I thought this was a cute place with the country style décor. The staff was extremely friendly and great customer service. I got the healthy option Vera Cruz Chicken and Avocado omelet. The French vanilla iced coffee was ok, tasted like it came from the grocery store. The omelet was good but the texture with the ground chicken was eh. Fruit bowl and the English muffin were good. It was the perfect size where I didn’t have to take leftovers with me.

The food was pretty good. I asked for extra butter with my English Muffins and didn’t recieve it. 3 pieces of bacon for 3.49, for that price I could’ve bought a pound. I guess that was what really bugged me was portioning versus the price.

Such a nice and clean restaurant. The service was friendly, attentive and always checking to see if everything was okay. The food was excellent! Hot, very tasty, ample portions. It’s one of the nicest places in town for a «classy» breakfast/lunch. Yes-prices are a bit more than other breakfast chains-but, you get a higher level of service/quality. I would recommend The Egg & I to friends. Ask for a military discount

I’ve eaten at a number of «The Egg & I» restaurants around the country, this brand is definitely an upgrade over the other breakfast chain restaurants that seemly have been around for centuries, with the kids eat free promotions, the all-day breakfast menu, etc, etc, etc. I don’t know about you but anytime I find an upgrade of any kind I expect to pay for it and The Egg & I is no exception, I’ve found the average breakfast cost between 20% — 40% more, conservatively speaking. With this extra expense you can expect a better quality product or should I say a more modern and creative selection, on second thought there are only so many ways to cook an egg, fry bacon, or toast toast — the extras come in a variety of other ways that sets this restaurant apart, the staff here was outstanding and very attentive, the food was served warm and assembled on the plate not thrown on the plate, the restaurant was very clean, the customer base seems a little elevated if I can say that without sounding pretentious. Although it’s quite a jog off I-75 it’s definitely worth passing on the country store or the eggs over my hammy if want a little more upscale dining experience.

This restaurant’s food is delicious! My family and some friends came here today and ordered breakfast and lunch items. I had the limited– time California Dreamin’ coconut pineapple pancakes with bacon and ranch potatoes(my substitute for eggs) on the side. My husband ordered the California Dreamin’ avocado egg scramble. Others at the table ordered the chicken bacon avocado sandwich and crab cakes benedict. Everyone raved about their own food. I tried others and agreed that they were equally as delicious as mine. Everyone from the hostess to the manager is a delight — very friendly, cheerful and hospitable. Felt like we were at home. Our server was Lindsey and she was just excellent. If you’re in the area or driving through, be sure to stop by! It’s near Valdosta State University. UPDATE: Ate here again with family and we had the raspberry pancake, chicken bacon sandwich, french toast and Wisconsin scramble, grits and ranch potatoes. The raspberry pancakes was good with yogurt and syrup. I wouldn’t recommend it with just the yogurt. Eggs were nicely seasoned and the bacon just right. I didn’t care for the grits but when some people had them yesterday they said they were good so maybe it’s hit or miss or just their preference. Tasted grainy to me. The ranch potatoes weren’t as good and crisp as yesterday. We didn’t care for the french toast but we still ate it. My husband liked the chicken apple sandwich but it was OK to me. Now, the big surprise for me was the Wisconsin scramble — wow loads of flavor! The cheese selection is JUSTRIGHT. Man. That may be my favorite dish now. Who knew simplicity could taste so great. Our server, Kevin, was phenomenal. Funny, charismatic, attentive and definitely has manager potential. We’d still recommend this place and will be back asap!

I’m so glad that I found out about this place! Thanks to a few reviews from friends and from fellow Unilocalers, I finally decided to try this place out a few weeks ago. NOTE: I think that I should state that I have only dined with them twice and that both times, I have ordered my food to go. Once I dine in, I will be sure to update my review. Both times I ordered the Parisian Benedict. The flavors of this dish matched with perfectly poached eggs, ranch potatoes and the house sauce(tbh, I don’t know what the sauce is, all I know is that it is wonderful!) combine to form a perfect meal! As far as the service goes, both times I have called and placed an order, The Egg & I has had excellent customer service. I am excited to dine in and try their seasonal waffles before Autumn is over!

