Every time I come here I leave unbelieving of how good it was. I can’t say I’ve ever had bad Indian food but OMG Swad is hands down great. The main dining room is weird but the food more than makes up for it. The banquet halls look gigantic though and really classy; if your event guests can handle Indian food it would be a perfect location. I just need to make it back for the lunch buffet now. Oh and delivery is quick on those nights you don’t want to leave the house.

The food tasted very good 4⁄5 stars. We tried a few different items, however I wasn’t pleased that the meat came out about 10min before the other food so we were mostly done eating the meat items before even getting the rice and curry. I would recommend this place. Try it for your self hopefully they have better timing next time.

I don’t know where to start, tried it twice hoping for better. We’ll never go back. Food: Samosas and pakoras = delicious All other food was bland, lacked flavor and very small portions for entrees. They are always out of stuff: take it off the menu if you aren’t going to serve it. Price for a glass of wine was ridiculous 8.00, for glass of Stella? Rice was extra. Food was so bland we didn’t even take a to go box for our leftovers. Service:(though polite) very long time to get service, too long for drink refills and we were discouraged from dishes. Not even a busy night.

Really poor service. Despite discouraging my friend Nitesh Singhvi to go to this place, he went there a few days ago and sent me a picture of hair in the rice he ordered(you can find his review somewhere); when we complained the manager didn’t even apologize, just took the quarter plate, said«I’ll take this» and went away. I believe some of the Indian restaurants pay heed just to the American customers. As a reply to his review, the manager gave the reason that they were busy with other customers, and tried to cajole him for another free meal. Restaurant owners need to understand that this is not about free food. It’s about food!

Exceptional service and food. We will be back for sure. The Lamb Vindaloo was perfect match for the garlic nan.

Really poor quality. I found hair in my rice(photo attached) and when complained about it. They did not bother to apologize. Never coming back.

Ok so ordered food for delivery recently and thought we would give the Sunday Brunch a try… called before hand to ask if it was a champagne brunch and was told«yes». We get there and the champagne is $ 2.00 a glass, food selection would be good I guess if your a vegetarian… only two dishes w/meat with an already light selection. Service was horrible and don’t go into the restroom unless you want to revisit what you ate through the vial smell of sewage!!! Be prepared for them to oversell and talk about their 100+ person banquet hall! Order it for delivery if you must but don’t go there to eat… you won’t want their food or the name in your mouth ever again! So disappointed after a good home delivery experience.

Really great place. Went for the $ 10 all you can eat and definitely worth it. The staff is also really nice and attentive which is a definite plus. The tikka masala is really good(I also love the garbanzo beans) The actual dining spot seemed small but its probably for lunch time! Definitely coming back if I have the chance to.

Wow! Look out Bombay! This was exquisite Indian cuisine. The Chana Masala was amazing, hard to find in many Indian lunch buffets. Worth the drive from Fontana. The service was great too.

I always come here with my 2 boys, one of whom is Indian and the other is Pakistani. This is the second place I’ve had Indian cuisine, the first not being too memorable because I didn’t have the palate for food that I do now so I just sit back and let my mate order. In short I love it here. We usually get the spicy chicken tikka masala, an Indian staple which is chicken breast in a heavy cream sauce, garlic naan bread, a rice dish and mango lasse, a mango yogurt drink, which are all on point. Everyone is given a personal plate and the food is served on its own seperate plates so everyone can serve themselves from those plates. We always order naan through out our meal because God forbid the naan run out and you have a bite of food without it! My Pakistani friend swears this is on the lower end of the Indian restaurants in So Cal and jokes about the quality of the food but I love it and so does my other friend. Although we’re usually here for dinner, we came here for lunch recently and had the buffet where you can serve yourself as you please and it was as good as ever. Would recommend!

This place is the bomb. Their sauces are definitely made there because they are fucking good. The price/food ratio is kinda weird. Some items Coke in large portions and are very cheap and I noticed some fun little apps might be the same price for so little. They have bomb food tho get on it. Also 600 person banquet room, about to reserve myself a party!

For the price, this is excellent Indian cuisine. I particularly liked the black lentils. Lots of ghee. Very casual. One note: A «medium/mild» spice level(4⁄10) is plenty spicy, so be forewarned. For me, 4⁄10 was a perfect balance.

I ordered from the Unilocal app. Initially, I was going to order delivery, but I was discouraged by the $ 5 delivery charge on top of the $ 30 minimum amount that I had to order. With the pickup option, you can avoid this. I’m new to Indian food, so I wanted to make sure that I had a variety of different things to try to see what I liked and what I didn’t. For $ 24.99, they offer the Non-veg plate, which comes with a bunch of different meat like goat, lamb, and fish, curries, naan, rice, and a dessert. I also had the Mango Lassi. The plus was that I ordered before they had opened and about 15 minutes after opening it was all ready for me to pickup. That was great. Also, the Mango Lassi and Garlic Naan was amazing. Once I got home, I immediately heated up a plateful of rice and set off to try one of everything. The Fish Tikka was good and the curries gave me the spice that I was looking for. I was discouraged though because my family and I couldn’t really tell the difference between each dish. They all tasted the same. They tasted good, but tasting the same kind of ruins the variety I was aiming for. So the one or two dishes that I liked the most, I wouldn’t be able to order again, because there was no way I could know exactly what it was. With all this, I would’ve probably at least given them a 4 because I did enjoy the spice, but they had also forgotten the dessert of the day that was stated on the order. Not sure if I’d try again. Maybe will check out the buffet someday.

