This salon is awful, most especially Ashley Lowe and the owner. I have been a loyal customer for almost 8 years now. I originally saw Melanie until this year when I decided to look for another stylist at the salon. I was sent to Ashley. I came in wanting a hair color change and for her to fix a botched haircut. When I sat down and had my initial consultation with Ashley, I was very blunt about my expectations, including showing her several images as a reference point. Mind you, what I was asking absolutely could be done~ I am not one of those clients with unrealistic expectations. I wanted to have my light pink hair dyed copper/red and my haircut evened out so that it was symmetrical on either side. She was pleasant while I was in her chair, but her so-called skills do not match her ability to act. She washed, cut and styled my hair. By the way, I have a 1920’s flapper style cut– very short and blunt at just about ear length. She used a round brush to style. The first thing that I was irked about was the dye job. It wasn’t red. It wasn’t copper. It was a dark auburn, which is a brown red, not pure red. As far as I could tell, the cut didn’t look bad. We had agreed that she would even the length, but a couple shorter layers in the back were to be left to grow out an inch or so and retouched the next visit. She charged me $ 80 and I tipped her $ 20. When I washed and dried my hair for the first time after the visit, I noticed that my hair was a half an inch longer on the left side. My guess as to why it wasn’t noticeable in the salon is because she used a round brush to dry and style and my ends were turned under. Alas, I was unable to call the stylist for 2 ½ weeks. When I called and asked if she could please fix it, she demanded that I pay her again and did nothing but make excuses. She is a stylist at a top salon and she did not do a good job. Why should I have to pay more to have it fixed? She should have done it right the first time around or fix it for free. I was giving her the chance to make it right. After refusing to fix it unless I paid AGAIN, I called to speak to the owner. Again, nothing but excuses. She claimed that she was stuck in the middle and that Ashley was a great stylist and that it was my fault for not coming in sooner. And to make matters worse, Ashley lied to her about what she and I discussed and agreed to in the first place. The owner said that she wanted me to come down to look at my hair. I agreed, but said that I would want my hair to then be fixed– without having to pay. She started arguing with me, telling me I couldn’t have it both ways(whatever that’s supposed to mean) and that ultimately she was going to stand behind Ashley. That is just ridiculous. I, too am in the service industry. I am a wedding photographer. I pride myself on making my clients happy and if for whatever reason they are not, I will do whatever it takes to fix the problem. Customer service is an absolute joke anymore, especially with these so called top tier salons. They’re making a ton of money to yield beautiful results. If they screw up, they should fix it. It’s obvious that the owner doesn’t care about happy clients. So not only did they refuse to fix my hair, they refused to give my money back(usually 50% of cost). I will never go here again and a word of warning to you– find another salon and choose a stylist who has integrity, is honest, and skilled in his/her craft. Mirage salon and spa in Vacaville is an absolute disgrace, most especially the owner.

I love this place! The waiting room atmosphere is very relaxing and if you get bored, they have plenty of products to browse. I was lucky to get Jessica! I had called the same day for an appointment and she was more that happy to fit me into her already crammed schedule. She had wonderful communication and I CANNOTWAIT to go back to her! I even scheduled a follow up appointment and am super excited for it! It’s hard to find a good stylist and a wonderful salon. She really is awesome. I can only imagine that the rest of the staff is pretty great too =)

I had an appointment to get my makeup done for prom(I won it at the grand opening of Mirage Boutique, so it was free) with Solomon. I arrived in tears because the lady who did my hair right before did not do what I had asked at all and I felt ridiculous, but I had no time to fix it. The girl at the front desk was trying to comfort me, which was sweet. But one of their stylists(Sara) offered to fix it for free(!!!), even though she had an event to go to and risked missing it. I was so so so grateful. So, I got my hair and makeup done simultaneously since neither of us had a lot of time. The hair turned out better than I imagined, and I couldn’t have been more relieved, and Sara was extremely friendly and sweet! Solomon was amazing as well and he listens very well to what you ask him to do. I will now highly recommend Mirage to anyone and everyone. They have excellent customer service and really care about their clients.

Went in to get my hair dye a blonde ombré. After gabby and I talked it over we both agreed due to excessive hair dye already on my hair we couldn’t get it down to the bleach blonde right away. She looked threw color til I saw one I really liked. She was fairly quick and when it was done I was incredibly happy the dark brown I had before lifted way better then expected and the color ended up gorgous.

Went in yesterday for the first time and had an appointment with Danielle. She is amazing! I was referred by a friend whose hair always look great an i finally decided to give her a try. Honestly the best cut i have ever had. My hair was very dry, damaged and a weird color when i went in,. Danielle was honest, listened to my expectations and nailed it! My hair looks and feels great!

