Thinnery

First off make sure that the customer is always well taken care of. The owner scared the day lights out of me as he reacted to the soft serve machine being broken. One thing you always want to do is remain calm and collected in front of a customer– not cursing and slamming on a countertop complaining about your day. I still craved something sweet so I picked out a cinnamon horn, a chocolate horn and a pecan mousse brownie. The cinnamon horn being for myself and the other two for my mom and sister. I left the store with little intention of coming back.
On the way home I bite into the cinnamon horn and was taken aback! It tasted burnt and it TASTED like it was sugar free! It had absolutely no flavor to it at all! So I call the thinnery back asking for a refund. I was left with him refusing to give me a refund and him cursing me out then he hanged up on me! Owners must understand that a customer isn’t always going to like a product and its their job to reimburse them. He may have owned this business for a while but he is far from knowing how to run it.

I heard about this place about 5 years ago but only recently decided to try it. The desserts are very good. I’m not giving 5 stars because there are certain desserts I didn’t like. I think it just depends when they are made and I get that sometimes the recipe can be altered a bit. Other than that, the chocolate smoothie, ice cream sandwiches, and chocolate brownie are a hit every time. They are amazing and I highly recommend them.

Walked in for my very first time today 5÷25÷2016. Was amazed on the selection and prices. Sugar free treats can be a little pricey. Well, I ended up buying the double chocolate Mousse and a brownie. Did not taste sugar free so I love it. And the man that helped me is a very friendly person. All the customers seemed to love him. I will definitely go back. Thank you…

Been coming here for years and has not dissapointed me one time. Desserts are made fresh daily, healthier choice especially when wanting that sweet craving to be fulfilled without that sugar guilt. This is My one stop shop also for grandma’s favorite candy that she can eat since she is diabetic.
Service is always welcoming and owner is always willing to assist you.

We gave this place another try… the cake was phenomenal. It was so creamy and smooth, definitely did not taste like it was sugar free. The gentleman who took my order not only came in and remained at the bakery for my specific cake order even though he was apparently not feeling well, it was very sweet and he went above and beyond to provide us with a yummy birthday cake. Will be back for sure! Also the cake was very reasonably priced considering not all bakeries can pull off a sugar free cake.

I was recently told that I was pre-​diabet and the Dr. said if I did not start a diabetic diet now I would be on insulin soon??? YIKES… and the worst part is I have a bad sweet tooth but the owner greg is a neighbor of my sisters and has made cake for my dad who is diabetic and i know the cakes are the best but he has pies, muffins and an assortment of deserts. I got some of the chocolate cake and berry pie and took the to work for a potluck everyone said how good it was and then i told them the big secret, IT’S SUGAR FREE!!!
everyone was so shocked so I think I have converted them. But go in and try it to believe that this is actually diabetic friendly… awsome

I went here for the first time today and all I have to say is WOW!!! I got two little cakes and one strawberry napoleon pastry. The pastry tasted like it was full fat, it was amazing. I will definitely be back to try other delicious items!

The best desserts in town… especially if you watch sugar. In addition, Greg is the nicest guy in the world!

Came here to pick up a gift card and a haul for some family members. The pastries look and taste amazing! The owner is the star here though… most welcoming and kind person that you don’t see too much of nowadays.

This bakery has many pastries to choose from. Most sugar free and many low in carbs. I wish I had found this place sooner, I have gestational diabetes and have been aching for dessert. Only about a week or so before my baby is born but I’m sure I’ll be back to try some other goodies.

There is a big selection of sugar free sweets, pastries & candies to choose from. I was so happy to find a place so close to me that specializes in sugar free goodies that I can have & won’t spike my levels ! On top of that, I’m saving a ton of calories & not feeling like I’m missing out on satisfying my sweet tooth. Greg is really nice, helpful & knowledgeable. He even let me taste a sample of his sugar free chocolate ice cream which was soooo yummy! I bought a variety of things from pastries to some sugar free licorice & candy. My favorite was the brownie. It was perfect, sweet & moist ! I’m super excited that every now & then I will be able to treat myself & not worry that I’m going to get sick. There aren’t many establishments out there that are specific for diabetics so, this place is definitely a jewel. Oh & Greg also has sugar free pies!!! Thank you for the love that you put into your pastries, Greg! I’ll be back very soon !:)

This place is incredible. Some of their sugar free items taste just like the fattening buttercream stuff you would buy from the bakery or store. They have a great selection. I can eat a nice sized chocolate cake without any affect on my blood sugar which is a true treat. Pretty much anything you get here is golden.

Great place for diabetics. I get my dad special treats for the holidays so he doesn’t feel left out. Nice selection of candied, chocolate and baked goodies!

Awesome place. Really friendly n helpful. All pastries are amazing. Highly recommended for diabetic people.

I came here long ago for a birthday cake for my diabetic brother.
The man who owns the store is very pleasant and helpful. He’s such a nice guy and will help you any way we can.
We got a vanilla cake and good lord, we were stunned at the rich and creamy flavor this cake had. You would have never guessed it was sugar free, hell, we actually thought it was much better than many of the non-​sugar free cakes we’ve eaten. This place is a gem!

It was my dad’s birthday a couple of days ago and I wanted to get him some treats for his giant sweet tooth. Having been diagnosed with diabetes for about ten years, it’s been a little tough doing the whole birthday cake thing year after year. Finding [affordable] and strictly sugar-​free bakeries has been no easy task, but I decided to stop by this place after having read so many positive reviews on Unilocal (yay!).
The location itself is tucked away in a strip mall, and I actually missed it driving past the first time around. (If you’ve never been there before, just look for the Jack in the Box. Thinnery’s parking lot is adjacent to the drive thru.)
I walked in not knowing what to expect, but it was super cute– very mom and pop-​ish, with lots of Route 66 paraphernalia. The owner walked out from the back and was unbelievably sweet and helpful. He described what each item was, which items were the most popular, etc. I decided on a chocolate covered mini cake and a coconut/​chocolate mousse cup (the last one of that flavor, which he kindly offered to make fresh– How awesome is that?)
Dad loved the sweets, and I will definitely be a returning customer.

This is the best calorie friendly, low sugar or no sugar, low or no everything dessert/​bakery place to go. It is a very humble store and the owner will be the sweetest guy you will ever go to. He is kind and if he has time he offers to make something for you. I hope this store gets more recognized and I can discover more if his items. As of right now I only tried his sugar free brownies and chocolate mousse tart, but they were both fantastic. I can’t wait to try the rest of the desserts I bought. They are also freezer friendly. Perfect for those days when you crave dessert but want to keep ur calorie intake to a minimum. I hope you guys go!
