This park makes me sad. There are lots of signs that the city hasn’t really been taking care of this area. The fields are probably the only things getting any attention. The bleachers and picnic benches are here are in poor condition. Not much shade so during tball season, there wasn’t much relief from the sun. There are hazards here as well. Hopefully they are fixed really soon(husband has been in touch with the city). Near the picnic benches at field D, my son was running around(excited after his last tball game) and tripped over an old fence post that was sticking out like 2 inches out of the ground, causing him to slam his face on the bench of the picnic table. Thankfully he did not have a serious injury but did have a fracture in his cheek bone. The fence nub, I’ve tripped over as well as other people since it just pokes out of the ground but isn’t big enough to really notice so you know to avoid it. Glad that the city has been cooperative to fix the issue. But yea… Just a sad looking baseball complex. Could really use some TLC.

Throughout the years I have played, worked and watched many baseball games at Keating Park. As a player, it was never too enjoyable to play here as the fields aren’t kept in the greatest shape and the dirt was always too hard making it uncomfortable to slide or dive on. As a spectator, the glaring weakness of this park is the amount of shade that is available as it is almost non existant. I would recommend bringing and umbrella or some other sort of shade if you are coming here on a hot summer day.

OK park to watch baseball. Fields and facility are in just decent shape, I know there are budget constraints and this is a city run facility but the fields could use a little work. Biggest downfall is the bleacher and shade situation. Bleachers are old and uncomfortable and there is very little shade except for the main field. It gets hot in Vacaville and no shade structures makes for a long day of sun exposure.

the city needs to maintain this park better. the fields are terrible! it also gets very very windy here and the snack bar is never open on the weekday games.

Nice ball park for pony and little league games. Bleachers can be painful so bleacher seats or blankets recommended.