Great restaurant and staff. It was a great experience. The waitress that served us was informative and smart… impressed us with her ability to speak 4 languages. The coffee they served us before our food was the perfect temperature, and the food came out quick. The Texas fillet that I ordered was amazing! It was so filling and cooked perfectly. The rest of the people with me were just as satisfied. We were in a bit of A rush, and the waitress realized that and made our experience quick and pleasant. Thank you Egg!

This will be a very simplistic review. As is the egg! The staff at the Egg and I, there wonderful. The food at the Egg and I excellent. The owner delightful. The egg in itself is simplistic, it is liquid chicken if you think about it. However the egg and I they can make eggs into a beautiful thing. A must try!

Happy Father’s Day to me. This place is definitely special occasion worthy. We drove pass 2 ihops to make it here and it was well worth it. The server accidentally sent the wrong omelet and it was so go that we didn’t want to return it but glad we did because our omelet was just as good. The service was really good. Definitely would come back and eat here again.

Went here for Mother’s Day brunch, was expecting a long wait-but it only took 10 min to be seated. I had the cambridge skillet, and it was great. I love the seasoning on the ranch potatoes. Eggs were perfectly cooked. The service was very friendly. Will definitely be back the next time I am in Valdosta.

I haven’t had a sub-par dish here yet. It’s my favorite spot to have a brunch date with friends. The service is super fast and there are a ton of options on their menu. The waitstaff is very pleasant and attentive. I wish they were open for more of the day because I often find myself wishing I could go after they’ve closed for the day. Not a bad problem to have for them though, I guess.

My boyfriend and I come here on a weekly basis and some of the servers know our order by heart haha. I get the(ENORMOUS) apple cinnamon pancake with scrambled whites and chicken sausage and he usually gets the huevos rancheros which are both fantastic every single time we come.(So are the ranch potatoes!) Friendly staff+ attentive owner+ consistently great food= GREAT restaurant. Our favorite Valdosta breakfast spot! :)

Very popular breakfast restaurant that fills up quick, particularly on Sunday mornings. The service is great. The owner personally brings you your order sometimes, and all the servers are attentive and nice. But this place falls short on value; at the end of the day, I simply do not think the food is worth the price. Food was decent but not great. For an omelet, potatoes, and an English muffin– $ 9.29. And for some eggs w guacamole and wrap– $ 8.79.(See pictures of Vera Cruz and Santa Fe). I asked for some more guacamole. They gave me a tiny bowl more, and I later found out that they charged me $ 1.56 for it. Small cup of cranberry juice? $ 2.59. So the total with tax and tip came out to almost $ 30 for a bfast for two. So overall, a good place to visit once or twice. But probably not regularly.

I went to The Egg & I with my sister this afternoon around 12:30. We were seated immediately although others had to wait about 5 – 10 minutes to sit inside. We took an outside table and the weather was great and it was much less chaotic compared to the busy crowded dining room. Despite how busy they were we wear greeted quickly by Jordan and got our drinks fast. One of our friends decided to join us after we sat down and we asked the manager if his food could possibly get rushed to come out with ours. The food all came out together and tasted amazing. The Ruben is my favorite menu item and the Strawberry Banana Walnut Waffle is delicious too. We’re always pleased with the food and service at The Egg & I and I recommend it to anyone looking for an impressive breakfast experience.

My first time at this chain, I thought it was a Georgia thing but came home to find there’s one here in Orlando at Sodo — who knew? This place serves up a tasty breakfast — I love a breakfast place that has an entire little boxed section of types of huevos rancheros — what goes better with breakfast than beans I say!!!

I had a very good first experience here for breakfast– mostly all due to my fantastic server, Kaitlin. She is an amazing waitress that every human being should strive to be. Upbeat, attentive, knowledgeable, super nice and talkative– all smiles. I ordered the Mexican omelette which was pretty good and portion size was enough for two. Service was super quick. I’ll start coming here on my weekends more often.
