La Fleur Bakery & Cafe

The cake flavor was good, moist cake and delicious fruit filling. However, for the price I paid, I feel like the artistry skills were really lacking. I ordered a unique two tired birthday cake. When I picked it up there was still some corn starch on the fondant, creases in the fondant, and buttercream piping around the cake was done in a hurry. One of the Disney toy characters I had brought in to be placed on the cake had its foot shoved into the buttercream piped boarder of the cake and it looked really messy. I also specifically said I did not want printed sugar paper images on the cake. When I picked up the cake there were 4 sugar paper images around the cake. The fondant characters I was able to have was done well. However, one of the character’s head popped off as I was walking to the car, thankfully it wasn’t ruined and was put back on with extra buttercream. Also, don’t ask for any Disney type characters made out of fondant, they won’t do it. You have to bring in a toy for Disney characters. Overall, I feel like I wasted $ 160 on a two tiered cake. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a wedding or special occasion type cake.

Stopped by here today on a whim. tried their cheese delight. it’s good but nothing to write home about. I was expecting something more decadent. since its a specialty item that they have. they also hv macarons. i didn’t try any bec it lacked visual appeal to me. sorry folks.

This was hard — the Cheese Delight is amazing!!! It was the best thing I’ve had in awhile — but the sad excuse for macaroons was just unbearable. The cookies themselves were hard and had no soft density inside… the cream filling for the Rose, champagne, and lychee macaroons was all the same bland sweet flavor — that is not a macaroon at all! My first were at Ladurie, and it’s a high standard to match. I would have been more generous if they at least tasted like different flavors. They were all sweet but flavorless colored wafers.

Since this is right next to the awesome coffee shop, i thought i would walk over and try it out.
Once i saw emoji cookies, my eye lit up like omg it be perfect for a photo shoot. lol… but it was only display and you would have to order a minimum or 12 which is $ 27. Fyi you would have to place the order ahead of time too.
Anyways i already had in mind to try their colorful macaroons, All the colors are mix matched, it doesn’t go with the flavor they advertised. $ 1.85 each.
for example I got one lychee and one mango.
The lychee macaroon, had bright green and pink, with crème in the middle, i did not taste lychee, maybe it was just light in the flavor.
The mango macaroon was bright blue, and green which tasted way better than the lychee one. The texture of the outside is crisp and inside is kind of chewy. VS. The lychee macaroon which was sooo hard, and it tasted like it was stale.
Overall i have had better macaroons, and won’t be returning for their macaroons. Its beautiful for a picture because of the bright mix match colors. Its puffy and big, but taste wise doesn’t taste like lychee or mango, i do thought both of them tasted the same, but just different in the texture. But i do have it bookmarked for emoji cookies, if i need them for a party soon. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Super friendly and clean! Went in to get some macaroons for a gift and she handed me a free cream puff. Yum!!! Definitely going back. Great service.

The best bakery. Amazing flavor and decorations. I would recommend to any one. The customer service is excellent.

I went to La Fleur Bakery after randomly passing by it on a whim one day. I’m so glad I did because it’s by far my favorite.
Ada, the owner and baker has an amazing talent for decorating. Each pasty is handcrafted and you can clearly see the love and care in each delicious detail. She also sells local coffee which I insist that everyone try. I’ve lived in many different states and tried hundreds upon hundreds of different coffees (even been to a few coffee fairs) and the coffee she sells is just better. It’s smoother and more flavorful than anywhere else I can find.
I highly recommend the strawberry cheese cake or the sugar cookies but I’ve honestly never had a bad item here.
It’s my wonderful secret gem of a bakery and I’m so happy to have found it.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! We’ve bought several different types of pastries from there and brought them to our office for staff and clients and ALL have been delicious! I’ve even posted it on my Facebook page. The service is equally excellent!

I ordered a retirement cake for my co-​worker, was so disappointed, it doest even look like professionally done, I ordered a cake with cupcakes around it .It wasnt even arranged the way it should be, cupcake frosting is almost melting. Was so embarrassed that I refuse to tell my co –worker that the cake was ordered and done by a so called bakery. Good thing i made some chocolate covered strawberries to distract their attention to that cake.

Amazing service, la fleur came through with a custom cake in just two days. A chocolate raspberry tort that was just perfect for what we needed. I will definitely be looking to stop by again.

