The Habit Burger Grill

I love the habit. I have been ordering their veggie burgers since before I was even a vegetarian. That’s how good they are. Their fries are amazing. My mom and I actually crave their fries and will go in and just order fries for a snack. The service is always great and I will never stop coming here

The food is always good here. The albacore tuna filet was terrific!
Great service, and extremely clean. Will definitely come back.

This one is for the vegetarians out there.
First off, I can’t believe how many five star reviews there are for this place. It’s so misleading. I ordered a veggie burger and a side of fries. I personally get veggie burgers because I actually like the taste of a portobello mushroom or a quinoa patty. I don’t get veggie burgers to experience fake soybean meat flavor. I’m sorry this is just gross. If you’re the type of vegetarian that buys fake bacon, then maybe this is for you, but in the past I have had awesome quinoa burgers or portobello mushroom burgers and the reason they taste so good is because they’re trying to be something their not. I hate fake meat. And aside from the veggie burger, my fries turned hard after five minutes. I actually ended up throwing them out! The taste of hard, dry fries is disgusting. Clearly the fries have been frozen for an extended period of time. There are better options out there. I definitely will not be coming back here.

I love cheeseburgers. I love burgers with grilled pineapple included. I like a great salad when I have had my fill of burgers. I love a GREAT milkshake made with real ice cream. This place was walking distance of my daughter’s condo, so I visited it a lot. I usually ate here and than got take-​away for the rest at the condo – daughter-​unit is recovering from presenting me with a grandson-​unit and required take-​away.
They offered three different peppers as condiments. I sampled all three and only the jalapeño was mild enough for me to eat easily. Wow!

In each visit I’ve had here, the service has been superior — worthy of comparison to Trader Joe’s care for their customers. The employees really go out of their way to make sure you’re happy. I always feel so special here!
The food is always delicious. Dare I say their burgers are more filling and luscious than In N Out? They’re definitely meatier and include more vegetables. Plus they have those amazing tempura green bean fries! My friend says people who love In N Out just don’t know about The Habit. I’m okay with that… the shorter the lines, the better (for me)!
My family and I have developed a real habit of coming here (sorry, I know. I had to)… but honestly, give this place a try. The food is amazing, the staff is kind… It’s a no brainer.

Food is consistently delicious, service fast & friendly. It’s my goto spot! Not much else to say…

I USE to love eating here that’s why I am giving it 3 stars. Their food is great! I love their Tri-​tip sandwich it’s my usual along with some amazing onion rings (they are without a doubt the best onion rings out there) oh don’t forget their homemade ranch and a large strawberry limeade. Their cashiers are always so welcoming and friendly I’ve never had any problems with any employee there. Until a couple of weeks ago that has stopped me from going back. Like I said i always get the Tri-​tip this time it was a little too over cooked for my preference. I politely went back up to the counter and asked a thin, dark haired (about 5’6″) «manager» if I could please have it medium. She YANKED the plate out of my hand and aggressively threw the sandwich in the trash, ROLLED her eyes murmured something to the cooks and turned her back to me. I was standing there for minute, while she was slouching over the counter on her cell PHONE talking to the cooks. I was in disbelief. A younger female manager (5’5″) brown hair approached me
from the dinning room area and very politely asked if I needed some help. As soon as I was beginning to explain to her the other «manager» turned around inturupted her coworker very rudely and said to me «Sir I said I’ll bring it to your table!!!» the younger manager apologized and told me she would personally bring it to me as soon as it was ready. I can’t believe that a «manager» would talk to a coworker and a paying customer like that. You can tell she dislikes her job. Maybe when they fire her for her horrible customer service I will be able to go back and enjoy another amazing Tri-​tip sandwich. Till then she needs to learn some manners and some customer service from her peers.

We LOVE The Habit. Always, consistently, great food; delicious everytime! I just tried their new walnut-​cranberry chicken salad @ the McBean store. EXCELLENT! I had tried it once before & shared with the McBean Manager, Tatie, that I had found it «lacking» in flavor & ingredients. She explained to me that it’s a brand new menu item & they are still «tweeking it». (My words, not Tatie’s.) The McBean Habit had bigger chunks of the cheese, a few more cranberries & a tad more dressing. Tatie was correct — a bit more expertise resulted in a fantastic salad!
Talking about Tatie, she & EVERY person that works in the HABIT in the Santa Clarita Valley, is professional, personable & enjoyable. Tatie, when talking with my husband & I, referred to us, & other customers, as the HABIT «family». Quite a compliment to guests of the HABIT. And we feel the same about the HABIT’S warm employees.

