Here is what WILL be my last update on Nationwide because I would rather have a root canal with no drugs than to deal with these people any longer. After not getting the promised 9:30am call on Thurs to tell me when the servicemen would be here, I called them at 10:30 and got the«its raining so we didnt call anybody since the guy is running late» BS. How stupid do they think we are? ITSRAINING? LOL!!! The OWNER of the company then asked me «how would YOU like to move washers and dryers on dollies in the rain all day?». Yeah, he’s just as warm, friendly and helpful as the other 2 ladies I’ve had to deal with in the past. I honestly don’t know which of the 3 are the most rude and unprofessional(and one has the WORST grammar I’ve heard in years). So, I called them at 5:28pm after waiting ALLLLLLLL day for the promised service person. I knew they were about to close b/c I had made the mistake before of waiting until they closed before and nobody showed up at all that day. So, I get a call at 9:00PM at night… yes, like after dinner and little kids are in bed 9PM. It was the serviceman. He was very cordial and apologetic about it being so late. I asked if he was the same one I had spoken to earlier and he said«no”(I didnt think it was but wanted to be sure). He did get to my house and was extremely nice and helpful. He switched my non-wotking washer that had been serviced 4 times for the SAMEPROBLEM by Nationwide(4 days I had to stay at home and wait for them… actually 5 days if you count the first one where nobody showed up). I told him I was sorry he was so nice and obviously hard-working and was stuck working for such rude, disrespectful people who are going to chock the life out of whatever business they may still have. He needs to start looking for a new job asap b/c Nationwide wont last, especially in this economy. If you cant even scrape up the manners to just be nice and to do what you say you’re going to do, you are not going to be able to compete with the impersonal big box stores. At least with the box stores, I can get to SOMEBODY at the top who actually cares and wants my business. Forget that happening with Nationwide. It is a family owned and operated biz for the most part so complaining to the“top» will NOT do any good unless you enjoy being berated by the person you just gave a few hundred dollars to. Not a favorite pastime for me. We wont be back and counting THIS site, I believe I’m up to 5 review websites that local Valdosta ppl use letting everyone know exactly how Nationwide has treated us. Also, the word of mouth will spread as we are both in the service biz and see lots of ppl each day and love giving heads up on where to go for good service and where to avoid… like the plague. Nationwide’s service is the plague.

I was in need of a washer and was fully planning on buying one new when I saw some ads on Craigslist for Nationwide Appliances. I figured if I could get a good used one I’d save money. I dropped by and spoke with John who was incredibly knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. I immediately went home and got the other half to come look. We found a set we liked which was going to cost roughly the same we were going to pay for just a washer so we immediately bought it. We purchased on a Thursday and please keep in mind that we literally live less than a quarter mile away. John said he would have it delivered Monday(they needed to clean it up) so we excitedly waited patiently until Monday. When 4 pm rolled around we called to check on the delivery and the girl who answered assured us they were running late but would be here. Around 6 we called back and they had closed and turned their ringer off. No washer Monday. So Tuesday we call and they say the washer is actually not working and they are waiting on a part but should have it to us Wednesday, we are disappointed but ok. Come Wednesday they call to say the part did not come in and they will have it to us Thursday. This is the first call they have given us, they did not call as we were waiting around on Monday or Tuesday for a set that was not only not being delivered but did not even run. So Thursday rolls around, we call in the morning and they say it will be an afternoon delivery somewhere around 2−4pm. Come 5 we call and are told that due to rain they are running behind schedule(I’ve heard this before but silly me believe they wouldn’t lie to us twice.) 5:30 comes around and I call again. The same lady tells me that they will assuredly deliver to us today that they will deliver until all deliveries are complete. I made sure to point out we’d heard this before but she assured us it would arrive. Now once again 6 rolls around so we cannot get ahold of anyone and have no washer or dryer. Once again as literally live a quarter mile from their store and they have lied to us twice at least. How can they have even said we would definitely get delivery Monday when the unit didn’t even work and therefore vould not have even been on the delivery truck?! At what point is this just plain theft? It is now 7:30pm and if I do not have a set tonight I will drop by in the morning and demand my money back. We are very understanding and we really, really liked the set but at this point the purchase has been ruined in my mind. Not to mention we purchased an extra year warranty… if the service is this bad just to get the unit what can I expect for service. They talk a good game but I am fed up. Ok…update… They showed up at 7:30pm without most of the necessary items to hook up the machines. We do like the units although the whole purchase experience has been tarnished by the lack of communication and delay of almost a week in delivery of our merchandise. I am changing to two stars with the understanding I can always change my mind should this go even more downhill.
