First time here! Sooooo good. I ordered the chicken verde and I must say that’s the best Mexican dish I’ve ever tried! It was perfect. A little spice but the best ever ! I will def come here over and over and over again. And the service was great :)

Loved this place!!! After a long, hot day at Magic Mountain we stopped here with three kids in tow(after checking Unilocal and confirming that they had space for us) for some good Mexican food and were excited that everyone else was right, the food here was delicious. Even better, our server Irene is easily in the top 5 of servers we’ve ever had! EVER! She made excellent suggestions, was attentive, but not too attentive, and very pleasant to talk to. PLUS! They had an excellent musician performing today adding to the ambiance of the place. We will definitely be back and suggest you go too, and strongly suggest that you ask for Irene! P. S. At Irene’s suggestion my sweetheart added two beef ribs to his meal, she said they were excellent and she was right. Yum!

Shrimp cocktail was awful. I’m not sure there was even any shrimp. It should have contained whole Mexican shrimp not a bowl of shrimp diced so fine you couldn’t even taste them. The corn and spicy beans were delicious. My friend had the ceviche and said she couldn’t find any fish. Doubt I will go back anytime soon. Learn how to make a real shrimp cocktail!

First… and probably last time here. Completely underwhelmed. Ordered the lunch«famous» chicken taquitos which had absolutely no flavor and hardly any chicken. I have honestly had better chicken taquitos(homemade) from a roach coach where I used to work in Culver City… for half the price. Service was good. Glad I only paid the lunch price for the taquitos!

Went on a date night here on a nice warm evening to grab some food and good times. I’ve heard good things about Solita so I was looking forward to trying it out. Well let’s start with the food and work from there. We ordered the Chicken Burrito, Corn Elote, and Carne Asada Tacos oh and some drinks which I get to. The Corn Elote was nice. A fresh corn on the cob with onions, spices and chipotle sauce. Slight heat on it but very tasty. The carne asada tacos looked really good. My chicken burrito looked impressive when served. However I was a little disappointed when I cut in and had to dig to find the cubed up chicken. There was lots and lots of black beans and rice with sauce in the burrito but not nearly enough chicken. It was filling but I feel a bit cheated of the chicken. Also I ordered fried beans on the side and got more black beans — sigh. Ok the drinks. We ordered up a regular margarita and a watermelon. Both looked great, both were pretty sweet. My watermelon margarita was pretty tame and tasted a bit syrupy. I never really felt anything if there was tequila in it. But it was hot out and the cold drink was refreshing. Believe me we were making the best of it. I really wanted to like this place but here was my rub. The food was just ok compared to another great mexican restaurant up the road. Need more quality ingredients in the entrees not just filler side items. Drinks were sweet and weak. Service was mediocre. The order was wrong with the beans and we had a coupon given to us from a manager on a previous visit for the free corn which our waiter forgot to credit on our bill. Atmosphere was nice with the décor and open doors to the outside. Oh and the biggest warning for you Unilocalers is if you want to sit outside — DONOT get seated in the back towards the mall on the patio. There were sooo many flies. Not just flying around but also just sitting on the walls, cushions, awnings… everywhere. I heard the couple next to us commenting too about how gross it was. Perhaps a bug zapper in outside the patio would be a good idea. We wanted to enjoy the warm evening but ended up in a swat fest when we had to try and eat. Good thing I had such good company or these pests would have ruined the entire experience. We did make the best of it but this place has a lot of room for improvement IMHO.

We love going there for Happy Hour, not because of the drinks(we don’t) but for the food! Crispy Fish Tacos(soft tacos with crispy fish), shredded pork tacos, chorizo/sweet potato/bacon soft tacos, and the excellent«Elote”– grilled corn-on-the-cob with chipotle mayo– a delicious delicacy(and they cut it off the cob for you unless you prefer it on.) Very decent prices and definitely a festival of flavors. Beautiful setting indoor and out. They have live music some nights. Highly recommended. (Also thanks to server Tony… great guy, attentive, fun, good attitude, willing to please and fulfill specific requests as much as possible. Ask for his section!)

