This review is coming from purely the point of a seller. Alan is very gruff and not very friendly at all. I guess he was not friendly to me because he knew that I would not go with his very high estimate. I would not trust any agents/​broker reviews as in the end they don’t have to deal with him on a one on level. He is nice to them as they keep sending him business. To the seller, he does not really give a crap. He came very early to the set apt time 7:10 am verse 7:30 am. I should have made him wait it did not matter in the end. Just be warned that his estimates for house repairs are a good 20% to 30% higher than what you can gets licensed construction/​pest company will charge. I doubt that he does all the repairs himself and he needs to get his % when he subcontracts the work out to be done. So glad I went with Harvey Construction instead.
Edit I guess I got the name wrong. I never got a card. Looking back in the report, I dealt with Richard. The repairs took longer as Harvey replaced the window box that only was listed as repair (as per my review) and it happen to be in the high 90’s one day in early June and wife reminded me that it rained most of another day as well. I am just happy that I don’t have to deal with this company again.

Richard has done several jobs for me over the past 10 years or so. He is highly recommended. I would say he is the most honest pest inspector that I have ever worked with. I have compared his reports to others in the local area and his are more accurate and complete.
He is a nice guy to deal with as well.

I used Sheppard on a recommendation from my Realtor. He was reasonable. Some items were tough for me to handle — but that’s not his fault, he’s just doing his job and reporting honest stuff, doing his due diligence right? He also allowed me to subcontract out items to get better pricing on things that he didn’t have to do (like beams and stuff)
So all in all I have to say he responded to emails quickly, he was pleasant, and did his reports to his best ability. For that he gets 5-​stars.

Richard Sheppard is by far the most honest pest inspector I have ever dealt with. Being in the industry I have dealt with all of the inspectors in this area… Sheppard Termite is the best.