Mirage is hands down the best hair salon I have ever been to. I have been to several other salons but I’m not as comfortable. But right when walk in I’am welcomed and I just love the environment in the salon. Autumm is always on time with her appointments which I love! Always make an appointment with her in advance! She is also the only person I go to for my hair and I love my cut or trim every time. There’s not one time where I’m not satisfied. Also she is the best when it comes to stories and so easy to talk to. I highly recommend her! She is amazing when it comes to coloring hair as well.

Well, it’s not really a salon spa anymore since they moved their nice relaxing waiting room to a noisy loud music foyer. It feels like a cheap mall salon waiting area now. It’s cramped with too close seating and filthy couches. :(

Let me just start by saying that this is my salon of choice. They hire professionals who are personable and very good at what they do. They don’t have the cheapest prices in town, but you get what you pay for, right? One word of caution I will give is this: don’t buy product there… ever. Everything is way over priced, even if they’re offering a discount. You’re better off buying online or going to the Vacaville outlets.

Mirage Salon & Spa is great! I have been going here for 8 years, and I have nothing but good things to say about this salon. I drive from San Francisco just to get my hair done here. I’ve had my hair done more times than I can count and each time I walk out 100% satisfied. Whether its a cut, color, highlights, low lights, up do, or straightening treatment, I have have no complaints! I go to Adreana and have never been disappointed! She is always willing to try new colors and styles and really knows what she is doing. I am VERY picky about my current ombré hairstyle, and she is perfect at the technique!!! No matter what I ask of her, she understands and gives me exactly what I want. I also enjoy the atmosphere of the salon. I LOVEJIMMIE! I live in San Francisco and travel to Vacaville and the Mirage Salon & Spa just to have him do my hair! I have wavy, frizzy, unmanageable hair and Jimmie is the only one that seems to be able to tame it. The choice of color that he picks for me is always fantastic and he gets the right amount of texture into my hair to help with the frizz. Plus, he always has great suggestions for products and knows the latest trends! I would recommend him to ANYONE that needs to get their hair done. I don’t know what I would do without him.

I usually travel to San Bruno to get my hair done, I’m glad I stayed local. I went to see Angela Meehan. She was sweet, easy to talk to, and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it! I love it! I would definitely see Angela again and will tell friends to go see her.

Lovely salon! :D Cameron was able to squeeze me in this afternoon — I didn’t have an appointment. I left feeling great about my haircut — it looks and feels a lot better than what I went in with, even though we didn’t take much off! She had great recommendations for styling at home and really listened to what I wanted. Very happy, and I’ll definitely come back.

A little disappointed in this place. After reading great reviews and doing lots of research I decided to book my mother in laws 50th birthday spa day here. There would have been a total of 5 of us getting various treatments but when I called to book I was informed that their pedicurest would be gone the week I wanted to book, mind you I was booking for a Saturday, probably one of the busiest times of the week and you only have 1 pedicurest? No back up or second option? I did not book here because the birthday girl was one of the 3 who wanted a spa pedicure. If you’re going to advertise services you should really have a back up in case your main person is out, I can understand a day, but going a week or even a weekend w/out a pedicurest is poor planning. We have booked and taken our business else where.

I’ve been going to Sandy since I was a kid, waaaay before she was Mirage Salon. As I’ve grown(both as a person and my hair) so has her business, from a lil station, to a tiny place on Main St, to the Opera House, to the beautiful location they are currently at. I am the type that generally spends zero time on my hair and will go 6 months between cuts, so it’s important for me to go to somebody who not only understands the texture and flow of my hair but also understands my styling habits, without judgement. I always come out with a great cut that looks great whether I put effort into it or hop out of the shower and go and even when I go for bangs, the cut grows out just as nice! She’s always up on the latest techniques and trends and when I wanted to try to Brazilian Blowout, which she didn’t perform, she gladly referred me to another stylist at the Mirage who was equally professional, talented and friendly. Though I’ve switched most of my appointment-based people to be more local to me, my two attempts to find hairstylists in the bay area have been less than impressive and much more expensive, it’s more than worth the drive back to Vacaville to go to the Mirage!

I was referred to Autumn at Mirage by a friend of mine who always had the best looking hair. Autumn became my savior: she knew how to cut my wavy, frizzy locks and her choice when it came to color made my mane fabulous! Autumn always brought me a glass of wine while working on my ‘do, she is a master storyteller and a great therapist as well. I never left the salon feeling less than a million bucks. Autumn also provided me with recommendations of the right products for my hard-to-handle-hair. The salon itself is beautiful. Different areas are blocked off for which ever treatment you are having. I love the waiting room; nicely appointed and very comfortable. In this world you often get what you pay for. This is not Supercuts. This is a stylish salon with beautiful stylists. I recommend Mirage Salon and Spa to any woman(or man) who wants to look as good as they feel. I just wish I could find a salon like Mirage on the Sunshine Coast of BC!
