What a great mom and pop shop! I’ve been coming here for years and I basically grew up at this place. After venturing around overcrowded big supermarkets I realized that the small«hi and byes» and the meaningful conversations with them are definitely a bonus. There selection of produce is just as good as any super market! Thank you Dai Quang for serving our community!

Note: This was written at about 3:00 am, so I apologize for any over the top sarcasm ;-) I give this a five star rating simply because I love going here. The place is very tiny, but if you can get past the fact it doesn’t look like Trader Joe’s or any other mega-market for that matter, and find yourself often exploring an inner globe-trotter, than look no farther. Ask the owners food they recommend and how to prepare them. You will be surprised to discover that extremely exotic, healthy produce is available in your backyard. I’ve discovered the joy of fresh jackfruit, dragonfuit, and breadfruit, not to mention several varieties of mangoes, papaya, lychees, and a plethora of Asian veggies. You just can’t go to Superfresh and purchase fresh Thai basil, baby bok choi, sweet potato leaves, and other yet untried items. They also have some interesting tubers, including purple yams, taro root, and golden sweet potatoes. Note: since these items are available only when in season, don’t expect that all your produce fantasies will instantly come true; you may need to wait! I’m still waiting for the elusive Durian to arrive. For the fainthearted, they usually have apples, peaches, potatoes, plums, and onions. But if you’re only shopping for these things, you might as well as go somewhere else. Also, if you’re offended that every item is not written in English(using silver-plated ink) then also go somewhere else. The owners and/or other employees would be happy to assist you with any questions. Also, some customers may be helpful when exploring new foods. I was taught several ways to cook breadfruit between the owner and a Jamaican customer. Did I mention the pricing? I purchased red jasmine rice(very nutritious and high in fiber) at a price equivalent to the white, dull stuff at a typical supermarket. They also have much better prices on Asian staples, including sauces(soy, oyster, chili, Mirin, rice vinegar, Sriracha), seasonings and bullions, and dried noodles. They have frozen seafood, meats, and other Asian prepared meals, but I haven’t ventured too much in this area. Give me time, though!
