This is one of the only places we have to eat in Valdese so we do have to break down and go there now and then. Today we ordered a Ruben with a side and it came to $ 8.38 when it was supposed to be $ 7.19. This is already a very overpriced sandwich. I asked the young lady, Haley, at the register why it was so much and she stated that they had charged .35 extra for the two cups of dressing on the side. Her attitude was rude and short as it is every time she is there. When I then asked her about the ranch for the chips she once again got an attitude and stormed into the back to ask if they put it in the box… they had not. I won’t bore you with the whole exchange but as I asked her questions about the price and inconsistency she informed me that she wasn’t going to argue with me. I will go to Food Lion and get stuff to make lunch before I will eat here again!!!

Food was decent but wayyyyy overpriced.(And greasy). Not worth the trip, I would prefer McDonald’s and I hate McDonald’s.

I love this place. They make the best milkshakes and banana splits. It’s a great place to stop when walking through town. :)

This place looks nice and old fashioned. But it’s severely overpriced. The staff is rude and it draws congestion to valdese. Not worth walking in.

Walking in I was taking by surprise by the life sized mannequin in the dining room! The décor is tacky but fits the«theme». Classic 50’s with pictures of locals and their cars lining the restaurant gives it a nice feel. The restaurant was clean looking but there were so many flies. We ordered two burgers Carolina style and a corn dog kids meal. It came out pretty quick. I almost wish they took longer. My burger was dry and thin with tasteless chili and bland slaw. The fries however were amazing! Perfectly cooked and seasoned! All and all the meal was decent but was way over priced. We spent 21 dollars so they should either up the quality of the product or adjust the prices. Might come back if we are in town for an ice cream not a meal.

This«cute» little diner and ice cream joint is little in many ways. I had a banana split with maybe two tablespoons of ice cream on a banana covered in whipped cream for $ 4.00 and my friend got maybe 2 tablespoons of ice cream in his fudge sundae w a sprinkling of fudge for 5! The theme may be the 50’s, but the prices are definitely today! It’s a total ripoff and the teenage girls they have running this place are rude, ignorant and spend more time focusing on their personal conversations instead of giving quality customer service! Will NEVER go here again!

The kids and wife really like this place and come about every Saturday, mainly because it’s close to a typical Saturday routine. For me it’s okay nothing over the top special. I wouldn’t eat here that frequently if it wasn’t convenient. I will however note that they are at least consistent with the food.

Good place for ice cream and Sundae’s and the 50’s style atmosphere, but for other menu items, you’re better off going to McDonald’s. I like that it is a meeting place — hang out, for the locals to gather, giving it a «Home town, Main Street, USA» feel to the place,

Myra’s is a local institution. They cater many events in the area and server meals, sandwiches, and ice cream creations every day. They have the best hot dogs anywhere.

A cute little ice cream and burger joint with a throwback to the 50s feel to it. Stopped in with my Mom on a Saturday after a lovely ride through the NC countryside. She and my dad come in every once in awhile and she’d been telling me how wonderful it was so happy to give it a try. They serve both soft serve and hard ice cream. Sundaes and things are made default with soft serve but they’ll make you something with the regular hard ice cream if you want which is what we opted for. Mom enjoyed a banana split that looked simply wonderful and I had a scoops of vanilla and black cherry with butterscotch sauce and nuts. Mmmmm yummy. Also tried their onion rings — made with diced onions(so probably I suspect frozen) they were nothing outstanding but were a nice salty accompaniment to our afternoon snack. Staff is mostly smiling local teenagers and the menu is small and limited to the likes of burgers, fries and ice cream. Counter stools and booth seating available along with tables outside but service is limited to picking up orders at the counter so just remember what you ordered and listen up for it to be called out.
