I sit here in the booth writing this review and Im thinking that, why is it that I am always coming back here? Well let me explain, the food is great, the employees are always great. So why is the food great? Well let me tell you, it is made with love. Even though I ask for different variations of things such as a bowl of half menudo and pozole. Might as well have the best of both worlds. The Micheladas are always perfect. Ive been to places before where they just suck. But this place here, know what to put in it and how to blend it. And lastly, I am always greeted with a smile as well as everyone else and treated like a vip. All customers are treated this way.

After driving by this restaurant for the last few years, we finally stopped by for a quick dinner when the power went out at our house. We were very happy with the food and service, the portions were huge and the main courses were very good. The down side was the chips that were given to us were not that fresh and they don’t have a full bar, I was craving a margarita but had to settle for a cold beer. We will be going back, the prices were very reasonable and the service was very good.

Return trip and the michelada was even BETTER than the first one I had. This is seriously a diamond in the rough, and I keep telling my friends to go there– it’s that good.

I came here with my family one Sunday after noon. I always pass by and wondered how the food was so when my family decided they wanted to try I tagged along. Well let me start by saying customer service is a huge deal to me. Even if I don’t like the food I’m willing to give a place a second chance a lot of time if their customer service is on point. They were quick to greet us and take care of us. If I was basing this review off the service it would be 5 stars. However I didn’t care for the food. It did take a while to cook which I don’t mind if it’s good. However it was pretty bland to me. I do however love the set up and the water jugs. Should they improve the food the would be great.

Microwaves. 2 of them to be exact Made by amana. First thing you see when you walk in. And the last thing you remamber when you leave. Sadly. The place is clean but horrible food. Everything microwaved. They were dinging non stop. Dualing microwaves. Lol. Kinda like a live episode of kitchen nightmares. Check out the size of their super burrito. See attached pix By the way. The tiny burrito was sooo badly microwaved. It was hardly edible. Almost chewy. When i showed the young girl working there the burrito. She never offered to replace it. Said thats how their burritos are. Dont remember her name. But a young gal wearing way too much make up… all i remember about her. Ps. Their Salsa is sooo damm hot. Forget about eating it unless you have first hand experience with a 64 chevy. Ijs !

SO happy to write a review now that I heard there was some change in management, AND a rosemary chicken enchilada on the menu. I cannot be alone in that, when I go out, I want to try something that is interesting I can’t just whip up at home real easy, or grab at Taco Bell. Rosemary Chicken enchiladas had me dying to try… they had a red sauce with a nice hot kick to it. I would have never thought to do rosemary chicken enchiladas but it is now a new love! It added a subtle sweet yet savory infused flavor that I will probably be going back for over and over. The black beans came simple and non fussed. Spot on! The entire platter was not greasy at all, love it!

Delicious, authentic Mexican food. The place is very clean and well kept. I will for sure be back for the amazing black beans and verse sauce and food in general. Also be prepared for huge portions! Loved this place.

We have tried different Mexican restaurants in the Vallejo/Benecia area. Sandovals, Randy’s, Chevy’s– are the biggies, over the last 2 years– none of these were anything to write home about. They were lacking any real character… may as well go to Taco Bell– or worse, but Hacienda De Valle gets it. Here is Mexican food cooked with care and commitment– the spices are wonderful– and pretty hot… but more than that– the flavors remind me of a Mexican Restaurant my family used to love in Fremont. Wonderful, exciting, traditional food cooked by folks who know how to cook– and are not afraid to use chilies, bell peppers, avocados, onions, and lots of great tasting chicken. The prices are more than affordable. Soft tacos with chicken, lots of veggies, and guacamole? Two bucks. Fajitas,(one dinner is enough for 2 hearty eaters) including tortillas, rice, beans– 13.00 bucks.

The name has changed. The food was horrible. We could not even eat it. The service was no better. The refried beans tasted scorched. The carne asada was dry, old and over cooked. The rice was crunchy and dry. The enchiladas sauce was red but tasted like oil. My daughter has been on the toilet since we got home. I have never Unilocaled before but it was that bad that I felt like I had to save someone else from wasting money and probably a trip the the E.R. no wonder they keep changing he business name. Never again! Gross!

Business was under new management. When I was younger I’d eaten at some great hole in the wall places in Vallejo, so I decided to go with my kids and try this one. Food was nothing spectacular but my dish was un edible. My dish was a weekend special aguachile. It was served without tostada she’ll, chips or crackers. the shrimp and onions were not cooked in lime juice. Actually the onions were raw. At first bite I was on fire. I downed 2 glasses of water and started sucking on the ice and eating from the basket of chips to help me. My lips were red and swollen and on fire. I pushed the plate out of my way and when asked is everything ok by the waitress, I said I can’t eat this it’s too hot, she said yes it is and kept on with her work. Basically I knew it was going to be spicy but not that spicy I told them I should not have to pay for it. Both waitresses had no compassion for me. They didn’t offer to change my food. They didn’t offer to remove it from the bill. They just looked at me. I asked them to call the manager which they quickly came back I had to pay. So needless to say the service sucked. The food that was edible was average too.

Place is bright, inviting and clean. Place used to be an old IHOP a few years backand there is ample parking in front. Came in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There were a few patrons and atmosphere was pretty relaxed. Husband ordered a steak torta and I ordered a chicken taco salad. Both dishes were well prepared and tasty. Service was efficient and friendly. Prices were reasonable. Will be returning to try their breakfasts.

This place is called Taqueria en Valle now. Food is great! I like that I can call ahead and have to-go orders started.