I came here while on a business trip, having been referred to this by a local as delicious«authentic» Mexican food. It was everything but that for me. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which was extremely oily, and the chicken did not taste like chicken. While the portions were large the quality was lacking. The only part of the meal I enjoyed was the rice.

My cousin wanted to eat at this place so I called ahead and they affirmed they had a few vegan options! Upon arrival I noticed the place was modern and clean. I ordered some tofu tacos with rice and black beans. My plate was made vegan for me with no cheese or dairy added. The tacos were very delicious! My only complaint is that they were small. Everything was tasty. I hope to be back soon. PS, I loved that they were open late since we stayed nearly until close.(11pm on a Sunday)

So solita has some BOMB salsa they make in house. Seriously. It’s delicious. I could make an entire meal out of the chips and salsa. The food is good, but not the best. I usually get the fish tacos– or some sort of shrimp dish. The Cole slaw side is really good, as are the beans and rice they serve. The venue is nice for large parties and those wanting a more open space. They have a nice outdoor seating patio with nice televisions as well.

Came in Sunday to change up our usual. lazy Sunday routine and were greeted by the manager and staff .they sat us down by the entrance and I really liked the décor it reminded of a Mexican hacienda with urban touch… our waiter was very attentive from start to finish .We started out with a delicious corn in an awesome presentation and watermelon… the chips warm and the salsa spicy and flavorful… next we began with our guava and mimosas… by this time we are relaxed and enjoying our time our food and drink .next they brought us two delicious Mexican breakfasts …= delightfulgreat experience of food attention and quality time with my bf

Basically the food is on the bland side but the bar drinks are amazing. It pains me to give this place 3 stars because the service was so friendly! Although we arrived 30 mins early for happy hour and decided to leave and come back a manager said to go ahead and stay and she would honor the HH menu. I got happy hour flautas and guacamole, thankfully the flautas had a dipping sauce and we had the salsa from the chips because they certainly lacked flavor same as the guacamole, we had to ask for the salt shaker. Even the ladies seated next to us borrowed the salt for their guac too which means we weren’t alone! Guac NEEDS to be done right at a Mexican restaurant. I can tell you the albondiga soup was flavorful and on the fancier side. Loved the Mexican flag margarita as well and the pitcher of margarita to spilt. Will be back for drinks and soup!

If you’re looking for Authentic Mexican food, look elsewhere. It’s very El Torito-ish. Be cautious of the 5 star reviews and highly consider the lower ratings regarding the food. Even though they gave our take out order to someone else, I have no complaints about the service as they were very nice and apologetic. What I ordered: 4 Taco sampler with a side of Black Bean mash. The black bean mash was BLAND. I don’t recommend it. Normally, they top ALL the tacos with this green guacamole sauce. It DOESNOT go well with the tacos and I personally thought it was terrible. My advice would be to get that on the side. — Crispy shrimp taco: this was good but not great. It comes with a «secret» tartar sauce. I’ll let the secret out of the bag, get it on the side because it’s nothing spectacular –Carne Asada Tacos(2): this was also decent but it definitely needed some more flavors. The smokey taste was a nice touch though. — Borracho: this one was my least favorite. I hardly remember eating it. I don’t recommend it. To put it simply, these tacos are boring. They don’t even put onions or cilantro in the tacos. It’s just tortilla, meat and sauce. The lack of flavors is a huge disappointment and it tastes nothing like authentic Mexican food. The biggest positive was the red salsa that comes with the chips which was outstanding. Unfortunately, the chips taste store bought.

Can’t expect too much from a Mexican restaurant at the mall. The best thing here was the taco Tuesday menu. The all star the Don Julio 1942 was on special for only 12 $ a pour. And for some strange reason it didn’t taste like the real 1942 but I didn’t want to fight and test the knowledge of the staff. Food was mediocre in taste and presentation. I would only come back for some tacos and the all mighty Don Julio, if it comes from the unopened bottle. Sabor at Bridgeport is the real deal for your authentic Mexican cuisine.

