Our experience with Paramount was brief, but good. Sadl, my dad took a turn for the worst and passed away only a few days after moving in. HE was already bedridden and quickly became comatose. Unable to fend for himself, we worried he might be ignored when we weren’t there. At first, our concerns seem to be well-founded. The night staff didn’t really come in to check him much. But after texting Alyssa, the lady who helped us get things setup, she took care of everything. From that moment on, staff members were checking on Dad much more frequently. Every one of them was kind and gentle, down to the very end. Besides the excellent personal care, the facilities are very nice. The common area is attractive and inviting. Some residents eve had dogs. One afternoon a gentleman came in and played the piano for the crowd of residents that had gathered. Meals are normally served at assigned tables in the dining room. We were told we could eat there too, but chose to carry it back to Dad’s room. Kitchen staff was helpful. They happily filled our plates with whatever we asked for. The food was decent. Burgers, salads, ribs, etc. I totally recommend Paramount House, especially for seniors who are fully functional. The rooms are good sized and clean, the grounds pleasant.
