Honestly, finding decent food for the«19th hole» of a round of golf is pretty much like finding Bigfoot. It’s impossible, we all consider the idea that MAYBE it can exist, but ultimately we know deep down that it doesn’t. The Grille at Hiddenbrooke is a reflection of that, but the reason why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 3 stars lies in a few factors. Firstly, the food itself is shockingly above average. It isn’t great, but it’s exactly above average. It comes out nice and quick, and from what my group had(fish tacos, club sandwich, garlic fries), the plating was quite nice and the flavors were pretty good for golf food. Secondly, the service. The bartender/server, Jasmine, was such a sweetheart. Everyone who came in felt at ease talking with her, and I could tell that she knew how to talk to customers in order to develop some sort of rapport. The beer selection is not humongous, the alcohol selection is pretty good(although I didn’t have any of either), and the food options are about in the range of what you would expect. However, as far as 19th hole establishments go, I wouldn’t mind coming back here. Given the amount of golf I play, I’m sure it’ll happen eventually.

There are no vegetarian options except for a cheese quesadilla. Not a «go to» place unless you just want a view of the course and a beer.

After a round of golf, I sometimes stop in a grab a quick bite. Just like everyone I enjoy burgers fries and a drink on the outside patio, watching the rest of the players play through. Clean establishment. Great service. Good food. They offer healthier choices, but im not interested. I should be. 3.5 stars.

Love this place. We pop in here now and then for lunch. They have great salads but the burgers are off the hook. Great fries to go with ‘em. An unbeatable choice, particularly when you pair it with a draft beer! The service is always friendly and efficient, and if the weather is nice enough to sit on the patio, you get a million-dollar view on the house!

Ohh Biffy… It’s «okay» food… and it’s in the middle of nowhere, yet still in Vallejo(minus one star for that, sorry V-town)…

I came here to join a foursome after they played 18 holes. Unfortunately I’m not a golfer but I’m definitely and eater… Pretty chill during the week. The grille itself isn’t that large. The outside patio area is nice with a view of the course. I had the house special soup… Usually they just have tomato but the chef whipped up a veggie variety for me… How nice. It wasn’t spectacular but it was decent. I also had the turkey burger with a small side salad w/balsamic vinegar. The bun, which was whole wheat was huge! I took it apart because there was no way it would fit in my mouth. The patty itself had bits of bell pepper, which made it delicious. The turkey burger in of itself was very tasty. Service was great.

Boots… you must be kidding me?(that’s what you’re thinking, right?) but…didn’t you already write one of the all time funniest reviews about the GRILLE at Hiddenbrooke? Yes, kemosabi, you are correct. But let me make this perfectly clear: the Grille is not the LOUNGE! Oh no my Hiddenbrooke dwelling Unilocalers and other purveyors of fine dining and the perfect sunset happy hour, I am not drunk or confused! The LOUNGE is finally back open again for cocktail hour and dining on Friday nights! We’ve had some delectable goodies from the menu, seated comfortably in front of the gianormously HUGE big screen TV and watched amber ringed sunsets descend over the 18th fairway. Bartender Daniel makes a serious kick ass spicy Bloody Mary(and doesn’t turn me in to Ollie or Carmen when I start swiping all of the queen size olives). The«grils» did drinks here a couple Fridays back and were quite pleased by Daniel’s improvised Mojito, tangy Lemon Drop and oh, did I already mention the vodka-soaked spicy Bloody Mary? We spy some of our favorite local yokels here and it’s a really great place to wind down after a hectic week at work… Keep at it, we’re lovin’ it(oh, and if you could get a gourmet burger or patty melt on the bar menu for happy hour, that’d be great!)
