I like this Kobe steakhouse. They’ve lasted a long time in a area where their is a lot of restaurant turnover. I’ve never had a problem anytime I’ve been here. Food was always great. I like Kobe better than the Sakura in Bowie. I’ve found the food and service to be better here. The sushi selection is plentiful and very delicious. It’s priced accurately and provides great service. This a great visit if in the area.

2003 – 4 was the year I think, my mom had moved to MD from CA and introduced me to this place(White Marsh location). My summer nights consisted of Crab Dynamite rolls, lots of yum yum sauce, and hibachi from time to time. When I moved here in 2013 I found this location and was a happy camper, the food is always great and the service is average to good. I would definitely recommend them for their rolls as well as hibachi. Their drinks pack a good punch as well. By the way… There’s no yum yum sauce that compares to the greatness of Kobe’s yum yum sauce! :)

Had brunch here. There was no wait. Got seated right away. Our cook was amazing. The food was not bad but not the best I’ve had. I would try this place again just to make sure. The food lacked flavor and my shrimp was over cooked. Be mindful that noodles come standard with your order.

I’ve been to Kobe’s several times but only during lunch. Lunch time is not busy at all, seeing as though it is always empty when I go. When I find something on the menu that I like I usually stick to it. My 2 favorites are the Eel Roll & the Crab Dynamite. And boy is the Crab Dynamite freaking fantastic. It’s like an explosion of flavor in your mouth. Delicious crab meat on top of a sushi roll really does something to your taste buds. And after devouring both of these rolls, I’m usually full by the time I leave. Service is ok and I’ll definitely have to come back to try out the Hibachi.

I’ve been coming to this hibachi spot for years now. It’s always a great choice when either dining with a big group, a date, or if you just want to go by yourself and mingle with the people around you. The food is always great! Never had a complaint with any of the food I’ve had there so far. Their sushi is amazing too! Nice size restaurant with a great atmosphere/vibe. If you haven’t been there yet, you need to go. You won’t be disappointed!

Extremely overpriced hibachi and it isn’t worth it at all. The only thing good and worth buying here is the sushi.

Love it to bits. Have been coming here for the life of me. And each time o forget writing a review. I think I enjoy so much I leave here too stuffed to remember anything else. They are customer friendly to the T. And you feel like you are in a place where they actually appreciate your being there. This is what I call the real deal. Clean space, tasty food, nice and friendly crowd and all. I can go on and on but I got to go. I will recommend more and more people to KoBe. I am more than just a patron, I am a fanatic.

I was visiting my old high school buddies and we wanted hibachi, we got here and there wasn’t too packed. The atmosphere was nice. The waitress took our drink orders and my Long Island tea was good! Most places make it weak or too watered down. I love their crab dynamite and their eel and avocado roll. The presentation was entertaining the whole time. The food was plentiful and it’s best to come really hungry because it fills you up. I have been to many hibachi places in the area but this place is one of my favorites, although this location is very far for me it will definitely be worth the trip for me.

Since i was just a chbild visiting here and there, I always made sure we had room in our trip to head to this japanese steakhouse. Now 23 I can take to reviewing sites and share a more mature take of my experience here. A lot of people skeptical about hibatchi think«hibatchi is hibatchi, what could be different». Now I’ve been to a few different kinds, including Edo’s & the famous Benihanas, and the experience is friendly, family like, and the patrons having a good time join in your fun as well. I have had just about everything on the menu except scallops(because that is one thing I do not like), and in this specific event I had the hibatchi steak as medium as I had asked. all of the ingredients, hearty, filling, I suggest you come with an empty stomach or prepared to leave with bags. Miso soup, salad with peanut sauce I wish I could purchase, followed by fried rice, vegetable stir fry, lo mein, and then your protein. most of the time if you are sitting with another family, you may end up with a shrimp or two. go with the family and have a great time.

This place is pretty cool. My family loves to come here. It’s fun seeing the guys light up the grill in the beginning and do the utensil flipping tricks. A few toss an egg into their chef’s hat, which I still don’t understand how the shell doesn’t break despite whatever cushioning they incorporate. You sit with a big party, about twelve people, or you join other parties at the station. If you have allergies, they will cook the food accordingly. And there is a lot of food. A lot of food. A «lot» of food. So be prepared to take food home as they are more than prepared with many Styrofoam boxes for you to cart your leftovers away in. Yay! Environment! Overall a pleasant night out. The staff is always cordial. The food is pretty decent for the amount of sauces they pile on. I can see why it’s a neighborhood favorite.

