I love Calvert Brewing Company! I first visited the beer garden at Running Hare Vineyard last summer. At the time, the selection was only 4 beers, but I enjoyed them very much. I am usually more into dark beers, so I was skeptical of the lighter beers they offered, but I really enjoyed them! They were made well and both my boyfriend and I agreed that they were going to do some great things. We returned a second time to the beer garden and, sure enough, they had added two more beers: a flapjack maple milk stout, and a double amber. They were wonderful! We even bought a growler of the maple milk stout. Everyone at the beer garden was very friendly and we really enjoyed ourselves both times!
When I heard about the tap house opening, I was very excited. We visited about a week after opening, and it was wonderful! It’s a nice environment with a large bar, from which you can see into the brewery. Everyone is very friendly, and we even got a tour of the brewery. They also had some more beers: an english bitter and a saison. I loved both of them, especially the english bitter! I will definitely be back many more times and am looking forward to watching Calvert Brewing Company grow in the coming years.

Love the beer, love the people! You can bring food or order take out as you drink beer! Excellent variety!
