Came here for breakfast on a Sat morning. Started with the coffee. Coffee was fresh and hot. Upon getting a refill the waitress spilled coffee on the table. She said sorry and walked away and left the spilled liquid on the table. I used my one and only napkin to clean HER mess. She delivered the breakfast to me and the eggs were cold and the bacon was see through thin. She seemed a little annoyed with me when I asked her for a couple extra napkins after I used my napkin to clean her mess. This place has gone downhill in the last few years. I mean come on it’s a breakfast how hard can it be to make and serve it warm!

Friendly diner! Free ice cream. This is the place where everyone knows everyone. Very small town vibe. The owner was walking around gabbing with everyone… very friendly guy. Our waitress was very friendly. Food was typical diner fare.

I herd it was real good however it took 10 min before we got coffee or anyone even acknowledged us. 40 minutes to get eggs and toast.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME… …Service wasn’t that good and it wasn’t busy… Come on Dave I’ve herd great things about your place and today it didn’t meet our expectations…

Awful! Closed 15 minutes early when we and many others wanted drive up ice cream! Great anger and frustration! The people working at that time should be let go!

I’ve been going there for as long as I can remember. Their food is great but their ice cream is AMAZING! A small is bigger than a lot of places’ large and their large is gargantuan! Great service inside and out, and Dave and his family are all great people. I go as much as I can go. A staple place of Deerfield for sure!

Been going since they have opened years ago. They are a great business for the Town of Schuyler. Always busy, but that’s a sign of great food. Breakfasts are fantastic, although portion sizes have gotten smaller through the years. Staff are always pleasant and reasonably attentive. Don’t forget to stop for Christmas trees in Nov/​Dec and ice cream in the summer!

While there is a sit-​in restaurant at Dave’s Diner, I came here for some ice cream as I was passing through the area on Route 5. At the diner, they have an window where one can order from outside, and you can select from hard serve or soft serve ice cream. I ordered a chocolate/​vanilla twist soft serve on a cone, and I found that the price and portion was reasonable for what I received.
