Chick’s Sporting Goods

If I remember correctly, this location is the Chick’s Outlet and has older merchandise and clothes, but at a discount. If you are in the area, then I’d recommend stopping by this location because they have a lot of items for guys (t-​shirts, shorts) that are heavily discounted.

This store actually rates 2.5 stars in my mind, so I rounded up.
I like Chick’s. They’re a good store if you need to pick up equipment or athletic shoes, or a lot of what you may need to do exercise, join a sports team, etc.
My objections to Chick’s are more on the way the business operates. First, this store is humongous. It is really hard to get through it if you need stuff from a couple of different departments, and it sort of makes shopping a real pain. This is coupled with the fact that a lot of the people who work here don’t know where a lot of stuff is. Goggles for swimming? How about near the skiing stuff? My final complaint is this store is 80% a clothing store. Sporting goods to me doesn’t mean a t-​shirt with a nike logo on it. I can get a t-​shirt at most department stores. It’s really annoying that you have to wade through all of the clothing racks to get to the equipment and supplies which are up against the back walls of the store.
All of that said, this is still a good store, even with my minor annoyances. I prefer REI over Chick’s, but they don’t fully overlap in offerings, so one does not replace the other.
