I was given 5 gallon bucket of some good Kelly Moore brand paint Pinkish paint, so i stopped by to see if they could tint it to a more usable color for me.
CHRIS took great care of me & was nothing but professional in tinting that bucket to a brown that i could paint up some retaining wall boards out in my yard…=)

Just came back from Kelly Moore. I was not familiar what what kind of paint, nor the right brand. So this employee walks in & saw me standing while the other employee
assisting another customer & said how can I help you. He introduced himself by Chris & explained all the paints, brands, best deals. Chris gave me Superior customer service. Chris

As noted in other reviews wait time for service can be annoying. However I bought a gallon of semi-​transparent fence paint. Wanted to be sure about color and paint is non-​returnable. Paint was fine, so I returned to buy remainder of required paint. «We do not have that type in stock. Would you like another type?» No I have started painting .” We can get it from somewhere else and call you. You will have to return” And I did. Would prefer to be able to buy additional supply if desired.

This location has been in Vallejo for many, many years. I buy all my paints from Kelly-​Moore.
Today I called to see if they had the paint I needed, and they gave me a pretty good price. So I went down to the store and I felt a bit upset that I was being completely ignored. I sat patiently and waited my turn… for about 5 minutes. while the clerk finished typing an order or something on the computer which was fine, but then she took an incoming phone call from a second customer and chit-​chatted back and forth at length rather than asking for their phone number and calling them back after they helped me NEXT, which would have been the more proper and polite thing to do. But no… I got pushed off again… a second time! I had to sit for yet ANOTHER TEN MINUTES before anyone got to me to see what I needed. At this point I was getting a bit impatient. I felt like I was invisible or something. WTH.
But thankfully at last, a second young lady who works there was very sweet. She was able to help me with everything promptly and I had nothing but good opinions of her.
So what I’m trying to say here is apparently at this location it’s a hit-​or-​miss proposition on customer service. One young lady is fantastic. The other, …not so much. And I definitely know who to talk to there next time.
One girl gets 2 stars at best. The other is a solid 5 stars… all the way.

I just want to give an enormous thanks to Kelly Moore for employing people like Chris Libby! He was an extreme help with his superb knowledge and empathic customer service. I had no idea what to do when trying to design my daughter’s room for her birthday. He explained different types of paint, techniques, and showed extreme patience with me as this was my first time dealing with a project this big. Chris made me feel comfortable, at times dealing with men sales people I feel they talk down to me because of my little experience. Chris was and is amazing!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Super great customer service, these guys really know what they’re doing. It may be a little more expensive than say Lowes or Home Depot but you get what you pay for. Top of the line paints and expertise.

I was looking for a contour paint scrapers to remove paint from the molding of old windows. I called several local stores (around Vallejo, hardware, lumber paint) and none of them have the scrapers in stock. However, the staffs at Kelly-​Moore impressed me the most and set them a notch above the rest.
The lady who answered the phone was very patient and listened to what I was looking for; after she knew I was working with old paint on old windows she suggested to pass my call to a specialist in the store (Tim). Tim explained the danger of working with old paint and the options to me. Even though I had done my research and what Tim said was nothing new to me. None of the 5 – 6 stores I called before had said anything about old paint. This really set Kelly-​Moore Vallejo apart from the rest.
I did not buy anything from them, this review is about the service and training of this store.

I have to say we are so happy with the customer service here! We just had to purchase interior and exterior paint for our entire house due to an accident. They were so thorough and patient while I matched colors.
They called promptly to let me know when the order was ready!
Stellar, Nick and the sales manager really took care of us!

The only place we buy paint! My dad once told me when it comes to paint, you get what you pay for. He’s right. And Kelly-​Moore paint is really, really great quality. It goes on the walls just like butter. The only beef I have with this particular location is they have some younger staff who don’t have the greatest customer service skills. Head straight for one of the older, more knowledgeble staff if you can.
