Tatham Property Management

Be very careful, BEWARE of working with Mike Tatham. He rented to people without background checks. He rented to people under market value and with no security deposit. He tried to buy my building behind my back, talking only to the real estate agent. I had two buildings with Tatham. There were tenants that had multiple people living in their units, as much as 5 in some cases and multiple dogs. Tatham did nothing about this. I had to pay someone $ 100 per month to pick up dog crap. I had a discrimination suit made against me and had never even met the woman. Mike Tatham handled the building. Hire him if you want to do your own management. And know you’ll have lots of anxiety especially if you want a clean, well-​run building. He also was very unhelpful when I fired him and needed help transferring the properties. I was also charged $ 100’s of dollars due to him receiving bills from Vallejo sanitation and never passing them on. I thought my new prop. mgr. was getting them and she thought I was taking care of them. Tatham cost me thousands of dollars. What an abysmal experience. He should be reported to the licensing board.

Hmm if only I could say A LOT. People here suck. Or atleast the owners do. They do not notify you if they will come to check out the house. They hire different companies/​people to look at what’s wrong with the house, but they keep sending someone new everytime. the previous companies that checked for the issue were trying to charge them «too much» I guess. Even the workers said that’s probably why so many came by to look at it because their estimation wasn’t within the companies budget. Ha It would take them forever to do anything. The previous renters that rented the house were charged a couple hundred dollars less. And they kept trying to increase our monthly payments annually. so we dipped.

You’re better off listing your property on Craigslist. Poor experience with Mike Tatham, his customer service skills are below par. The rest of his office staff are the only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of just 1. They try very hard to work for the owner that really just doesn’t care.
Also I confirm a previous post about the office smelling of cat urine. If the office isn’t inviting, just imagine what kind of properties this guy deals with.

GOOD: they got a great family to rent my place… and still there and Never late with rent.
Fees are fair.
BAD: Everything else.
Except, the Manager, Jose, has a Great attitude and easy to speak with and I think he tries Hard to make everyone happy, but perhaps the Resources allotted to him may be limited and is the companys downfall.
I am Ending My business with them next month.

If you don’t want flea bites, don’t use this business. This company is by far the worst experience I have had apartment hunting in Vallejo. I went in to the office to get the keys to look at a few places I found on craigslist. The office smelled like a kitty litter box. The smell of feline feces was so overpowering I did not want to stay in there to get the keys but I liked what I saw on the website. I got the keys and let myself into the apartment. Well it was disgusting, smelled like the disgusting office, and the pictures on craigslist were very deceptive. I walked out of there within 2 minutes of seeing the filthy place. And what happens next you might ask? YEAH I WAS COVERED IN FLEAS!!! I now have 50+ bites on my legs from the incredible amount of fleas that hopped on me. I hope you are itching reading this. This is the most disgusting business I have ever dealt with. Slumlords.

Very nice people… Jose Luis helped answered all my questions!
He even helped me find the right apartment for my needs! Next time I stop in there I will have to take some pictures!

I love these people! Mike which is the manager Jose Luis is the office assistant and lets not forget cute Lil Lelaine the secretary. Oh and there’s Rattie and Buster too! hahaha They are so nice and they will work with you. Their prices are really good too and they have properties in some real nice locations.
