Okay, I went into this shop looking for a very small part for an obsolete bicycle. I was greeted right away and I explained what I was looking for. Obviously, I was not going to be a high-dollar customer. The salesman, who appeared to be the owner, explained how the part I was looking for was no longer available. He told me what substitutions for the part I could make and told me what to look for at the hardware store. He then started to rummage through a container of used bits and pieces on his repair table. He pulled out two specialty wheel washers and said, «Here, take these… they’ll work for you and I’ll never use them.» There was no charge. I took the pieces home and they worked perfectly on my old bicycle. Even though I did not spend a penny, Precision Bicycles got me back on the road. To me, that is quality customer service!

Excellent service. I was specific in what I was looking for which was a bike for my 4-year old son. He’s too tall to ride anything else. They helped me choose just the right bike for him. I did not feel bullied into purchasing the most expensive bike. In actuality they suggested I purchase the less expensive one in which case I did. They even said that they would teach him how to ride the bike which I will probably take them up on. The purchase was 20% off and I was very pleased with their customer service as well. I will continue to use their services.

I first stopped here a few months ago to look at a Pivot bike. There aren’t many dealers around and even fewer that actually have stock. I’ve been there a few times and for some reason the only person I ever see there is Rob. He’s always friendly and always offers me to test ride the different bikes they have. They have really good deals on bikes and always asks me to join their Sunday rides. It sounds like a great ride, but it’s a little out of my way. After about a year of test riding different bikes all over the state, I decide on a certain bike. Then to my surprise I see one on sale on the internet and realize it’s at Precision Bicycles. I jump in my car and head down there. When I get there, who I see? Rob of course. He tells me that it’s in a box but they’re not going to take it out because they’re planning on selling it on the internet and will more than like have to ship it. I told them I’d take it and assemble it my self if he’d take couple of bucks off. So eventually I have an AWSOME new bike. I would definitely go back and would recommend the place.

Did a group ride & it was great. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, motivating & they look out for everyone. I had this same experience looking at & trying different bikes at the shop before buying. Highly recommended!

These people are constant, egregious Craigslist spammers. I’ll never shop there.

I went into this bike shop to test ride a couple bikes. While some of the staff was friendly they never attempted to educate or properly fit me on a bike, he also told me that certain bikes were not available in female frames even though they were available on the manufacturers website because he did not stock them. so I decided to purchase my bike at a shop further from my home where the service was amazing. Flash forward I got a flat tire and took it to the shop to be fixed. The workers were helpful but the owner was extremely rude. He charged me $ 50 for a tire change because one the guy working on my bike turned my fork around once he started looking over my bike Leon the shop owner stopped him and said it was not allowed around then told me that my bike needed a 70 dollar tuneup. I took my bike to another shop they did some adjustments and said they didn’t know what he was talking about. I was planning on purchasing another bike for my husband here since it is local and driving to my bike store was becoming inconvenient but I will not be going back to this shop to purchase anything. He tried to convince me to return my bike to the store and purchase one from him as well. Perhaps it’s a good store if you are already educated about bikes and don’t need someone to fit you and explain things to you or don’t mind being lied to or taken advantage of.

Hunted down this shop, looking for Hammer Nutrition products, has what I was after, very friendly guys, bought bulk with a discount and going to look them up when back in NZ to ship out some products more cheaply than we could get back home. Keep up the good work guys.

I don’t recommend this place. Over priced, poor customer service, not very knowledgable. I spent over $ 200 in this place last week and they wouldn’t even throw in a couple of free water bottles. Told me they would have to charge me full price($ 10 each) really? Stay away…

Great bike shop. My son was looking for a new FGFS(Fixed Gear Free Style) bicycle. We did a internet search for a PK Ripper SE Bicycles bike. Precision came up with the very best price. Even though we live over an hour away, we coordinated a with a trip to visit family in Sacramento to stop by and pick up bike. Robert at the store was very helpful via email answering questions I had. He even build two size frames of the bike my son wanted so that when we stopped, my son could choose the best fit. The store was very cool. The sales staff were friendly and helpful. I only wish I lived closer.

Nice little place in Vacaville to get that personal attention. They had what I needed. Put in on my bike while I waited and away I went with a smile on my face. Thanks Rob!!!

