How do they stay in business! With a message machine that fails to take messages and no one at the venue. I tried calling four times. Their VM continually failed to take a message and I actually went by the venue twice during advertised business hours and I live 35 minutes away. Additionally, I left a written message on their FB page to call me with no response. Wanted to take friends to last nights event, but not knowing whether tickets were available we opted for something else. We were really looking forward to the music, but apparently this venue doesn’t need the business.

Went to a movie showing, Rocky Horror Picture Show, on 10−30−15(sort of). Management of this theatre was non-existent. Without notice they changed the show time from 9PM to 10PM under the pretense of being sold out. Allowed a limited number of people into the lobby at 8PM but made several hundred more stand outside for well over an hour because of the refusal to open the theatre. Boy, that sure does work well for the bar and food counter in the theatre which had decent food and prices. When the show finally did start at 1015PM it was nothing but needless vulgarity and profanity nothing of which had any relationship the movie. This included a women stripping down to a G-string and pasties on stage which has absolutely nothing to do with the movie. I have been to prior screenings of the RHPS and had a great time but not here. After all the BS they finally attempted to show the film at 11PM but guess what??? No sound, not a peep, although the closed caption worked fine. By 1120PM most of the persons who had come to see the movie left without seeing any of the movie and in utter disgust of the management and the persons who put on the 1 hour + of BS. I have no intention of patronizing this venue again.

Hamburger was delicious, so happy to have a place that sells potato salad! More of a lunch place then a dinner. I do want to go try their brunch specials soon.

I was thinking about going to the Escevedo Family concert and just now checked for reviews. I did not go because I was confused by the prices on the web site when I called the girl on the phone was not very helpful and rather short and rude so I decided against going.

We are new to Vacaville and because we are familiar with gusty rate entertainment venues that host concerts such as the one on Saturday 9÷18−2015 where such Artist like the Escoveto’s, we bought 5 ticket at $ 33.00 each. We have been fans of the Escoveto’s from the days at the Square Apple in San Francisco, so it was a no brainier to see them here in Vacaville. So what was the problem? The problem was that we called the Deville Theater a week before the event and ask for the time that the doors would open and the female on the other end of the phone said that the doors would open at 8:30pm. So we planned to be there at least 30 minutes early at 8pm. When we arrived we found great parking right across the street, think that wow, great parking we are in time for great seats too but when we walked in it was standing room only. We had not idea that it was first come first served and that I was spending $ 165.00 to stand for the entire concert. I would not have minded if I knew in advance that this would be the scenario because that would have meant that I chose to go knowing the circumstances. What is clear is that there should have been a two tiered pricing system one with seating available and one without such as standing room pricing. What it tells me is that Management is desperate for cash and will get it by any means necessary. It is dishonest to take a customers money under those circumstances and frankly poor management. If it were I who owned the Deville, I would have provided seating on the main floor period with no room for standing or dancing. If I were going to allow for standing room I would have a lower price because of inconvenience or no available seating for them as the rest of the patrons. This was clearly a disappointing evening a we left almost 30 minutes after the event started by because people in their 60’s and 70’s can’t stand all night. What Management did not take into consideration is that the event was not attended by «Teeny boppers» but Mostly Senior Citizens who were kids when the Escoveto’s were in their prime, they should have anticipated who there clientele was instead of focusing on how much money they would make. Deville Theater management are poor at how they manage the facility. If you choose to attend a Theater Deville event my advice is BUYERBEWARE. I’m not saying I won’t go there again but this events management has clearly put a bad taste in my mouth for«Cow Town» entertainment. And to think of it, they could have made more money if the had just had the concert at the«Creek Walk« Thanks for listening, Sincerely, Morris

We worked with this venue on 8⁄15 for a charity event for 2 small children with Polycystic Kidney Disease who are in need of kidney transplants. Knowing this, you would think that the General Manager as well as the staff would have some compassion for our cause. Not the case. If you ever decide to work with this venue, be prepared to work with folks who are shady and value nothing other than money. The venue agreed to a $ 800 usage fee, a deal because it was a charity event. Three days before the event, they came back and said they wanted more money. First, it was a portion of the ticket sales(which we priced at $ 13 because we had no idea this was part of their grand plan) which then went to «we’ll just take money off the door». The day before the event it was«we now want $ 200″. We got onsite for the event, after it was agreed by the owner that $ 800 is all we owed and were told by the „General Manager“ that we owed them another $ 400. What? The person from our group has never done an event like this before and was fresh meat for these people. Mind you, THEY never provided a contract for the use of THEIR venue. When the „general manager“ was confronted by the rest of our group, it was excuse after excuse: „We need to pay our people“…“don’t blame me, I’ve only been here 6 weeks». I blame you for trying to take money out of 2 very sick children’s mouths. We stuck to our guns for the $ 800. I believe they stopped fighting because they knew it wasn’t going anywhere. Shortly after, I watched him gather with other staff members, mocking people in our group and being completely unprofessional. Incredibly sketchy. Completely disrespectful. Overwhelmingly rude. So, if you’re looking to work with this venue, be warned. The only thing these managers are interested in is filling their pockets at your expense.

