After I took the back off of my Timex Indiglo and replaced the battery, I realized it required a jeweler’s tool to get it back on. I stopped in this place today to get it done. When I walked in, the man behind the counter was sitting on a stool talking to a customer. I waited, and after the customer left, the man behind the counter did not say anything to me, nor did he get off of the stool. Instead, he just looked at me like I was bothering him. I walked up to the counter where he was sitting in the stool and told him that I had replaced the battery myself but just needed to get the back of the watch back on, and he interrupted me and rudely said, «That will cost you $ 9.95.» I said I would take it somewhere else, and he just nodded as if to say he expected that and didn’t care. These people (or at least the man behind the counter) are rude and apathetic. I would have continued to take my watches there for batteries and servicing if he hadn’t been so rude and had such a ridiculous price. (I have since found another place in Silver Spring that will do it for $ 3 and seemed happy to have a customer.) It’s obvious that C F Brandt doesn’t want my business, and I am happy not to give it to them. Stay away from this place, and take your business to someone who appreciates customers.