Ok so this place is close to my heart because this is where my husband proposed to me at in front of his family and friends. Kobe’s worked with him to make everything seem like just a fantastic birthday party for one of our friends. They helped him surprise me with a slice of cake with my ring on it as dessert that I happened to let some of my face fall in the whipped cream as a result of crying so bad. Tom was our cook & was absolutely amazing back then. I want to go back, maybe we’ll go back this weekendor next :-). You chose what style & types of stir fried food & they prepare it in front of you on large griddles. Love them!

As you can see by my earlier review, I clearly enjoyed the food the last time I came here. So much so that I ventured back to this pricey restaurant within the month. I had a busy day and couldn’t spare the time to eat in, so I ordered to-go. Having recently ordered from this same exact restaurant around the same time not too long ago, I was expecting the same quality of food. That is not what I got. The wait time was pretty standard; they had the food read in 20 – 30 minutes. Once I got there, I paid for my food. I noticed that they had a mandatory tip, which seems very strange for take out. This made me a little annoyed, but I disregarded it because I had so thoroughly enjoyed the food last time. When it came time for my to eat my food, I anticipated the same quality of food. That was not the case. I’m not sure if it was because the food had cooled off a little or if, like most restaurants, the to-go quality just wasn’t as good. This time, I tried my food at first without the Yum Yum sauce. Truly, the sauce makes the food. Without it, the food tastes mediocre at best. Even when I added the Yum Yum sauce, it still didn’t taste as good. It didn’t taste nearly as fresh. I felt like I had to force myself not eat until I was full, which was not the experience I had the first time. All of this was made even worse by the amount of money I spent on the dish. Overall, for how much I spent on my meal, I would like to give it 2 – 2.5 stars. However, Since I had such a fantastic meal the first time, I am keeping it at a solid 3. Be careful and make sure to soak your food in Yum Yum sauce.

Family went for lunch to celebrate my niece’s Middle School Graduation. Service was attentive, no issues with requesting separate checks. Note gratuity is added, regardless of size of the party. Show the chef put on, after all this is why you go to a Japanese Steak House, was enjoyable. Trying to catch the flying shrimp in your mouth does not get old. Loved watching my 2 year old cousins reactions to the sites, sounds and fire included in the show. Mushroom soup was nice and peppery, loved it. Dressing on the salad was outstanding and the filet, shrimp hibachi combination was good. Did not try the sushi; but recommend for the hibachi experience.

What can I say about this place we had a cook that it was his first time or so they say first day at work. He did not put on a show my father-in-law I ordered no onions and they gave the whole table no onions. The alcoholic beverages came out before the water or any other drinks. The rice was crunchy. For some reason our waiter thought it was better to clean up so we can hurry up and get off rather then continue to service. I had to get up twice from my seat to find a waiter and ask for refills on my drink. If you’re ever in the area save your money and visit any other place but here.

I’ve had some mixed experiences with this place. I’ve come for work a few times during lunch and everything was fine. Prices were decent and never had any problems. That was probably around summer 2013 to 2014. More recently, a few months ago, we attempted to come for dinner. When we arrived they had apparently just seated a group of 45 people. It took several minutes for a host to greet us, and then told us it would be a 30 – 45 minute wait. I’m really confused why they couldn’t seat us, as there were plenty of open tables, and just let us know it’d be a while before a chef came over. They didn’t even offer to seat us at the sushi bar. It seemed very odd to me. We ended up leaving as we didn’t want to wait. My most recent time just a day days ago was overall fine. You get a lot of food with your hibachi order, however, I would have to say the quality has gone downhill. The rice seemed overcooked, there wasn’t enough sauce on the fried rice(which you have to pay extra for btw), and the flavor just wasn’t all that great. You get your monies worth in the amount of food, but when the quality is low, you don’t want to eat it, so it’s a waste. With that said, their sushi is on point. And for the price it’s pretty good. I think in the future I will just go and eat at the sushi bar and ignore the overpriced and low-quality hibachi all together.