So, I walked in the door with my dad and though I could see them looking at us through the window, when we walked in, no one greeted us. No smile, no head nod, no «Hey, how are you?» Nada. Strike one. Then, finally this guy came to help us. He looked to be in his early to mid 20’s and he asked what we were looking for. I told him I needed a hybrid for school and one that would be good for climbing hills. He seemed friendly enough, also he was pretty hot, if it wasn’t for his hotness, I probably would rate this place a negative lol. He picked a few bikes for me to try and they weren’t really comfortable. I tried one that was comfortable but the colors it came in were so horrendous that I couldn’t possibly buy one. They seem to have more men’s than women’s bikes and the selection is pretty slim. Also, I asked this dude if the bike came with fenders and he said no and he said that fenders were«more for decoration but they aren’t functional.» I said I heard they were good for rain he said, «Oh yeah, but someone who’s riding in the rain won’t care if their bike is wet.» I guess he wasn’t thinking of possibly being splashed by puddles from like an early morning shower. Also, he said that fenders on a bike were bad for riding hills. I don’t know why he said that when I asked a lady from another shop who looked like she’d been riding since before he was born, she said she didn’t know what he was talking about and that it wouldn’t be a problem. Basically this guy was saying all these technical terms about the bike specs, but I had the feeling he didn’t quite know what he was talking about. Thumbs down for customer service and lack of knowledge. Thumbs up for cute guys trying their best lol.

I bought the bike 6 months ago, closeout, 2010 Fuji 2.0 Absolute for ~ ½ list price. Brought it in 4 months late for«tuneup» but was not charged. Had some other work done while I waited, reasonable time, fair pricing. Was also warned that the seat post was too short for my riding position and that this was a potential safety problem, that could have resulted in shearing of the post. All the staff were interested and knowledgeable, very helpful.

I have to say i wasnt very impressed with this place at all… All the employees seem to be young and not very good at customer service… Wasnt really able to size my gf for a bike and didnt get the feeling that i was talking to someone who really knew what my gf needed… We left and went to the two other bike shops in town and could diff. tell the defference in the service… I dont think ill be back since the other two shops seem better and not to mention closer in town too…

Did a group ride for the first time with these guys this past Sunday. A good mix of characters but all were very friendly. Some were hammers but for the most part the group stayed together on this no-drop ride. After the rest stop at Steady Eddy’s coffee shop the hammers took off for some hill work and the rest looped back to the shop. I liked that everyone was friendly and helpful. The owner was really nice, as was the mechanic I rode with a little bit.(Forgot his name though, he had a Brian Wilson/SF Giants type beard!) He was very knowledgeable and down to earth. The shop looked kind of small but they had a large inventory of bikes and accessories in the space they had. But from my experience so far, the customer service and friendliness is what is going to keep me coming back!

I’ve been purchasing bicycles from this shop since 1996! The service has always been top notch and so is the selection. There has been a rotation of bicycle styles that I’ll assume follows the current market trends. The shop is military friendly and comes highly recommended from people on forums as far away as Fresno, California to Eugene, Oregon. They must be doing something right!

Avoid buying bikes from this place. Couple months ago, I was looking for my first bike. At the time I did not have much knowledge about bikes or fitting. I come across this place by referral from a friend. I went there and saw a bike I liked. The did not even try to fit me in it and said it is fine. I asked them if they have another one that is not display. They said no. So, I bought the bike at the spot. After a couple of weekend riding, my body started to feeling the pain due to the wrong size of bike. I eventually found out they sold me a bike that 2 size smaller than what I should be riding. Then I found out they were selling another bike that same size and model as mine which they claimed they did not have(it’s not a re-stocking, because it a last year model). The bike assembly there is a piece of sh*t. My bike turned out to be way out of adjustment without even riding it. Bottom line is that Precision Bicycles is dishonest and unethical. I would not buy anything from there ever again. I don’t understand how the other two person can give this shop a 5 stars.

After the disappointment at not being able to locate a FR7 tool at the Sport Chalet, I did a quick search online and Precision Bicycles came up. Since I was already in the area, I decided to head on over. This is a great little shop in the middle of a nondescript shopping strip farther east from the outlets. I ran in to look specifically for the tool and since my blind arse could not find it, I waited in line for assistance. A good variety of bicycles here, from the standard cruiser to racing and mountain bikes galore. Looked like a bunch of stock just came in, given the numerous boxes. Prices here looked pretty competitive with the surrounding competition but what you have here is personalized customer service. The man behind the counter came out to assist me in searching for that specific tool and then he asked what I was working on. I told him the FR7 tool was for a Falcon Freewheel. And then suddenly, there were three other guys in the room, all commenting on my straight-out-of-luck situation. Looks like the FR1 and FR5 are the most common and up to date tool for bikes out there. I told them I was rebuilding my POS old timer and then they understood why I was having trouble finding that tool. He then told me to just bring my wheel by and that they would pop off the cassette for me. Five stars for an establishment that exudes a helpful attitude, even though I told him I was not from the area.

Precision is a great shop supporting both the community and local racing. Rob the mechanic is very helpful and I agree that their prices are very competitive. Remember to support your local businesses, I have yet to see one of the large online retailers to anything for the Solano county cycling community.