Had the pastrami sammich, oh so amazing! I am a foodie so I have some high standards when it comes to quality and perfection with my food. There are some good places to eat at when it comes to pastrami, the habit lived up to my standards. The fries were pretty good, a couple soggy ones but the majority were on point. Washed all this food down with the classic iced tea. Overall not bad at all, glad I came here after this trip to Six Flags. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Worst customer service from a supervisor. Went in and ordered food. When I received my order, I checked the meat and it was not cooked all the way through. Went back up to the counter and told the supervisor/​manager about it. He said that was the way they make it. I told him that it was still raw and not cooked. He looked at me like there was nothing he could do. They gave the worst customer service there. I had to verbally fight the manager to remake the food. Probably the last time I will go to this location. That guy needs to be removed. He wouldn’t even give me his name. Very shady.

I heard a while back that the Habit was voted best burger in California, but never got around to trying it until just recently. Best burger is a bold statement, but it was definitely one of the better ones I have tried. The fries are good too, and their chocolate shake did not disappoint.
The place was clean, and the service was great. I ended up ordering twice — once for the burger/​fries, and the second time for the shake — and both experiences were quick and pleasant. Both Maddi and Emily were friendly and professional, and great hires on the part of management.
I definitely plan to return, especially since they open a little earlier than most lunch spots (10:30am when I stopped in). I would give them 4.5 stars overall, and highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

really horrible customer service… my boyfriend and I come in and the cashier Paige I guess was supposed to be off not a single smile and totally faking the «nice» customer service… and the guy who gave us our food was like trying to rush us out or something he showed one of the salads but didn’t show us the other so when I tried to inspect it, my boyfriend has asked for extra sauce, so who ever that guy was just shoved the bbq sauce while I was trying to look at the other food item. RUDE! I’ll definitely not be coming back to this location. sorry your guys’ job is that hard coming from someone who worked in the food industry too.

The Habit quite simply is the best burger around. Oh sure there is plenty of other places to get a burger, some very good ones as well.
The thing about it is that you get fresh, made to order lunch or dinner that taste like a little slice of cow heaven.
My personal favorite is the double char with cheese.

After a long day at Six Flags (they closed at 6 on this particular occasion)…the kids and i were famished. They wanted burgers… i wanted a salad… in-​n-​out is right next to our hotel but no salad there… so Habit Burger is where we needed to go. I knew of another habit burger in the area that we had been to last month… but this location was closer to our hotel… so went in search of it… using my Unilocal app =) yay!
it’s in a strip mall… easy enough to find. but my gps took me quite a bit past it and i had to turn around.
very little inside seating so we picked some seats outside under the heat lamps… it was FRIGGIN COLD outside. The heat lamps were sufficient for hubby and kids… i was still freezing. food came out fast… workers circulated and offered refills on our drinks throughout our meal… they cleared our table too. can’t complain, great service and fresh reliable food at fast food prices!

My salad was Amazing by the way! first time i actually got a salad. I always say i want one but a basic cheeseburger is just so good… i always change my mind. Glad i didn’t change it this time =) yum yum

Gave the phone order a second try. This experience was much better! Full thumbs up.
Completely different experience this time around. Everyone was polite and attentive.

At 2 minutes to closing the staff graciously accepted our business with a group of 9 people!

Sadly I never use Unilocal unless the place is extremely good or absolutely terrible… this is based on Tatianas unexpectedly rude customer service.
I come here probably twice a week and have NEVER experienced such terrible customer service.
They gave me the wrong sand which on my last order two days ago (tatiana was not even working never seen her at this location before)
I just told her what happened and she said that I order double chicken on my sandwich and its not her fault. What the f**k does ordering double chicken have to do with giving me the wrong order? She wouldn’t even respond to me and pulled her phone out to text someone as she walked away. How the hell is this girl a manager??? Everyone that works at this location is super friendly and awesome I dont see her fitting in. She should be working for McDeath or BurgerKing.
I pay 10 $ for a chicken sandwich… and i expect it to come out correctly and not be questioned about my order.

Needed a quick tasty bite that was above «fast food» grade quality.
The Habit is well run because they are efficient and the consistency of customer service is excellent. There is ample seating inside and on the patio area outside.
The staff are constantly cleaning and maintain the restaurant quite well.
I do recommend calling in orders to save time.
Lauren the manager and Lori my favorite cashier go above and beyond what I would expect and I will be back again soon!

I lived up the street from the habit and would walk over if I was craving fries and a shake. Reasonably priced and good eats — I’d come here more than in-​n-​out because it’s less hectic and congested.
I love the chicken club sandwich, esp it being on sourdough bread and avocado, yes please. Try the sweet potato fries, they’re pretty good.
