Dr Tran is patient. He takes his time to explain every option. The first appointment he spent 45 minutes with me. I didn’t feel rushed. I left feeling knowledgeable.
I didn’t feel pressured.
I scheduled my appointment was very happy.

My 16 year old son accidentally cut a tendon on his left thumb while on a camping trip. We went to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Emergency room and were admitted immediately and Dr. Tran did the surgery first thing in the morning. My son came out of surgery with his tendon repaired. That didn’t stop him from subsequently rupturing the sutures and damaging the repair within a week of having surgery. We had to have a second surgery, outpatient, at Henry Mayo Newhall, and it was again a success.
Dr. Tran was very concerned and very compassionate. I could sense the empathy he felt for me as well as for my son. It has been a month and a half since the second surgery and my son is now in physical therapy and is able to move his thumb. We still have some healing to do and continued PT, but we couldn’t have gotten through this without Dr. Paul Tran. I thought my son would lose all mobility in his thumb, or suffer some great infection. None of those things have come to pass and in fact, I don’t believe I could have asked for a better result after two surgeries.
Thank you Dr. Tran. His staff have also been unbelievably patient, kind and thorough. They have worked with me through a very difficult time and helped me to find some comfort in knowing that my son was and is, in good hands.