Before I share my review, I must say, I don’t pretend to be an expert on Indian food. In fact I am not sure if I truly know what authentic Indian food tastes like, but I have been to my fair share of Indian restaurants and really enjoy this exciting cuisine! I rolled up to Swad for lunch on Monday around 12:15. It’s located in a strip center, fine during the day but perhaps a bit more dicey at night. I walked in and was greeted kindly by my host/sever who took me to my table. I noticed right away how clean the place was and the buffet looked pipping hot with a great selection of foods. I got in line(there wasn’t a real line of people) and tried some of my favorite Indian buffet go-tos: Chicken Tikka Masala — Excellent quality of chicken. Certainly, all-white meat and cooked perfectly. The masala was not as spicy as I hoped. I agree with several of the reviews that this place is tailored for the«Westerners’ pallet.» Given the lack of spice, I could see how this would be a beef(no pun intended) with those who are Indian or really know authentic food. Nonetheless, the balance of the cream sauce with the tomato base was perfect! Not too creamy, not too much tomato. I could look beyond the lack of spice to see this was a quality made dish Saag — I consider this the Indian version of the American creamed spinach. This version had quite a bit of garlic and was obviously simmered for a long time, very flavorful but yes can def taste the garlic Rice– Solid, standard Indian basmati rice Garlic Nan– so the buffet is $ 9.99 a person, which is a great value, this also includes all you can eat Nan too! OMG this was incredible, I could have had two baskets full but stopped at one. Being a glutton would prevent me from finishing out the work week. I believe they have plain Nan too, but why get plain when you can get garlic?! Service– good, friendly and not annoying. Filled my water and I was in and out in 40 minutes, perfect for my lunch break at work. Overall, this place has a lot to offer, including a great assortment of vegetarian, meat and vegan items. Although some of the heat wasn’t there for me, their hot sauce and chutneys were incredible so I could add that extra flare I was looking for. The price point for lunch is really a great deal, especially fun to take folks who may have not had Indian food or are new to it, as they can try a little of everything to really see what they like. I look forward to trying and reviewing some of their additional buffet items!

Swad of India has their Indian lunch buffet 7 days a week for only $ 9.99/person. This is an extremely good deal. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and I was they only person there and the guy working told me to sit anywhere I wanted to. He seemed preoccupid and I basically had enough time to gather a plate before he came to ask what type of naan I wanted. Garlic naan please! I found their buffet selection to be on the disappointing side. I have had better experience at Indian restaurants in Irvine or a closer one would be Koyla Indian Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga. They did not have the Chicken Tandoori, which really takes away from the experience. Not only that but their labels were missing and then some where hand written without a description. From the food that did have labels, I enjoyed the Karihi Veggies and the Malai Kofta. The rice was beyond dry. And this is the first time in the history of all Indian food outings where I did NOT like the Chicken Tikki Masala! The sauce was watery in consistency and the taste was not flavorful at all. I could not take more than two bites of the chicken, which made me regret getting too much of this stuff. So AFTER I was basically done with my food, the garlic naan came. I was hoping for it to redeem the whole experience since I LOVEGARLICNAAN! And when I say love… I mean I can usually stuff my face with two baskets of garlic naan and then hate myself for it afterwards. Here at Swad of Indian I only took two bites of the garlic naan and I found it to be burnt on the bottom(maybe that’s why it took so long). And there was no essence of any garlic on it. Sad sad day when I can’t finish my naan basket. So no Chicken Tandoori, unappetizing Chicken Tikki Masala and burnt garlic-less Garlic Naan bread. Despite the price being very affordable I really feel so incentive to come back. I rather travel further for good food.

I’ve been here about 5 times. Let me just say that this place never disappoints. I honestly love the customer service. Not only is the customer service great, but so is the food. I tend to dine alone at the bar but this time I brought a good friend along. The server was kind enough to recommend an entrée for my friend who has never had indian food. This time around I have paneer(vegetarian) and kingfisher beer. Okay… how do I describe the flavor? Oh yes, AMAZING. It didn’t taste vegetarian at all. I also ordered a side of naan with butter. Thanks again Swad of India, I love dinning here.

We found this place when a friend got a coupon for dinner. I know, not the best way to find a new place to eat, but man, I’ll tell you … this place was really good. Be forewarned though, this isn’t a «man-I-gotta-grab-a-quick-dinner-because-the-movie-starts-in-15-minutes» type of place. This is a real, sit down, relax, and enjoy the food the people you’re with type of establishment. What I like about Swad is that everything is prepared when you order it … so it takes a little time. But it is SO worth the wait! I had the goat marsala and the garlic chili naan … absolutely to die for! So good! This is one of those places you’ll want to keep going back to so you can try everything on the menu. It’s really that good. Plus a side bonus, the have one of the largest banquet halls I’ve ever seen! Like no kidding, it’s about the size of a football stadium! You’d never know from the modest store front that this was here, but you really need to go check it out. Bottom line is I really enjoyed my dinner there. Like Arnold said in Terminator 2; «I’ll be back.»

I have tried most of the local Indian restaurants, and this one gets my top nod. The thing that sets it over the edge? The food. It seems like most of the places around here play it safe in terms of the food: nothing too spicy, nothing too exotic. I get it. I am by no no means a heat freak, but I appreciate that this place usually has an item or two that ratchets it up a little bit by adding just enough spice that shows how great Indian food can be. For those choosing to eat the lunch buffet, the dining area is modest. However, in the back, they have a gigantic space designed to large parties. The service here is pretty good and they do a great job in making sure that the naan bread keeps coming to your table.