One star or less today unfortunately for them. Won’t be surprised I give this place 6 months till they closure. First time I went to a «Mexican» restaurant with none of them working. Not even their white cousins In end came here due to a coupon my wife found. I have a multimillion dollar home and car collection and the wife came here for a coupon bad choice Hun. We got our seat was quickly greeted then it slowed down after that. Service was not as expected for the area and price range. Wife asked what was the difference between the red and green sauce for her food, waitress gave a poor answer, just say you don’t know and will ask the Mexican chef Tacos had no flavor got the 4 taco sampler; fish, shrimp, chicken and steak. They all tasted the same because the put green crap on top. Oh yea got the free chips and salsa during dessert. Better off going to rubios or a taco stand next to Hong Kong in Tijuana Good eating

Great date spot for Santa Clarita. Every once in awhile, I need to spend time with my honey so I’m always looking for a grown up place. Solita is that place. Of course I tried the beef tacos and they were just as good as I expected. The décor and layout is perfect for date night and drinks. Best part is that they have a valet parking station right in front of the restaurant so get there early before they fill up. If you Über, even better. So dress sexy and get out there.

I visited Solita for lunch because of their above average Unilocal rating. I asked for recommendation and I was told to get the sampler taco plate for $ 15. At $ 15 for tacos, I better get some amazing tacos. I walked in and it felt like a chain restaurant. There’s another location in Huntington Beach, so I’m not sure if it qualifies to be a chain restaurant, but it sure felt like it. Now on to the food. I didn’t really enjoy the tacos I tried, considering taste and also the price. It’s probably because I’ve had some delicious tacos over and over again for $ 1 in Los Angeles. I didn’t like the flavors of the carnitas and grilled fish taco. This place is expensive for what it is. It’s definitely not B.S. Taqueria or Petty Cash Taqueria, where I would happily pay more for their upscale tacos. I even enjoyed the less expensive, fancy tacos I had last night at Cascabel in Toluca Lake. Probably the best thing about the sampler were the better than average tortillas. To be honest, I’d rather eat at nearby Sharky’s in the mall food court than this.

Um. No thanks. I was absolutely underwhelmed with my dining experience. While the décor + ambiance is great, the food and drinks fell belowww average. Food was served before our drinks and probably no more than 10 mins from when we put in our order, I assumed our meals would be piping hot but the food tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp, bleh. My fish tacos were battered, but let me confess to you: there is nothing special about this entrée my friends. The shrimp reminded me of the kind they serve up at Panda Express, except more bland. and not hot(temperature-wise). Zzzzz. boriiing. And the side of rice and beans were mediocre…(btw my insides are crying right about now). The fish fajitas, oh snap! — I thought for sure this entrée would be more appetizing, but unsurprisingly the journey of disappointment continued, and tasted almost worst, but definitely just as bad as the shrimp tacos. The fish didn’t taste fresh, you could really detect it was sitting in the freezer for quite some time. Ohhh the agony! I had to send back the watermelon margarita because honestly, it wasn’t good. at all. I usually bite the bullet and put my big girl panties on when I don’t like a drink, but this one was undeniably bad. Maybe I got a bad batch or a lazy bartender last night, who knows? Whatever the case may be, skip it or consider yourself forewarned. The sunny side to this shady affair was our server was average at best and the grilled corn elote was the only superstar of the night. Even then I don’t think I’d be craving this item that bad to do a repeat visit. Fill up on the chips and salsa, probably better than most items. Anywaaay. I’m not super price-conscious, if the food is good I am down to splurge, however, as we walked back to the car I found myself rattling off all the other places I could have happily ate at for much cheaper. Fish fajitas, shrimp tacos, margarita sampler and two corn elotes: $ 57 down the drain. Solita Tacos: pretty face but no taste. Foodie fail, waste of a date night. Shoot me, shoot me now.
