caring and down-to-earth attitude comes through in each and every one of the meals I have experienced in her restaurant. Not only is the food well-prepared, healthy and filling, her restaurant is clean, spacious and well-lit. She recently provided a New Orleans-themed menu and the meal I had rivaled some of the best Thanksgiving dinners I’ve had, and that’s saying a WHOLE lot. This restaurant deserves all of the support it receives and more –it’s a very good example of what can happen in Vallejo when talented people come here and share their gifts. Also want to put other restaurant owners on notice — customer service is everything and St. John has set the standard.

Wifey and I stopped by for their sunday brunch and were very impressd. The space is absolutely beautiful — big high ceilings, wide open dining space, massive windows, a beautifully appointed bar, tile floor, and old blue eyes singing over the stereo. The staff is super friendly and the owner is great. It doesnt hurt that the food is top-notch either. It’s buffet style and orders of eggs benedict and/or a dessert are included. You can also order bottomless mimosas for $ 10. My wife particularly liked the blueberry pancakes with bannana in the batter and I filled my plate full of fruits and cheeses. There was also three kinds of sausage, roast beef, lunch meats, bagels, muffins, eggs, apple struedal(yum!) and lots of other tasty stuff. They post the menu on their facebook page ahead of time. What this place really reminds me of more then anything is the fancy sunday brunch that I see sometimes at resteraunts attached to luxery hotels — but without the luxury hotel price. Their plan is to expand a little at a time and add days and special events as their reputation builds. It’s a smart plan and I really hope they’ll succeed. Downtown needs a place like this.

Went for Thursday Burger night and Happy Hour. I had a ½ lb cheese burger with avocado for $ 7.95 and added a side of potato salad for $ 2.00. I also had house whiskey and coke(ok I had 2) each was $ 1.50 off there normal price for happy hour. The bill was $ 18.37 plus tip ended up being about $ 22 bucks. Pretty good deal! Burger was delicious and moist. The potato salad was seasoned just perfectly and the drinks were good, neither too weak or too strong. Ambiance was neat especially in that old building(make sure to look up!!). The only downside was the service. I’m not sure if they weren’t expecting a group to come in but the bartender was a bit discombobulated serving us at the bar & trying to serve people drinks at the tables but she was very sweet.

Unreal. Tasty. Filling. Just three words to describe my lunch/dinner on Friday. I posted a few photos but the portions for the cajun pasta were so much that I had lunch for Saturday and Sunday! This will most certainly become a go to spot for dining with colleagues and friends and it is right on time with the departure of another restaurant I loved on Virginia St. I enjoyed the various spread options. The first we tried was a pineapple/cocunut curry(or something like that) but the SALMONSPREADWASMOUTHTASTIC! I would have bought a quart to take home and eat. It was really THAT good. I also think it is a nice alternative to a heavy bread option prior to a meal that will leave you full. I tasted my mom and aunts dishes which were equally as great. My aunt went with the salmon and my mom the salmon/seafood pasta. I ordered a side of beans and they were flavorful and exactly what I needed on a cool evening. Again, I enjoyed the meal from beginning to end including the service and it was nice meeting the owner and having her share with us she really cares about our experience and was appreciative of us coming, I really may have to make this a weekly thing…

I remember this place in it’s many transformations. This one is indeed a great one. It no longer has the feeling of being in a cavern. The ambiance is one of industrial/New York Loft. Light and airy. The table setup is almost the same as when the Cantina was doing business in this location. Now for the really important part, the food. All I can really say is WOW! I had the poached salmon with a curry pasta. Really incredible, there was just the right hint of curry in the hollandaise sauce. All in all, there were no complaints from me or the guests at my table. I do hope this gem will be here for years to come; Vallejo really needs a nice place to dine.

Wonderful! My boyfriend and I checked it out this past Saturday night. We decided to eat at the bar, and Dawn kept us entertained with her fantastic drinks and hospitality. I live right around the corner, and we will definitely be back! The food here is AMAZING. My bf had the penne pasta with meat sauce and I had the BBQ sandwich(it came with two sides of my choosing). The proportions are generous, the quality is high, and the pricing is perfect. I had the pasta salad and fresh fruit for my two sides, and they were both delicious. The pasta salad has a touch of dill in it, and the fruit is really fresh. The pulled pork BBQ on my sandwich was delicious, and the seasoning on the inside of the fresh, crusty bread was divine. I had a few bites of the penne, and the meat and seasonings were abundant and fresh. The Vallejo Power Company Bar & Grill is a wonderful addition to downtown Vallejo. Folks were just having a good time, the staff is enthusiastic and attentive, and the Chef obviously knows what she is doing in the kitchen. They said they would be opening for Sunday brunch soon — we can’t wait! Thank you for coming to Vallejo — this is a great city and it’s nice to have a fun, casual, but classy place in the neighborhood.