Only way we can describe this place… not what we were expecting. We were going to order coffee and breakfast. When ordering our coffee the annoyed lady working the front counter told us they do not have 1% or non fat… only 2%…so we went next door to order coffee and just got breakfast here:
French toast with fresh fruit: made with their French bread and served with (2) sliced strawberries. The french toast was ridiculously dry. Flavor wasnt bad, yet I couldnt get over how dry it was.
Veggie breakfast sandwich: This sandwich is supposed to have eggs, spinach, cheese and tomatoes. I also added avocado ($.75 extra). When the sandwich came out it had everything on it, along with ketchup and lettuce. Lettuce and eggs? Ketchup on a vegetarian breakfast sandwich? Really? After sending it back, they brought it out hiw it was supposed to be. The spinach tasted like bagged frozen spinach, the cheese wad non existent and the tomatoes were anything but crisp.
I would not come back. Definitely not what we were expecting from a cute little bakery. I don’t understand how they have 4.5 stars.

2 ½ stars. Came in here after sad experience at Donut Queen.
This place is ok. Clean, sparse brightly lit. Poor layout. I can help them do a better one. When you walk in, the case is shoved up against your nose.
If people come in after you, forget it. You are all standing around like sardines.
If you go to far to the right, you are bumping into people who are seated & eating.
This can be easily fixed to make area seem more roomy & actually have more work space, counter space behind counter. Oh well.
They have some pastries, croissants & sandwiches.
Very small inside.
We ordered a few different things to go & when I tried them I got the distinct feeling some of the desserts were from frozen /​store bought. Not made from scratch.
They had a tasteless «taste» if you will.
So just meh in my book .
Gal was friendly though & practiced some nice upselling.

After being tired of the same old donut shop I go to I looked on Unilocal to see if just possibly there is another place to get a pastry. Luck would have it I found this little gem. Not just the pastries were excellent but the coffee was too!!! I am very happy I searched Unilocal!

Super friendly service! Great local bakery to stop in for a light lunch/​brunch. I had the chicken pesto sandwich with a chocolate croissant, of which both were yummy. Will be going back for more visits and it’s always nice to support a local place that serves good quality food.

I have to begin with full disclosure that I received two sandwiches and a small hot chocolate for free today, having won it in a drawing. I ordered tri-​tip sandwiches, however if this meat is tri-​tip I would be very surprised. The only other thing in the sandwiches was slices of white onion, barely cooked, and some white cheese, unidentifiable in type.
The French roll seemed fresh and soft. The hot chocolate was average. The kicker to all this, is that I won the gift certificate in November, and then was told I needed to come and pick it up immediately. So I did. I arrived at the store the next day and was told the certificate wasn’t ready yet, so I ordered a to-​go lunch. I told them I was on a short break, and I needed it quickly. It took them 20 minutes to get the sandwich to me. Obviously not fast. It was a chicken pesto sandwich, again very average. When I came back in today to pick up my gift certificate, I was told that because I had waited so long to come, I had to just take the food today, and I would have to take it to go since it was for two people. When I asked the owner if I could simply wait and bring in a friend, she said «No, we have expiration dates to encourage people to come into our restaurant». I don’t think she understands what the word encourage means. I am glad this food was free today because it was definitely not worth price listed on the menu. I will not return here. I would give it a one star rating, however I feel guilty doing so when the food was free.

Ridiculously wonderful customer service. I came in and spotted that they had slices of Princess Cake for sale. I couldn’t believe it I love Princess Cake! I asked the lady behind the counter for a slice, telling her how much I loved that type of cake. Then she offered me a slice on the house! I could not believe it. She was so sweet. I ordered some of their Cheese Delights as well and took my order to go.
The desserts were good. I shared them with my family and we all enjoyed eating them. They were sweet but not overly so and all of them tasted fresh. Yummy desserts coupled with excellent customer service will have me coming back for more.

So I’ve literally tried one of everything and it’s all soooo good!
My favorite are the cream puffs. The bread on the outside is perfectly baked and the cream on the inside not overwhelmingly sweet. Half a dozen for $ 9.50? Yes please!
Also had a white mocha which was designed with a cute little flower on top. So fancy!
The prices for all the Danishes and pastries are all under $ 2 and they’re huge! The more you buy, the cheaper the price. You get 10% off for a dozen.
Sandwiches are made with freshly baked croissants. The portions also much more then I expected!
I love to support local businesses. The fact that the food in this place is amazing is just a bonus!