So I have only had pick up from Kobe’s but I can still say that it is a nice little hibachi spot from what I have seen. Kobe’s is located in a nice little Towne Centre in Largo, MD — Upper Marlboro, MD, not too far from the movie theatre. The inside looks like your typical hibachi spot, a bunch of hibachi tables and a sushi bar in the back for those who don’t care too much for seeing the same show over and over again(raises hand), which would be me! The hosts are okay; they aren’t too friendly and always look panicked when you walk in the door, until you say«hi» first of course. Like clockwork, I always catch them on their phones texting away while there are customers sitting not even 50 ft away from them, waiting to be seated. Not a good look! I usually always walk past them to the pickup counter where there is a really nice man back there that is always friendly and quick to help you with your order. Whenever I order from Kobe, I usually get the Crab Dynamite Roll and the Spicy Crab. The spicy crab is really good but the Crab Dynamite is incredible!!! It is probably one of the best sushi rolls that I have had in my life … Mmmmm mmmm mmmm: D. I have had the hibachi once before — lobster and shrimp hibachi with fried rice and noodles. It was soooooo good but the lobster was super expensive, can’t remember the cost but I know my eyes lit up when I saw the price that night, haha! I will say though, the food does not disappoint. Kobe’s is a cute little spot. I can’t wait to come one day and actually dine in. I heard they have some pretty good drinks. Kobe’s seems like a great place for anyone — families, a date night, dinner with friends, etc. Favs: Crab Dynamite Roll Would Change: New hostesses with bubbly personalities

What in the world, I can’t believe I’ve never written a review for this place as long as I have been going??? Ok, sorry for the wait my dear Unilocaler’s HEREGOES… I have been going to this location for over 10 years and the food is great. I’ve had the steak, lobster, chicken, lo mein, fried rice, sushi platters, nigiri, samshimi EVERYTHINGWASGOOD! My sushi experience was awesome. Sit at the sushi bar and enjoy watching the Chef work his magic and do what he enjoys. I tell you this guy is truly passionate about his art and it shows in his presentation and taste. He is a delight to watch and it is like a sushi party in your mouth every time you bite into one of his awesome pieces. Want to know more about Sushi? Ask him and he will be happy to explain away. The smoked salmon nigiri is great! They haven plenty of choices raw, cooked, baked, they have really stepped outside of the box with there sushi recipes. My hibachi experience was pretty cool. Very entertaining. The kids love it. The cooks are very interactive with the throwing of the shrimp to see who can catch it in there mouth, Steamer on the choo choo train with the onions. Cook your meat any way you request it with no problem. You get plenty of food for the money you pay. Lobster isn’t rubbery(overcooked). Chicken and steak seasoned very well. Lo Mein and Rice is fresh and compliments the dish well. Tends to get crowded on the weekends. Mainly when the weather is nice. Happy Hour, Monday — Friday, 3pm — 7pm. Good beer selection. My personal favorite is the Jolly Rancher! If you like white liquor you’ll love this! Strong, good and a just the right amount of sweet! They have Sake but I’ve only tried it a few times. Customer service for the most part is good. A new waitress was serving during my most recent visit there and she didn’t seem to be all that excited about working that night and it showed in her actions. It was clear that she was new and still trying to learn the sections of the restaurant but she just didn’t seem to have the right personality for this job OR I truly caught her on the wrong day. The Sushi Chef noticed it and went above and beyond to serve us, chat when he could and just provide all around good customer service. I hope she gets the hang of things or find her niche elsewhere because this place definitely can’t afford to have bad customer service. Overall, I think it’s worth dropping in to try.

STILLDELICIOUS! My husband and I stopped by for a later dinner here, and our teppanyaki chef was good and cooked all our order as requested — everything was still delicious and tasty(the salad with the lovely generous amount of ginger dressing, the shrimp appetizer, the noodles, the fried rice, the veggies, and the meat) — I always get the filet mignon, and I love how they give you 2 per order — that is a bargain! Our server this time was Ms. Silo, and she was very sweet and efficient. Love this place!!! :D +Filet Mignon hibachi: D +noodles included! +out-of-this-world gigantic portions!!! +friendly and efficient staff: D