Big disappointment last night. My husband and I had a few choices for date night that interested us. But we chose to check out Deville’s. We used to go there for the movie theater years ago before it became Deville’s. Since they advertise often about their open mic night on Monday nights, we stopped by to eat dinner and watch the show. There were only about 4 tables and only about 5 tall bar stools for customers to sit. Those seats were in use. So we asked if they had more tables. The server looked surprised that I asked and told me that was the only tables they had. There was less than 20 customers there and a few more people at the door that also had to leave due to no seating. We missed out on the other two venues we could have gone to. We moved on to BJ’s where we received great seating, great service, and great food. We will not be back to Deville’s.

I came to this venue as a working musician. I was hired to fill in as a lead guitarist for a band. I came all the way from Arcata and practiced for weeks to do this show. About 6 hours before our show, Deville called our event coordinator and said their sound system was down. We were stunned! Our event coordinator called back to find a solution and they kept giving us excuse after excuse as to why the show wouldn’t fly. «None of the staff showed up — they went to a festival.» Or «we don’t think you can sell enough to fill the seats and we don’t want to risk ourselves.» They kept giving excuse after excuse. I wasn’t involved in the contracts for booking this venue, but something was very wrong. No professional venue does something like that! I drove all the way from Arcata to perform and they canceled hours before our show. All the hours I put into practicing, hauling gear, driving, all For nothing. We ended up standing in their parking lot with our gear when we could’ve been putting on a show. This place is run by people severely lacking in professionalism. Musicians — I highly warn you against dealing with this place. Very sketchy behind the scene politics.

Went for a Valentines dinner and rat pack show. It was horrible! Had to come to the theater in person to buy the tickets and charged a $ 5 service per ticket that no one could explain. Told us to be there at 6:30 doors open we had assigned tables could not sit down at our assigned table till 7:15 not ready but plenty of workers looking confused . Nice place but unless they hire good management wont make to the summer. I and others there that night will not return! Too bad for Vacaville. $ 55 a ticket food choice cold pasta and salad that you served yourself.

Went to the Sat. afternoon tribute to the Winter Hawk winery on 2⁄07. Everything from the bands, the sound and the venue itself were all first rate. The place was packed and the dance floor was happening. Drinks and food seemed reasonable to me and the staff was very friendly. I had a blast! Looking forward to more shows here. Good job guys.

I have spent my life finding good restaurants and eating only the finest foods, granted I love having drink, here, and there. At this establishment I felt not only welcomed but appreciated as a customer. They serve quickly, and cook quickly, but at the same time are ready for your every request. I may not have children, but when I do I will bring them here.

The folks that turned a cinema into a small town concert hall that is now the Uptown, Napa, did such a great job you’d think the Vaca dudes would have checked it out before opening this shack! Start with a sound booth that blocks the views of several seats; and if you’re too cheap to put it somewhere unobtrusive at lest don’t plant the solo performer(in this case, Marc Cohn) off to the side of the stage so he’s hidden. the show wasn’t even sold out, so you didn’t have to sell the obstructed view seats! And maybe there’s a clue: Cohn is too sophisticated for this audience. Note to Cow Town: you don’t shout comments that interrupt a story-teller. Or «Yee-Haw» during a quiet song. As to the makeover: taking out the downstairs cinema seats to put in meeting hall chairs; really? Uptown didn’t do that. And it might help if the rows were clearly marked so one can find one’s seat; especially since the ushers just stand around doing nothing. Like the lost souls chattering away at the bar in the back. There are two bars in the lobby; you DIDNOT need two more inside to encourage these yahoos to talk while the show is on. The one plus: it’s closer to home than Napa; not much else to say about a sadly decorated little spot with sub-par sound and amateurish lighting. Beer was OK once they figured out the real price; had no idea what food was for sale. Another positive is that its so hard to find(put an accurate map link on your site; there is no left on Parker!) or tell the city to put up street signs!

Theater is awesome. Guy working the main mixing board needs practice, voice was to low, keyboards to low. Food average. Food is Over priced for what it is. $ 40 average for a ticket to see a show? Needs to be $ 25 max.

I am so excited about Theatre DeVille opening. It’s just what Vacaville needed; A venue with entertainment and nightlife for people of all groups. Theatre DeVille presents today’s hottest acts, top comics and so much more. With great food and exciting nighttime entertainment. This Unilocal page created by: Theresa Capitonoff-Vacaville
