Horrible service food was not good either. Had to ask waiter several times for the same things. Will not make this mistake ever again! Cold food is not something I want after a long day of work. Along with food that did not taste good. If giving a negative review was possible I would. Having to ask several times for the most generic things that i payed an was nice enough to tip for. Is very aggravating.

This restaurant has had it’s ups and downs since the one on Ashley St burned down. I think they are back on their game. Great courteous service, the food is served hot and consistent. We love parilla mexicana, tacos de bistec And enchiladas. I have been a customer for 25 years. I take my hat off to them for making my experience great every time.

I can’t speak to the authenticity of this food, but it’s good for a casual night out. Tuesday’s they have $ 1 margaritas, they aren’t a bad size for $ 1. I’ve had both the shredded beef chimichanga and the chicken taco salad and enjoyed both. The wait staff are generally attentive and do well with refills. The quality of the food seriously depends on the night(or maybe the staff).

It’s a nice looking building with a great bar area. Food is ok. Shredded chicken is kind wet and makes tacos or chimichanga soggy. Cheese dip is good. Eaten there for years bc it is close to the office. Used to frequent the original one by the mall before that. The original is much better to me. Fun to sit on deck and have a margarita when weather is good. Service is hit or miss. It’s been really good and really bad. I usually get the Alambra — chicken, peppers, onions, grilled on a kabob/skewer. Quesadilla is good but it’s hard to mess up melted cheese.

Good authentic Mexican food here. They are always having deals on margaritas too. The service is always good and the food come out pretty quick.

Good, quick service and overall great Mexican food. Carnitas and lunch special chimichamga are quality. I would come here again.

Once El Toreo left Ashley Street, it was just never the same. At this location I’ve had: one of the weakest margaritas I’ve ever tasted and the blandest«american-mexican» food I’ve ever had the displeasure of passing over my taste buds. On the plus side, their generic salsa is one of the better varieties and there service IS quick. The quesadillas are delicious but in the«melted cheese in a tortilla» is always good way. Service and the food delivery is quick — but almost to the point of «I wish they’d actually cook something instead of nuking it».

Their beef tacos and steak fajitas are absolutely amazing! Their tacos are great too! Everything else, stay away from it! I find that their other menu options are very authentic… too authentic for my palate! I try to go on Saturdays for the $ 1 Margaritas! You can’t beat that!

I like to pop in to either of our 2 El Toreo’s here in Valdosta. Their staff has always been very polite, not to mention how quickly our orders are brought out to us. I highly recommend this place for an adult birthday, because they always have great deals on drinks. This is where I celebrated my 21st, and I’ll never forget it! Yum! * They serve chips and salsa as soon as you are seated(try out their queso for a change!)
