The Valdosta Career Center is a great place to find resources that are needed to get job! The staff is very friendly and they offer several different training opportunities that can help increase skills. Thanks for the help!!!

I have been to several Goodwill Stores and by far this is the most disorganized and overpriced store I have ever been to. Many of the items I have seen hey ask retail or close to it, almost seems like someone goes on Ebay and prices the items based on that rate. I thought one of the goals of this place was to help people out but I guess not. Really though it doesn’t surprise me. This company is the greatest American scam. See they get you to donate items. Then they turn around and flip those for a profit. Very little overhead because they pay their employees minimum wage or even lower(yes they can get away with it on some people). All the while the CEOs and his upper management are making millions. You’re better served somewhat taking to Craigslist and if you’re donating items then try a local church or shelter.

Okay, I am giving this review for the Goodwill Career Center portion of the Goodwill. The office staff is really patient, perhaps TOO patient. Let me tell you, the tolerance level is ridiculous there. Everything from out of work laborers who have never touched a computer needing help creating a resume and applying for jobs online, to dealing with some job-seekers’ kids who run amok(see: locking the doors to the place and pounding on the receptionists phone for fun while she’s stepped out). If you can get past the havok, and the fact that 9 times outta 10 you’re gonna need to either bring headphones or your own computer(wifi) it is honestly a great resource for serious people in need of jobs and not just somewhere to browse their email, use the phones and go on one-sided rants about the many unfair catch 22’s of the working world and the man.
