Rhodes and Son Construction

I hired Rhodes and Son Construction to build new house, but didn’t get past the foundation. They began work on forming foundation, but then delayed for months before pouring foundation, and never could explain why project was being delayed. Very poor communication. When foundation was poured, half of beam buckets were in wrong location and form boards had moved and caused misaligned stem walls and added cost to correct mistakes for new carpenters, whom I had brought on to aid and speed project along. Rhodes never gave detailed cost breakdown for invoices, and were always reluctant to explain what I was paying for. After new carpenters were hired to assist Rhodes, the Rhodes miscommunication continued, including ordering material I explicitly said not to order. The Rhodes would not accept the additional help, and quit the project.
