First, you cannot reach this place without access to private grounds. But when you are at the Laboratory, this place is near your only real food option within walking distance. And the first bad part is that it does not run on week-ends so, as an unfortunate visitor, you are stuck with no food options within walking distance. This cafeteria management has recently changed. Employees were lead to believe that this would have a beneficial effect, increase options and provide higher food quality for lower prices. It could not be more of the opposite. The food is presented differently but as bad(if not worst) than before with a net price increase overall. The sandwiches are eatable but overpriced and while they came with chips before, now this is extra $(on top of an increase price). The salad bar got a significant cost increase as well. Some food items tend to appear as re-using the items served the day before(meatball pizza from the previous day meatball dish and similar). Overall, it is hard to believe that the recent change of ownership did any good. But this place remains the only on-site option so it can be summarized as eat the low quality food or go hungry. If you have the possibility to go to close by fast-food, do so(it will be better than this place) but without such extreme, there are better options around(check Unilocal).

Very low quality and overpriced for the value. I simply dread the moment when it hits 12pm with no food with me from home and not even a wrapped up left over from the previous day’s dinner, the moment when going to the cafeteria is a necessity for survival on a day busy with meetings.
